I sent in my old DVR in for repair and it couldnít be repaired so I purchased this one. It was simple to install right out of the box, very simple instructions and didnít need to dig into the CD that came with it. It works very well with no issues.
Great Product!!

Easy installation and easy setup.
After I finish to install, I am very happy I may monitor it by my cell phone now.
Great image to look, but hope if you have enough budget, I suggest to buy 1080P series.

Great product at a reasonable price. Easy set up. Allows me to remotely review my live cameras or review recorded content, even from my smartphone. Technical support is very helpful for any problems or questions you may have. I'd recommend this system in a heartbeat.

I am unable to to complete the set up due to missing parts. Contacting customer support is horrible just to have the missing part replaced

I bought this Lorex DVR to monitor my home in SC. Hooked up the Wireless cameras, the monitor, downloaded the mobile app and the system was up and running without a hitch. I can now monitor the home inside and out from my phone & tablet! Great so far! Hoping that it is as reliable as it is easy to install. Great user friendly product.

Works great. I need help to get the video feed to my computer, phone and iPad but we got it going. The installation is hard wire so it took a subcontractor to install it.

I have not been able to get the website for remote access up and running even though Lorex shows it to be working.

I owned an Eco 2 system and upgraded to the Eco 4. Only thing I had to do was swap the DVR and the cameras and used the old BNC cables. So far, it's a lot clearer than the Eco 2, and the Digital Noise at night is non existent. Better night vision. Only problem I experienced was a broken camera when I opened the box. Had to call Tech Support for setting up email motion notification which became more complicated due to issues with servers. Overall, customer service has gotten better.

The produce works great and connectivity is very easy with the device ID compare to prior versions. Remember to wait 10 to 30 minute for the device ID to register on the Lorex servers otherwise it can be frustrating to connect. Also this is not an HD system so don't expect ultra clear images. Lastly, if you need support they are very helpful if you call in; the online tickets do not seem to be worked very fast. Lastly I had to use browser compatibility mode to view the cameras without the client app.

We bought the unit over a year ago. Installed in about 3 months later. I like having the system as 8 cameras cover almost all angles of my house. The night settings are nice and the ability to make some areas private...aka camera blocks those areas out. Motion sensing seems to work pretty well and is able to made to cover a custom area. (You can eliminate the sensing of cars as they go by in the street.
I do not have the system wired to the internet. I will at some point but just no time yet. I have had some issues with recording and searching that I have to contact the company about. I plan on installing a solid state hard drive to ensure the longevity of the recording system. All in all I would buy it again. But since this model has been updated at my local Costco i would definitely go with that newer model.

I was amazed how easy the product was to hook up. It was right out of the box ready.
Just remember that when you install in the summer in the attic, it's about 120 plus degrees up there.
After the install was completed and everything was checked and rechecked, I started the program and set the cameras up as I wanted them.
There's a little red light that was flashing all the time, driving everyone crazy. Solved that with a piece of black electrical tape.
The system worked great for one week and then the DVR died completely, Sent it back only to wait two weeks for a replacement. I'm not sure why they couldn't have just sent me a replacement and have me mail back the broken one..
That was in July 2014, here it is December 2014 and the DVR has died again. I'm starting to lose confidence in their product at this point. I had just ordered a new camera to added to my system and here I'm waiting again for a new DVR. Hands are tied at this point. The DVR is turning on and off every 15 minutes.
The sad part of all this, we had someone pound on our door at 11 pm at night and the DVR was not seeing the camera and had stopped recording and shut down and reset, that would have allowed us to see who it was.
The tech support was great, they pointed me in the right direction to get what I needed.
The cameras work really great in the daytime, and if you have motion sensor lights they can really see better at night time.
I really wanted cameras with sound, and settled for video only. I have sent them an email about adding a microphone to the side of one of my cameras and have yet to hear if this will work or not.
Do your homework when comparing products.

The DVR worked great until one day the HDD stopped starting. They promised to send a replacement as it is within the warranty. I submitted the proof of purchase and waiting for their instructions.

Our system has worked just as advertised. The cameras can be monitored by TV, computer, & by mobile devise. Would like a little better night view but it is acceptable.

Well, I got my security system from Home Depot a couple of months ago, and just actually had it installed, and the picture comes up, but I can't get the mouse to work with the computer, and it has an Ethernet connection..it just isn't responding other than the good pictures I get with the hdmi..... plus the remote worked all of twice, and I looked at the inside and its all wonky... so it's a really cheap remote.... otherwise I like the picture... I just can't access the dvr to check the video history... not good........so far I will rate it a 2 until I get together with support and see if they can do anything....
