When you open Lorex Client 13, you will have to log in using your recorder credentials before accessing the system.
Note
The procedure below requires you to have specific information on hand, such as the Device ID and Client Port for your recorder.
You can find this information by clicking
on the recorder’s Taskbar.
To connect to your security system using Lorex Client 13:
Enter the recorder’s Device ID.
Enter the recorder’s Client Port.
Enter the User Name for the account you wish to log in using (default: admin).
Enter the Password for the account you wish to log in using (default: 00000000).
Note
The default password will only work if you are accessing the recorder for the first time using Lorex Client 13. If you completed the setup wizard on the recorder, you will have already created a new, secure password, which should be
used to access the system.
Click Login.
If you are accessing the recorder for the first time using Lorex Client 13: You will be asked to enter a new password for the recorder. Enter the new 8-15 character password in the New Password and Confirm Password fields.
Note
Your new, secure password will be used to access your recorder locally as well as remotely using Lorex Client 13 or mobile applications.
Click OK to confirm. You may now view cameras and configure your recorder using Lorex Client 13.
