Q: Why is video from the camera tinted purple?

A: High-end cameras use mechanical IR cut filters to block certain types of light that can adversely affect image quality. The Little Link does not use an IR cut filter, and therefore, the camera image may have a slight purple color in environments with incandescent or natural lighting (see example images below):

NOTE: The intensity of the purple color in the camera image may vary depending on the amount of incandescent or natural light in the environment. Consider moving the camera to an area with fluorescent lighting to reduce the intensity of the purple color, and ensure the camera is not pointed toward a window.

Q: I received an extra mounting plate with my baby monitor. Why?

A: The Little Link comes with a mounting plate already attached to the camera base, and there is an extra one included in the package. There are two options for how you use the mounting plates. The first option is to use one of the plates for wall-mounting and the second for placement on a flat surface. The rubber pads attached to the mounting plate provide stability when the camera is not fastened to a surface.

The second option is to mount both plates to the wall, giving you the flexibility to switch the camera between the two mounting locations (mounting screws / drywall anchors for a second mounting position not included).

Mount the camera in 2 separate locations

To wall-mount the camera:

  1. Hold the mounting plate against the wall where you would like to mount the camera.

  2. Use a pencil to mark holes for the mounting screws.

NOTE: The product only includes one set of cable clips. Ensure that the cable is at least 3ft / 1m away from cradles and cribs and safely out of reach of your child. This is important even if your child is not yet mobile.

Q: Why is there a delay when I use two-way audio?

A: You may experience a delay of up to 5 seconds before audio captured by your smartphone or tablet reaches the speaker on the camera. This is due to wireless signal congestion.
