My mode is a Black Box vers 2 however under the INFO tab on the DOS like screen on the VGA out monitor it states it is model LHO26000 When I do a search for the exact model nothing returns under your support question.
It appears you may have some new firmware and or Client software for the Black Box series. ( As shown in an ad on the right of the ECO Blackbox listing).
If their is recent firmware and or client software I'd love to upgrade.
Great System!.....Easy To Install...I Am slightly Disappointed In The Picture Quality....Love The snapshot/Email FeaturE, However Still Trying TO Work Out The Kinks....Very Happy With Lorex.

Set up was quite simple. All parts are included to get up and running. The GUI is the standard and easy to understand and change. We also set up our system for remote viewing with our mobile devices and they work for the most part (some features on the app we have yet to find out how to make them work) We have not used support, we will once we actually use them.
Cons : Camera picture quality are not like it is pictured, we even added cameras with 600TVL and the quality was not much better, although clear enough to see whats going on. The night view is better then we expected and worth it.
Pros : Easy to set up. All parts needed are included. System works (even remote viewing)

This Lorex system is very nice security system to own. The cameras are great with excellent night vision. I had a small problem with internet viewing but the amazing technical support team helped me out fully. I would highly recommend this product for anybody looking to secure their home or business.

Wow ? what an excellent security system ? 8 cameras on a 16-port DVR recorder.
The Lorex DVD Recorder is a model LH120 Eco+ (referred to as LH12600) ? with a 500GB Disk providing continuous, motion only or Alarm only recording ? color by day and black and white by night. The SATA Disk capacity can be increased to 2GB. The password(s) on the DVD Recorder are initially left blank. This is fully explained in the manual that is provided with the system.
The Cameras are MC7662 600TVL Super+ Resolution, weatherproof with Night Vision 3.6mm wide-angle lens with 78% field of view. Camera mount brackets allow for positioning the camera to face any way in 180 degrees and can operate -22 degrees to 122 degrees.
Lorex provides a CD designed to automatically perform the ?Port forwarding? task for you on your computer that is connected to your Router. If your Router is not found in the selection list ? don?t go any further ? you will need to ?Manually? forward Ports 80, 1025, and 9000. I called Lorex Technical and in a matter of minutes the technician did the Port Forwarding for me.
Setting up the free DDNS with Lorex is a snap. The DDNS will allow you to view your cameras from anywhere in the world. The hardest part was thinking of a ?name? that is non-descriptive of your name or location. Be sure to use a ?-? (dash) as opposed to a ?:? (Colon) when entering the DVR MAC address when registering for the DDNS.
Lorex provides numerous Video?s and instructions about Port Forwarding, Registration, and DDNS registration on their web-site.
If you install this system yourself ? there are a few items that will simplify your task. First, do a site survey of your location. Draw out your dwelling(s) and draw where each camera will be installed. Second, measure the distance to each location ? most likely you will need additional cable extensions. Check the ?Accessories? option (bottom of the Lorex web page) for additional cable options. Third, survey how you will route the Video/Power cables (be sure route the ?male? end of the Power connector towards the cameras location so it will plug into the ?female? end of the camera). If you purchase additional lengths of Video/Power cables, be sure to review what is included ? you will need ?barrel? connections to extend any Video portion of the cable).
I found that using a ?J? channel (the kind used with house siding) is the easiest way to route the Lorex cable ? providing you have a vinyl siding. The Lorex cable fits nicely in the molded side of the J-channel and the ?nail? side will fit securely on any existing siding channel. Be sure to ?drill? your vinyl siding before screwing in the camera mounts - (otherwise you may split the siding). Lorex is always available ? and has excellent Technicians to assist you with any complexities you may have with your Lorex system.

I am very pleased with Lorex products, the recently purchased system is a back up for my Present system, that is over 2 years old and still working, so this system will not be put into service until it is needed or the old system becomes obsolete.
Do you have cameras that zoom, and if so what is the cost and would they work with my systems?
In the past when i have had technical problems, the people that we have to talk to are very difficult to understand, they do not speak English very well and they talk to fast. Even the level two technicians. I'm a Senior citizen and sometimes it is difficult to understand people when they don't speak clearly or too fast.
We would like to see more of an assortment of your products in stores like Costco, where we could get a hands on view of your product before we purchase it.
Otherwise we are very satisfied with your product. And we have recommended it to several other people.

I have colleagues, friends and relatives that purchased this system in the past and I was astonished at the dollar value vs. the product quality. It's a great system and I would recommend it.

I am happy to recommend Lorex for more than a few reasons. To begin, I did have a problem with my original DVR, but with a few emails and a phone conversation, Lorex quickly replaced it at no cost to me. Perhaps more importantly, the act of putting my cameras on the internet was the easiest I ever experienced because of the software provided and the extremely easy directions to create my external IP address. I have been using cameras since 2000 and this was my best experience. BTW I don't always use my cameras for security. Having owned a restaurant and coffee shop, I installed cameras on a another building and my customers could sit in the coffee shop and see the buses coming from 7 blocks away rather than having 7 seconds from when the bus turned the corner. Additionally I now have a consignment shop and I will be using these cameras to display my products for sale, changing them on a daily basis. In both cases I allow the neighbors/customers to see the IP address so they can either see the buses coming or what I have to sell in my shop

Customer service is sometimes slow, but the cameras are a great value and work well. The PTZ camera is very good.

I needed a system that wasn't to costly and I found these at Costco. They are very easy to mount and to get set up on your computer. The only problem I had was getting it set upon my smartphone. It took two calls to their help line but everything is up and running .Yes I would do it again.

Caught a burglar the first month!
I bought my Lorex system and had it professionally installed. My installer had a very difficult time communicating with Lorex Tech Support to get the ports open in my wireless system so I could view my security cameras from remote locations. He spent many, many, many hours on hold and this should be improved. Just a few weeks after I installed my system, my home was burglarized. As soon as I realized several power tools were missing, I reviewed my DVR recordings and within about an hour, I saw the burglar! The cameras captured him driving into my property, parking, walking into my home, loading my belongings into his car and driving away. I recognized the criminal as someone who had done work at my home 8 months before. Within 4 hours I was able to get a positive ID from his employer, and learned the burglar's name, address, phone number, social security number and birthday, which I was able to turn over to the police. But the best part was handing a thumb drive to the detective, with the entire crime on video. She then had probable cause to arrest the burglar and search his home for my belongings, and those he had stolen from other people. It was so satisfying to actually solve a crime! Without my security cameras, I would have been left wondering who had violated my home, and my feeling of safety would have been destroyed.
A much needed product 40974680
After several break ins in my area of the city i purchased this video security system. It was easily installed, exceptional picture clarity, and adds a new sense of safety for not only myself but for my neighbors. I not only cover my own property but as an added value i am able to see 5 other front yards across the street and next door. I am very pleased with the purchase of the 8 camera ECO2 system.

Out standing reolution and color
One of the best investments of my life. Easy installation and set up. The resolution and color are outstanding and the remote access through my I phone is unbelievable, even when I zoom in. This for sure is a 5 star rated product and I would reccomend iit for any household or business, as I have two systems in both places.
Great system, loads of features at a reasonable price. Love that the camera wires are not exposed and at risk of tampering. Best system we found for our needs.

Simple set up...one camera came with a problem but customer service shipped out a new one right away. Mine came with 4 wireless cameras as well they are great to use in places where running cables is an issue. Overall I have been satisfied with the product, customer service wait times can be long, but they do eventually take care of you

Great Product, I love IT!
This is a great product. Economical and easy to use. Highly recommended to small business owners who wants the ability to watch their business from anywhere in the world. I can also hear with this system! It's saved me ten-fold in from reduced theft!
Great system, good features
Overall this system has been great. The cameras look nice and professional. The quality of sound and video is great. Overall the system is intuitive, though we did have one issue but tech support was able to fix it (after several long holds). Though when its all said and done its a great system that has lots of features. I plan on expanding the system and adding another hard drive and cameras! The mobile app is another great feature that I enjoy.

Lorex ECO security camera system
Fairly easy to install - good product for the $$. I would recommend this to any small business owner. Getting it set up on the internet is not that simple - I am still trying to master this.

Works as described
It is a good product. I would prefer that the files be created in a format that I can map to and copy.
I have been impressed with this system. It came with everything I needed to install it. I don't really use it for security as much as an easy way to see who is at the door or when visitors arrive (in my house you can't see the driveway or front porch from the living areas). There are several things to know before buying it.
1. you have to run wires from the DVR to each camera. Make sure you have a way to get them from one location to another (attic, basement, etc). This was the most challenging part of installing it.
2. It takes a while to find the right adjustment for motion detection/recording. I had a hard time finding a balance where it didn't record constantly, but would record when someone walked by. Read the manual...
3. It takes some knowledge to get it set up to allow you to access it via the internet. If you google "port forwarding" and don't undersand anything you read, then get a geek friend to help.
4. I saw lots of frustration on the message boards about getting it to work with smart phones. Many people get an invalid login message. You have to go to the settings on your DVR and set up both a regular login (which works from the DVR and from your laptop) and a separate login for your smartphone. I don't think they ever figured out to do the second part. Again, read the manual.
5. The picture is not really high def. It is what you would expect when you put 4 pictures on a 13inch screen. I have no complaints about the picture quality. If you want really high resolution/detail you will need to spend lots more money.
6. The night vision is pretty cool. It is not perfect, but you can see well.
If I think of more I'll update later. In general this is a good basic system that is reasonably easy to install and set up if you are good with both computers and home repair/maintenance.
