Runs great. Easy to use. Image is good as well.
But the Software SUCKS!
There is no need to make it as hard as it is.
There is also no need to port forward if it only sent a signal direct to the CPU.
That could be via FireWire, or a USB Dongle.
THEN using remote software you could access the image EVERYWHERE!

this is a great product. It works really well, super dependable, and never goes down. This is our 3rd system purchased for our facility and we have a 4th going in next month. Skip all of the other brands and save a headache from trying to install them. LoRex is the way to go. My brother-in-law installs security systems for a living and only Installs Lore systems after trying to use other brands.

OVERALL, THIS SYSTEM WORKS WELL AND THIS IS MY SECOND SYSTEM THAT I HAVE PURCHASE FROM LOREX. THE FIRST ONE HAS BEEN WORKING GREAT SO FAR. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GOOD BUT A LITTLE HARD TO GET THROUGH TO AT TIMES.
I bought this to replace an older PVR that does not have mobile client support. I have tried clients for the Ipad and the Amdroid platform. Configured with both local and remote IP address. However, I was not able to switch between local and remote using the mobile app. The PC client works much better than the IE plug-in. The plug-in does not with the 64bit IE browser. I only use 4 channels but not able to configure the channels to record in HD1 mode as the unused channels take up 4 frames. May contact support to see if there are solutions for the problems I run into. Overall, I found the PVR fairly easy to configure and very quiet. The DDNS support appear to be very reliable and easy to setup. Have not tested email support but appear to be very easy to setup. No need to know the email server info if the Lorex server is used.
Relatively easy to program with mouse and interface. Coming from a past Q-see user some of the same options but more choices. Have not set up DDNS as of yet as I am waiting for confirmation for DDNS sign up. I have port forwarded port 8000 and used my external IP address to excess the cameras on the web for now and can view until provider changes the IP address without travelling 2 hours and checking what the new IP new address will be. Already had cameras mounted so process was easy to swap old DVR--Great product !!

Enjoying my security system. So far no problems. Haven't needed tech support. Everything working just fine. Must be a good product.
I think the lorex security system is an excellent product- I purchased 16 cameras & they all work great- I love the PTZ- the customer service is awesome- the IT techs are friendly & know their product- AI do wish the wait wasnt quite so long but worth it as they answer all my questions- I would & have highly recommended the lorex system to my friends
The system seems to work as advertised. The instruction are detailed and finding about a specific aspect of the operation is available in the table of contents (no index). There is no buzzer for motion notification, on a beeping noise. easy enough o hook up
Purchased system for exterior surveillance and have had only one problem with a wireless receiver to this point. Easy to install and on screen picture is fantastic. Customer service over the phone is a little slow, but ok once you get through.

I own a auto repair shop and had a problem with people stealing scrap metal after hours I got the 8 cam system and have 2 on each exterior wall & it seems to have stopped the problem. now people walk by and are looking up and seeing the cams. That alone is a huge deterrant. But I do need to add a spotlight out back as an night the cam wont reach 60 feet, daytime its great. We had another issue where the Sheriff recenized a car in our lot, and came and asked to see the video of who was driving and commented how good the video was. Love it I do wish for a computer challenged person like me it was a little simpler to hook up on line.

Overall, it is a well designed system at the right price. The manual is well written and easy to read. It is fairly easy to setup the system and remote access via PC or Cell phone. The resolution of the camera is good and the viewing angle is wide enough that the system covers the whole house with very little dead spot. I'd suggest to label both ends of the extension cable with signs like 'To VCR' and 'To Camera' cause it is so easy for people to overlook that there is a direction when laying out the cables.

I purchased the LH130 Eco 2 I did have problems with the DVR and one camera having issue with night vision but with a few phone calls and emails, Lorex replaced the DVR and the camera within a 2 weeks period. I feel that the the motion sensor recording is very sensitive. Recording and vision quality are very good during day but not as good as expected at night. Customer service and support very good..
