4 Port PCI Card, "The sofware's instalation in structions are very simple, providing the average user with confidence of installing and running the software. I would definately recommend this software for either home or business ( I am a home user of this software, four cameras currently attatch). Finally, I have been running the software continuous for approximately 3 weeks now, it has not interfere with any other software which I have used on my computer and it does not slow down my internet connection." |

I should have gotten a book for dummies, "Before I wrote the review on Home Depot I should have read set up for dummies (lol) finally I now know that I had to pay Lorex a fee in order to get online monitoring services. Now I know better and this security is GREATTTTTTTTT!!!!!!" Response from Home Depot:By LOREX, March 10, 2011 LOREX would like to clarify that there are not any chargeable services related to this model (the QLR0440.) The end user does not have to subscribe to any service, nor pay any fees, to set-up and operate the remote monitoring capability to its fullest extent. |

No manufacturer support "I bought one of these and used it for about 2 months. It quit working. I attempted to get assistance from Lorex and was told effectively that it was my problem. There was no support to find out what was wrong with the card, no program to run to see what might be causing the problem. I was running on Windows XP Pro with it and nothing would assist me. The manufacturer would not even offer to replace the card or to have it shipped directly to them to find out what had happened to it. The cameras and software are OK. Just some kind of problem with the PCI card." |
