Easy to set up. I use this to see my baby while at work. The monitor must be connected to a WiFi LAN connection for you to view it on your iPhone. Too bad it's not really all wireless.

Super Simple to connect to monitor, router and smart phone. Pairing was a breeze. Motion alerts are immediately sent to your phone if set to On. App on IPhone or Android works flawlessly and the image quality is great. Have and will recommend to anyone who wants a wireless security system that is Super Simple. 5 Stars

Very happy with the product. Super easy to install and the box was delivered 2 days after the order. I wish the cameras were compatible with my older system. Only one thing to improve would be the respond time when getting a work ticket.

The cameras works great but the system I bought was discontinued but showed new on web site. I had to order another system with monitor. Customer service poor long wait times, never been able to get a hold of tech. Emails take 4 days atleast to get a response and trying to get them to answer you need 3-4 hours. My systems works good but customer must be completely overhauled. The CEO does not seem to care so I doubt anything will change!

The camera monitor is easy to manage. The quality during the day is excellent and during the night is decent. The only thing for which I am not completely satisfy is the phone application. At the beginning the videos were freezing all the time to the point of not able to see anything, but lately for some reason is getting better and the videos are playing almost fine although it could be improved more. Overall, it is a good system to those that are not looking for a fancy system. This one will give all necessary tools to feel safer at home or work.

After having a few problems with my cameras and not getting much response from Lorex on their end, then finally came through in the end. I have found the best way to deal with warranty issues is through email. Once I figured this out my problem was resolved in a matter of days compared to 6 weeks and hours on hold via telephone
I recommend if you have a problem email rather than call.
As far as the product goes, I believe my cameras and DVR are of the best quality and would surely recommend them to others. Plenty of features and for the most part reliable.
I would give this rating a 5.0 if it was not for the poor customer service over the phone. Otherwise I am happy.

My cameras go on and off line, they are offline now, so i have to reconnect them oftem. How does this protect me while i am gone and their pairing fails? It is frustrating and I have no idea why once paired they would ever unpair, although it says they are out of range, when the have not moved from the places all components were when tbey were first paired. I would like to buy additional cameras, but am not sure it is now a good investment.

First I must say I am fairly happy with the system, besides it breaking twice in 6 months.
I would recommend buying this product only if you are VERY confident that it will not break. Because when it does, wow good luck getting warranty replacement.
I am still waiting for o"Approval" to ship my receiver that has broken over a month ago. I followed all their steps, called customer service, went through the troubleshooting and they verified that my receiver is defective. A month later and over 5 hours on hold in total, (no lie) I still can't get an answer on when they will ship my defective part.
They simply do not answer the phone. If you are lucky enough to get a hold of someone, they give you the run around and never comit to anything.

I was told by a friend who owns the same system to do the following.
Order a receiver, pay for it on your Credit card, then when it arrives call your credit card company and decline to pay for it. Explain to the credit card company what happened and that they are not standing behind their warranty and you will not have to pay for it.
I hate to do this but I may try. They have wasted enough of my time, it is now time for them to waste their time fighting my credit card company.

Before you purchase, do not only look at the quality of these cameras, but look into the customer service. What good is a product if it breaks, you buy the extended warranty and they do not honor it.

Good luck.

Thank you for your feedback. Our sincere apologies for the wait. We hope your replacement is working well.

I bought this system due to price. It was very easy to install. I have had 2 issues in the 1 year I have had the product. The screen monitor failed to record about 6 months in. I found out when there was an issue at our home and the police wanted the chip and we discovered it did not record. The second problem was when one of the cameras stopped recording. Customer service was excellent for the screen monitor. I am still waiting for the replacement camera. I was told it would take 10--14 business days after 2 follow ups and will be about 3 weeks from when I first notified Lorex - I find this to be too long. As we are away at times, access on the iphone is the greatest feature.

This must be close to my best purchase ever. The price was good, the shipping free and fast, the set-up as easy as finding a mounting spot and a power outlet. Once the system is powered up it just starts working.
I played around with the controls, everything is intuitive. The link to mobile devices is just as easy.
This is a well engineered mature product.

I bought this camera because I was tired of folks appearing on my porch with no warning. This was very easy to install, and the options are perfect for what I want. I wasn't looking for a sophisticated system, just an easy one that would let me know people were approaching my house. I love the phone app, I get notifications at work when there is activity out front. I do get notifications when the wind blows as well, but for the price, I can deal with that.

Overall I am very pleased with this product, and would recommend it to others looking for a simple way to keep and eye on things, as well as provide a deterrent to folks who don't have a need to be on my property.

We have two systems a Swann HD with 4 cameras which we bought from Fry's Electronics. Great picture and totally useless for notification. Each of the 4 cameras "triggers" every 30 sec even when there is no movement. This problem was solved by the Lorex system. We have only had a couple of false alarms since we installed it. It has met all of our needs. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable system that will notify you when there is movement at your location.

I've had the LW2701 for about three weeks now and am very happy with it. The picture quality is good and the intercom works well. I've been looking for a security camera for my front door for awhile and this one has everything I've been looking for: a wireless monitor (which makes it easy to move with me around the house), intercom, motion activated recording, and smart phone access if I want it. Also, I thought the price was very good.

We are very impressed with this system. The set up was quite easy, and the picture is Great. Good color, and detail. The night picture is good as well. The only thing I do not care for is how small the monitor is. 7 INCH Can not be seen across the room so I have to keep walking over to the unit to see. I want to hook into a 19 inch Flat screen TV that I am not using if I can figure how to do it. I highly recommend this system...also good picture on my cell phone!

We had an older Lorex monitoring system for an untold number of years, until the screen FINALLY went out. We purchased the LW2751, which is just an updated version of our older system. We are extremely happy with the quality and product, especially for low price. The system is astonishingly easy to use and set up.

I bought this camera through the Lorex site on sale for under a $100!! I found this to be a phenomenal value! I received the camera, monitor and the included SD card. It was very easy to set up and has worked perfectly since day one. The sound is great, very clear and loud...and to be able to speak from the monitor to the camera is awesome!! The motion detection and live scan options are very nice as well! None of this is hooked up to my home internet, I wanted a stand alone unit and this one is great. The SD card option with motion detection recording is all you need. You can even playback and delete files straight from the monitor.

Thank you Lorex for a great camera set up for a great price!

Was impressed with performance and ease of setup. For the price it's well worth it. The set up was easy just mount plug in and good to go. The app for iOS was also easy to set up and sometimes freezes and needs to be refreshed but it's not a high dollar security system so it's tolerable. I would recommend it to someone who looking to keep an eye on they're home.

Wireless refers to the signal transmission. You will need 120vac power to both the camera and DVR/monitor. I planned where I wanted to mount both units and then checked frame of view, reception and signal quality before committing to permanent mounting. LW2751 produces a great picture. The Quick Start Guide and manual are easy to follow.

The camera was defective when I receive it. But a replacement was sent to me within a week.
The set up was quite easy. But for monitoring on the tablet or phone, it has to be wired to the router. If it can be via wifi, it would be better.
As the battery can only last for few hours, I have to connect it to the AC power all the time. If it has a larger battery and last for a whole day, it would be more convenient.
The motion detector is sensitive to changes of sunlight. Even I set the sensitivity to low, there are still many false alarms.
Recently the recording function was not working properly. I thought there was something wrong with the monitor. But after I turned on/off the camera, it works properly again. If it was mentioned in the manual, it would save me a lot of time to resolve it.

Thank you for your feedback. Our technical support team would be happy to assist you with the motion detector settings. Please give us a call at 1-877-755-6739.

This is my first experience with an outside security camera and finally, "I got it right". The set-up was easy and I had a power source nearby (attached to the garage frame).

The reception is great and having the 2 way conversation mode (listen/talk) is something I didn't expect (great perk).

I connected it to my router and uploaded the software so both my wife and I receive notifications (interesting to see who is outside at 1AM)

I look forward to when/if Lorex creates a battery pack for these wireless devices.

I'll be adding more cameras to my system in the future!

I have had a lot of experience with Lorex wireless cameras. I find it impractical to lay wires to cameras and as such have been satisfied with this brand. I have noticed that each
generation model has improved range and not as prone to a signal that comes and goes as with earlier models. I have been frustrated when trying to "add" to my system when displays have minor changes to controls and change from SD card to micro SD card etc. from year to year. I have not found a better wireless alternative for the price.

We picked up this little combo as a baby monitor since we haven't been happy with the few baby monitors we've tried. I have an 4 camera/NVR system by FLIR, which is their commercial arm. I own Foscam , Trendnet & HooToo IP cameras but none of these have stability over IP streaming. I was looking for a good wireless IP camera that can be viewed over monitor or smartphone for entrance door alerts. All others cameras even being wireless were unable to lock wireless signal & always failed to stream over IP or through smartphone app. Lorex LW2751 even is not HD camera but best feature is that it streams over radio signals rather than wireless or wired IP. I have tested this camera for 3 weeks & have not fallen my expectations.
I will recommend this camera to all if looking for stable streaming. Night vision is also good. I am using SD pro app to view camera remotely on my iphone even though does not have good rating but is very stable for me so far. Setup is plug & play. I am very happy with this camera.

I got this system a little over a year ago. I had to call customer service because the battery was swollen and it wouldn't record at night. The customer service sent me to tech. I then had to repeat everything all over again. They had my name wrong and my product number wrong. He didn't speak English hardly at all. He didn't know the product he was just reading from a guide. I was very upset with all of this. They then sent me over to customer service again. They told me I had two choices I could buy a whole new system or I could have the battery replaced. I laughed at the new system. I wouldn't buy anything from this company again. They sent me the battery. It was the wrong one. I called them back told them it was the wrong one. They said someone would call me back in 24 to 48 hours or send me an email. Guess what no call and no email. I am so angry right now. I am telling anyone who wants to buy a product from this company don't. They don't care about the customer or stand behind their products. When a tech guy from there company tells you this is a fault of the product not yours you would think the company would take care of it. Nope not Lorex. If I could give less than one star I would.

Thank you for your feedback. Our apologies for any difficulty or inconvenience you may have experienced. We are happy to have resolved this for you.

Very easy set up, I have a different series set of Lorex wireless cameras that do not interfere with one another so that was nice. The draw back to the system is the monitor cannot be wall mounted so you need counter space somewhere to use it. A wall mount would give you across the room viewing. For that it gets 4 stars.

Easy to install. Up and running in minutes.Video is in HD quality. I would give it a 5 star if not for some minor drawbacks. Disconnect to the router once in a while. iphone app needs some improvement( it freezes while accessing recorded event). Extra camera is a little pricey. But it does it's job. Waiting for the winter to see how the camera function in freezing temperatures. I will recommend to this product.

I purchased this product a couple years ago and it has worked ok until recently. I added 2 more cameras about a year ago and have never been able to get the 2 year old date stamp off of them, despite multiple attempts with tech support (they did not help at all). Recently the battery in the monitor has become so swollen that it was busting through the cover. I finally had to unplug it and take it out. The audio rarely works, the recording is spotty and will not record for days at a time. It will no longer playback and when I do try to view video it freezes the system and I have to turn it off then back on to get out of the frozen picture.

This system is just ok for short term use, but if you are looking for a long term security camera system, spend more money and go with a better product. I am already needing a replacement monitor that will pair up with the SD Pro cameras that I had professionally installed. I don't want to have to replace the cameras after all that work.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you were having difficulty. Our technical support team was happy to assist you with this.

I am completely satisfied with this product. It was very easy to install and the features are beyond my expectations - i.e., picture quality (& crispness), sound, ease of use. I had no trouble at all installing the Lorex SD Pro app for my android also. Although the unit I purchased included one camera, I like the fact that I can expand my system with additional cameras. Well worth the money.

Recently purchased this camera. The power cord that comes with the camera is only 6 feet long. The power cord also does not appear to be safe for 'in-wall' use to run through a wall or attic space. Not all power cords are safe to run through walls as it my be a fire hazard. When you contact customer service the wait time is greater than 10 minutes and you are given an option to leave your number for a return phone call. I have left 3 messages over the course of 1.5 weeks for customer service and have yet to receive a phone call. I then created a ticket on the website inquiring as to the availability of a longer power cord and whether the supplied power cord was safe for 'in-wall' use. The response that the Lorex provided to the ticket was to send me a photo and link to the original power cord that came with my camera and did not answer any of the questions. It amazes me how bad this company treats customers.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the delay with your ticket. This cable will give you an additional 6 feet,

The power supply puts out 9V DC 600mA ±5%. It is designed for internal use only and is not fire rated in in-wall use. Our suggestion would be to get a licensed electrician to run a power line to the point where you want the camera installed.

Terrible product. I have had 3 and all have failed. Customer service sucks. I am on hold now for the 3rd time. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor but was sent nowhere. The rep wanted to sell me a unit with 2 cameras when I only needed 1. Picture freezes which I see other people had the same problem. IR pic at night is worthless. Sometimes the unit does not pick up cars driving by 20 feet away. I would not recommend this model or the customer service. There is a call back feature on the customer service line but no one calls back.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the difficulty you have experienced and hope your replacement monitor is working well for you.

Very easy to install in house. Simple directions. Very good quality camera image. I love that it notifies you when someone gets close to that area by a ringing noise which you can put on mute or increase the volume. Great price. I love the screen it comes with so that I can see who is there and that you can record all day and go back and view the recordings on the monitor it comes with. When I did experience problems with it, I found out it is because of the SD card so do not use a different SD card with this device or use one compatible with it if you want it to record, because it did not work with me when I used a different SD card. Also, you must format he SD card on your computer or you will experience recording problems on your device I found out so make sure to do so. Great product. I would purchase from them again. I am very satisfied and the security and safety I feel having this product so I can see what is going on is so wonderful.

We also purchased the LW2751 as a "starter" home security camera and we are generally happy with this product.

We have had a problem that has recently occurred (this past weekend) with the entire screen and image being mirrored or reversed (text and icona are also all reversed and mirrored!) - just happened this past weekend. I have entered a ticket into the Lorex customer support system, but have not had a response yet from them which after 3 days is disappointing

We do really like this unit as it was to install easy set up and the wireless signal is very good. We also added a 64MB card and get 10 full days worth of continuous recording.

Image quality both day and night is good - but this is a basic system so one needs to temper their expectations.

We are really hoping to hear back from Lorex soon to resolve this reversed image issue that has occurred on the base unit. Other than that glitch, we are happy with it

I bought the LW2751 as a "starter" home security camera and it has surpassed my expectations. The setup is easy and only requires an outlet for the camera. It's very easy to use and fairly intuitive. The microphone is very sensitive and will pick up casual conversations 30 feet away on my street. I added a 64MB card and get nearly a weeks worth of continuous recording.

Pluses -
-great image quality during the day
-great app to watch things on my phone while I'm away
-great speaker quality on the screen and app
-great camera wireless range

-night vision resolution is only good enough to tell that a person is in the image but that's about it, especially if the person is moving fast
-motion detection will turn on the screen on when the screen is in "synch" mode even with the motion detection disabled which turns on the screen unncessesarily
-volume is low on the camera when talking back to someone

I recommend it for the price!

Very happy with this product. Easy set up, instructions easy to follow and on-line user guide very informative. I added an additional camera. I would recommend this system especially for a first-time user.

This product worked great for the first 6 months that I owned it. Then it started freezing and not working properly. I called lorex and they informed me it was under warranty for 1 year so they are now replacing the monitor. Waiting on them to contact me so I can get the new unit.

First, the positives. Convenient battery powered receiver/monitor. Great for setting up the camera angle and being able to view the video from anywhere in the house. Decent daytime resolution.

Now the bad. Poor night time resolution. So far, have not been able to use Video Motion Detect/Recording at night. As soon as the camera goes to b&w mode, that type of detection stops, even though no menu changes have occurred. Passive Infrared detection does work, but that's good for ~15-20 feet. Tech Support strung me along since day 3 while 'escalating' the ticket. Tech Support sent replacement camera even though I told them it was unlikely it. Of course no change. Replacement camera was returned 7 days ago, replacement monitor was supposed to be sent by now, won't for another week.

Lorex will not discuss returning unit for refund since I purchased at Best Buy. Only reason I did not return it to BB within the 15 day window was due to Lorex stringing me along stating, "It does video motion recording at night", "escalating ticket", and "new camera will fix it."

Purchased this camera a couple months ago and generally I happy with it.

This system has a great picture resolution and color. It also plugs directly into your router to give online access to clips and some configuration. The daytime motion triggering is excellent. I use the Iphone app to access remotely which works ok, but sometimes fails to play video clips and does not remember some of my configuration changes.

My biggest issue is with the motion detection. At night, I found the camera would only trigger when I got within a range of about 6-8 feet. I wanted a camera system that could detect motion much further out than that at night. However, in the daytime it works great and I can trigger on motion as far as 50 feet away or more. The problem is, the unit only has one sensitivity setting for motion, which applies to both day and night. So it is hard to find a setting that would work in all cases. Setting the motion sensitivity to low, rarely triggers at night and setting it to high, excessively triggers during the day.

I am hoping that the developers can address the issue with a software update to make this feature more usable.

The quick start guide is confusing because it states to refer to a user's guide, but does not indicate that you have to get the guide from your web page. The user's guide is necessary to do the some of the initial set up. Consider including user's guide in packages or tell where to find it on your web site. Another confusing thing is model numbers. All packaging refers to the equipment as a LW 2750 series system, but the equipment model number starts with WL then 4 digits. When registering the equipment which numbering system should a person use? The system is very good for small areas or short distances, but for home security a person needs a system with more range. Also for this type of system a larger monitor would enhance the system greatly, at least a 11 or 12 inch.

What's great about it: great picture and easy setup

What's not so great: cannot see camera through PC, only tablet or phone

This a great security system and great cameras. The picture quality is good and the setup is easy. Syncing and viewing on the mobile app os great, but I wish you could see it on your PC.
