Relevant models / series: LNB2151, LNB2153
A: Yes, the camera housing is fully weatherproof (IP66 rated). However, the Ethernet connector is not weatherproof. If water enters the Ethernet connector while the camera is operating, it can damage the camera.
|Make sure the Ethernet connection is protected from water|
If installing the camera outdoors, the Ethernet cable should be protected inside a wall or box. The camera features a cable-passthrough bracket, so the cables can be completely concealed inside the wall. If the connector cannot be concealed, you can protect the connection by wrapping it with tape.
A: We have designed a new bullet camera that has the same specifications and functionality as LNB2151. The differences between the two cameras are purely cosmetic. The following table shows the difference in appearance between the original camera design (LBN2151) and the redesigned camera (LBN2153).
A: Some versions of LNB2153 have an Ethernet port that looks different from the one shown in the user guide. See the figure below for a comparison of the two Ethernet ports. Even though there is a thread on connector ("Version 2" below), there is no extra component that needs to be attached to it. The two versions provide the exact same functionality.
