Fills a Very Specific Need
We were fascinated by the possibilities of installing this little gadget as soon as it was offered through Amazon Vine: our house is long and narrow, with the garage and a single bedroom window facing onto the driveway and the street. The living space is at the back, and the door and front porch is halfway along one side. Basically, there is no way to look out from most of the windows (save that one front bedroom) and see what is going on in the driveway or in the street in front of the house - not without actually stepping outside. This single camera, mounted on the front corner of the garage and angled to cover the front walk and the driveway addresses that shortcoming very neatly.
It installed very easily and in a fairly short time, although we do recommend that it be a two-person crew, since a ladder was involved. The only tool required to mount the bracket into a length of wood trim just under the eaves was a power-drill and a hammer. The daytime picture offered is of very good quality, and we were pleasantly surprised that it was in color. The camera being relatively small, though, if there is a wide space to be kept under surveillance, multiple cameras would be required.

Works like a charm
Everything came packaged nicely and the instructions were very well laid out and easy to understand. I had no trouble whatsoever connecting the power cords to both the camera and wireless receiver, and the video cable from the receiver to the RCA video input jack of my television. I used the supplied BNC-to-RCA adapter jack.
I haven't decided where to place the camera yet so I didn't mount it but connected it to its stand then placed it freestanding on the ledge behind our front window in the living room, looking out to the porch and across the street. The video is better than I expected. I was expecting something rather fuzzy and choppy, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well detailed it is, with accurate colors and it also picks up movement well. Naturally it is not as good as watching a television or DVD picture but for monitoring purposes it is just fine. I don't see the need for any higher resolution.
The television is about 40 feet from the camera. Not a direct line-of-sight but there are open doorways between the two devices. The signal strength meter showed a strong connection.
Cons: The only real cons I can list are (1) cable management (just more cords to have to organize, but they are thin and easy to manage) and the placement limitation that comes from the length of the cords. I would say for most applications the supplied cords are sufficient, however.
The build quality of the camera is good. Everything works like it is supposed to, it is easy to install and set up and I get a nice, clear picture so I am happy with this product.

Wonderfully Designed
I wasn't sure what I was expecting when I received this camera in the mail, but I do have to say that installation was so easy I was sure that I must be doing it wrong. This is not one of those products that is difficult to put together or has extraneous parts and pieces. Everything fit together perfectly and getting it set up completely took less than 30 minutes.
We hooked ours up so that we can view our front door area. We plugged the receiver into the back of the bedroom TV, so all we have to do to check out the front porch is to change the channel of the TV. Also, the night vision is excellent.
If we ever have a need to change which TV we would like to view the camera on, all we have to do is to unplug the receiver and move it to the next TV.
I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a security camera for their home or office.

A good camera
The camera is up and working outside. The distance from the camera & DVR/receiver is about 40ft and I have a good strong signal thru several walls. It works as advertised and am quite satisfied with it. If I need another camera I will definitely keep this one in mind.

A Great Camera
This camera is very clear and is very easy to set up. You do not have to go through any complicated procedure to set up a channel between the camera and the receiver, it does it automatically without interfering with the other cameras. It is a very good choice.

Great wireless system
I use this wireless system for home, love the fact you can simply look at the Cameras thru the web! I have a four camera system now and plan on buying four more wireless cameras to a total of 8-Cameras. Great night vision too.
I give this system an AAA++++.
Thanks Lorex. :-)

Good camera
I have been using these cameras for almost a year monitoring a remote location. They work fine unless you mount them too far away from the DVR. Then they disconnect and often won't reconnect. In my case, the range seems to be about 50 feet or less if there are a lot of walls between the camera and the DVR. Of course, you also need to be able to run a 12V power supply to the cameras.
For distant placements, I'm switching to wired Lorex cameras.

I was able to rely on an excellent sales/technical team at Lorex and get the system that fit my needs. Product, price, and service (then and now) could you really ask for more?

COOL!
Bought on a whim. Looking for night critters in my yard. Ran camera on 3cell Lithium Poly battery-12.2V. Walked around the yard and RF signal seemed weak. IR range is great. Planning to set up a DVD recording trigger (using X10 sensor). May need to keep receiver closer than I planned.

Good camera
My best camera out of four different types. Great IR range, a little too bright at night for indoor use, but easily remedied by covering some of the LEDs. Plan to buy another or two.
