This product was exactly what I was looking for and the price was unbelievable. I purchased a 4 camera wireless system a couple years ago with a tablet display and sd storage before we moved into a much larger house. Needless to say we needed a more robust system and this fit all the needs. Also it actually cost less than the 4 camera wireless system. It was just as easy to setup for remote access via computer and mobile devices. I had zero issues getting everything configured, though I did have to run wires through the attic the video quality is far superior to the old system as well. I have already recommended this product to several of my family.

Purchased the 8 wired camera system . The setup instructions are surprisingly simple. No problem getting the app on iphone. Nice system , keeping in mind everything is hardwired, including the internet connection. Im a novice and everthing worked the first time.

I ordered this and was assured it was in stock and would be processed. I paid rush shipping to have delivered Saturday. Nope it hasn't even been processed by the warehouse 2.5 days later. Cancelled my order, and will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY LIKE THIS THAT PROBABLY ISN'T EVEN REAL. I waited on the phone for 1 hour 40 minutes the day before to see what was going on. Finally gave up and hung up. Imagine if you had a question on installation or a problem with your unit. DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME.

Ordered the summer special 8 cameras/ 8 channel DVR. When I recieved the box it was short 6 cameras. Called/ e-mailed Customer SVC they looked into the problem and sent the 6 cameras. BUT now my issue is with the DVR. LOOKS like its been used before dented mfg date on the bottom 2 yrs old and does not work when plugged in. Called CS 45 min wait was then switched to Tech Support waited another 45 mins. NO HELP.

Very good product for the price. Quality is top notch. Super fast and easy setup, including the app for remote viewing. Cameras are sharp and have strong IR for night vision. The hard drive in the dvr did have an issue, but tech support was friendly and addressed the issue quickly. Everything was packed well. Would not hesitate to order from Lorex again and again.

Received the product on time.
Installed the cameras to see the perimeter of my house and yard and record whenever there is motion.
Works as expected.
had a problem at first, but has been resolved by tech support.
only drawback is that when submitting a ticket, there was no reply until I wrote a negative review.
Thereafter tech support was very helpful to solve my pink color issue and everything is working fine now.
Would give 5 starts, but the no ticket reply makes it a 4 star.
Image quality is good day and night.

I set this system up in about an hour. Testing and getting used to the menus was simple and intuitive. Running the cables in the attic was the biggest challenge, but once completed the camera images are excellent, even at night. Recording activity around the house while away was easily set up. I like the smart search feature where the system identifies persons in the recorded data. Like the mobile app, too. Very nice system.

The product is good, but the customer service people ARE HORRIBLE!!!!.. Unable to answer questions about product, definitely not knowledgeable about anything unless they can read about it off a terminal screen. All they can do is read canned answers off a screen. I placed order on August 2nd. As of August 5 no confirmation of shipping. Called customer service and was told it would take 6 days to process order and would be delivered on August 8. As of August 7th its still in the warehouse. But it would be delivered on August 8th. No its not being shipped overnight. Typical of other inquiries.

First - I intended to use some good cameras of previous system (Swann Brand); but the Lorex DVR was not recognized them.
Second - I had to replace all of them with Lorex Brand cameras!
The system has been working fine with its same brand camera so far.
Third - 1 problem arises every night: the system popped up a recording window. I clicked OK or CANCEL, it disappeared; but reappeared again next day.
There is no instruction to tell how to fix it (!)

If I order a small metal black camera that matches my other cameras; then why do I open the box and find large plastic white cameras? This is not a slip up but an attempt to put the screws to a loyal customer.

love the cameras, love their instructions for the most part and their product. Not loving the cd with helpful software that mostly takes you to no man's land on their website were you search for what it promised to give you if you clicked on it. Not intuitive at all in that way. Then there is the fact that the auto-port forwarding software said it was successful more than 3 times. Yet, after HOURS and I do mean HOURS!!!! I finally decided to try logging into my router and changing it manually. Online in 15 minutes on the computer and tablet after that. Was great for 24 hours. Now it's down. I hope it's a function of lighting from a storm and can be fixed by restarting the router or something like that. I'd definitely choose lorex again, but I'd double check the results of auto-port forwarding manually.

I upgraded my system from a LH138000 8 channel to the L88 8 channel , because my old system cameras were failing and I wanted higher resolution. The L88 sytem came with CVC7731 cameras that have great resolution during the day light, at night they are not as good as my original MC7662 cameras. I had problems setting up viewing because the DVR needed updating, but was quickly resolved by the Lorex tech department. Lorex systems are easy to install. I highly recommend Lorex surveillance systems.

I have DVR Model D3308000 that came with 8 CVC7731 Security Cameras. Known as the L88 package. I have been using this setup for a little over a month now and everything is working good. Setup is pretty straight forward with the networking side. Have my ddns setup and everything works as it should. Downloaded the Digisummit app from Google play and installed on my tablets and smart phones which lets me view my system from remote locations. As far as the cameras they seem to have pretty decent picture quality. Although at night I have a few cameras that do not project clarity as the others. It seems they are getting to much IR bleed through as I see white rings. Will try to adjust the positions and see if that helps. The others have a pretty clear black and white picture. Daytime pictures are real good. This system has been running 24/7 without any hiccups. It does its job as it allows me to see what is going on while I am away. I think its a good bargain for the price I payed for this unit. The units menu is easy to navigate to get the settings to your likings. All in all I am satisfied with this unit. Like I said it gets the job done.

It is a easy installation but not as easy as the most newer systems. Remote play back works better for http with computers than cell phone or tablet. 1 thing I still cannot solve is that I am not able to set it up recording motion only without recording continuously which waste a lot of hard drive space.

We have received our Camera's and have hooked them up in the house so far the camera quality is good. There was some issue's with set up as the CD sent for installing software took us to a link on the website that was not valid. After finally getting ahold of customer service we were able to complete the set up. My advise if you buy these cameras to avoid frustration call customer service if you are having issues. overall so far happy

In my fourth year of owning this system...unfortunately on my 4th DVR ( went from 3 of the 338 series now to 158 series )...all 6 outdoor cameras and 1 indoor camera working flawlessly over this time....system is backed up with UPS so no power surge issues...worked with TS to resolve issues a few times....and wrote reviews to get extended warranties....the last one failed at just less than 2 years while still under they recently shipped out a free refurbished 1581001B with Stratus service....this was new to me but very far so good....upgrade from 338 other than it does not have an extended IR capability so strictly line of site which does not work for me ( have to use mouse )...there are other choices out there but came back due to Lorex supporting what they sell with no hassles....gave 4 stars...will give more when DVR works past 2 years....

I purchased this after I had a pay by the month system installed. It was a Wi-Fi system and nothing more than a baby monitor. We had people coming and stealing things right out of our yard and cars. I had bought a Lorex system a while back and knew they had great cameras but left it at our house when we sold it. I decided to purchase Lorex again and couldn't be happier with it. I'm using the Lorex EC04- 8 channel system now for less than 2- years NOW. No Issues with the system. Then approx. 1-1/2 years into this system the Hard Drive began recycling- basically the system BEGAN TO recycle on & off - non stop. I was hesitant to call due to "a potential run around with customer service". Not with Lorex- my call went quickly to a customer service person - then to technical assistance (FLIR). We quickly diagnosed the issue (Hard drive Failure) and had me call customer service again with a Return Number- authorizing a Hard Drive replacement. I did this... Today the system is operating the way it should. GREAT SERVICE FROM LOREX. ....VERSUS THEIR COMPETITORS WHO'VE regretfully used purchased product from. STAY WITH lOREX - great follow through and they stand behind there products!! LEE

I am still learning about the system and not using it with its full capacity. Copying takes little longer. Programming to record needs time - not instantaneous. Lately, "Log Search" doesnot back up. However, it serves the purpose for me. I will add more in time.

I purchased this product a little over a year ago at Costco. At first I was pleased with it but a couple of months after the warranty ran out my cameras started to fail. I now have 3 out of 8 cameras bad. They seem to work ok in the dark but during the day I have a purple haze that I can not get rid of. I did respond to an email they sent from Lorex stating that if I would fill out the first review they would extend my warranty an extra year so I did fill out the review and even got a response from Lorex thanking me for the review. Well when the first camera failed I called to get it replace thinking I had two years of warranty. I was told at tech support that they could not replace the cameras because the warranty was out and they knew nothing about extending the warranty and asked me to find a copy of their email and my email concerning the extended warranty. I will not buy Lorex again because of the faulty cameras and the poor customer service. This is the worst customer service I have ever had on any purchase that I had a problem with so close to the warranty ending which it should not have ended had they been honest about the extra year. Beware and read all the reviews before you purchase Lorex.

Received packaged with no shipping damage. Was easy to install and get operating. I have a iPhone 5 which was easy to get monitoring of cameras operating. I monitor on TV and laptop at home as well. A week after installing one of cameras failed. I called tech support and they were very helpful. A new camera was sent and I installed. Now all is working well.

I purchased the LH1896 8 cameras with DVR @ Costco in April 2014. Installation and DVR setup was really simple. Setting up my Samsung Galaxy phone for remote viewing was really simple too. So far I've had no problems with the DVR but I've had issues with 3 cameras. Two of the cameras had problems with the screen color and the third would flicker at night causing the motion detection to go off all night. I have returned 1 camera so far under my warranty with no problem. It took about 7 days for me to get my replacement camera. The only thing I did not care for was having to pay shipping and handling fees. Most companies will send you your replacement first and then you can return your defective product in the same box with the return postage which is provided for you. Overall I am happy with my product and at least my cameras were still having issues while still under warranty.
