Pros: we feel safer having cameras. "I use this devise in my home as well as in my office. I like the fact that it has night vision and the fact that I can see both locations on my galaxy s lll phone. I have called tech supportand had a very positive experience. I am not savy about hooking up these types of things and they helped me." |

very easy to install, and easy to use. warranty is fantastic. others just need to take necessary steps before complaining about not being able to set it up properly....You need to ensure you have the proper type of router, or just go spend the additional $50 to get the right router with port forwarding. |

This purchase was in addition to 4 other lorex video security cameras I was using. Adding these 4 was a snap and since I had pre-selected the areas I needed these cameras in, installation was fast. Remember that even thought the cameras are wireless, you do need ac power to power the cameras.....I would highly recommend. |

The wireless is great and easy camera set up, but hard to set up network. On the screen the images of people coming and going out of our barn day or night is crisp and clear, you can tell exactly who it is even in the dark but difficult to view recordings due to difficult network set up. |

I was impressed with the system right out of the box. Everything was there that I needed including some adapters I didn't need but might in the future I suppose. I set everything up indoors at first to ensure all the parts worked...which they did. I then positioned one camera at a time and got it to working in its permanent position making sure the signal strength was good. The distance or reach of the wireless cameras is better than I expected and worked fine where I had first planned to put them. The software on the CD was then loaded on my PC. Port forwarding was made very simple as Lorex includes a program that interfaces with most routers. All you need to do is tell it what ports and DHCP address you want linked and it does the rest. Within minutes I was viewing the camera(s) via my PC through the LAN. |
