The Best,Most Reasonable Cam I've Ever Owned,
I've been through a few Security Cams in My day, and this one beats all the priors both in clarity and night vision capability. I've used it with and without lights on at dark with a minor adjustment to the monitor or T V contrast & brightness and this little camera makes night into day under lighted or total darkness !
Color is continuous at night, but doesn't interfere at all with clarity unless You have it turned up too high a level. I very highly recommend this little "Watchman", as it can be permanently mounted and set up within 30 minutes, if handy I'm getting another very soon!

Good Value For The Money,
Our front door has tinted glass and so putting in a peep hole was not an option. I originally looked at Lowe's for a security camera, but found this one online and it was less expensive.
Unit came quickly and it's a small device with miles of cable! It comes with 60 feet of basically phone cable attached to the unit. Some other models of cameras had S-Video cables and that might provide a better picture. I can only guess on that.
I measured the amount of cable I needed and cut it down to about 25 feet. I have a phone crimping tool and so I reconnected it. Took a bit of talent, but I ended up getting it right the first time. Like I said, it is basically phone wire with a RJ-11 connector on the end.
The camera is small and looks almost cheap because it is so small, but it works well and the body appears to be made of metal. The mounting base is plastic as well as the adjustable neck. It is color camera, but I hooked it up to a 7" black and white TV via its yellow and white RCA jacks.
So let me be clear. One end of the cable connects to the camera via a phone jack which plugs into a short cable connector on the camera. The other end has the RCA jacks, one yellow and one white.

Also this camera has sound! Pretty neat bonus. So you can listen to anyone speaking in front of it.
It comes with a plastic shield that snaps over it and you mount it with three small screws. Of course, if you mount if overhead like I did, positioning it and screwing it overhead can be a bit tricky. Like I said, it’s pretty small, but does a big job.
Picture is very clear for the price and works well in the night with the lighting we had via our porch lights.
I think it's a good buy and have no regrets.

Meets my need
Pros: Easy to set up
Cons: View angle could be wider
Arrived early… Set it up in less than an hour. It is hooked up to a Toshiba DVD Recorder. I bought it to be test for a more sophisticated security system. I can only select 8 hours of recording at a time with this set up, but the result show that a full security system with several cameras and a PC/Hard drive system will be added to my near future wish list. This camera will be a part of the new system.

1. Pretty Good
Pros: wider viewing angle/ very small/ easy to install
Cons: picture quality/night vision/ and plugs limited
Well they are small and really not to noticeable, I was expanding a 8ch setup to a 16ch setup, and these were the cheap and what looks like good route. The quality is good in the day, but the night vision lacks compared to the q- see cameras that came with my setup. Also the plugs on these lorex cameras are RCA style video/audio, when my DVR takes BNC, that means adapters... not a huge deal but when you spend the money you would think it would come with one...the cable is easy to hook up and 100 feet is great if I needed it all... otherwise they make a mess trying to untangle. They seem like they won’t hold up too well over time cause they are all plastic and the mounts are plastic and semi flimsy... but time will tell... again I am comparing these lorex's to the q see's i have that are metal housing, and metal brackets to plastic housing and mounts, 6IR lights vs. 29IR lights. I do like the viewing angle a lot, you get a better scope of large areas, and you’re not hugely zoomed in like the others i have... I’d buy again,
Also if you’re just hooking 1 of these up to your TV for a simple setup this is the cheap and best way to go

Ahh! It's Ok,
Great Daytime video but night is not that good. For $99.99 it's not a bad camera at all. Great for up close garage door, maybe driveway coverage. It does have a built-in mic so it would work well as a front door cam. Easy installation. Not complicated at all. Good Luck w/ yours.
