RG59 siamese BNC cabling provides video and power transmission, making for an easy and clutter-free connection between security camera, power and DVR. This makes them an ideal solution for monitoring large properties (see documentation for complete details). I was really impressed by the quality of the video, so I purchase a $2000.00 HD Lorex system with extra cameras in Dec. 2013. I had a total of 7 cameras for surveillance around my house. Since I travel on a regular basis, it was great to be able to monitor my home when on the road. However, within the last 6 months I had 5 cameras go bad. They are all mounted under eves and inside the courtyard, so there is no major exposure to the weather, except for the hot and cold temperatures. On the outside the cameras the cameras look brand new, but they just stopped working. Also, one of the ports on my DVR went bad, it just shows a black screen. When I moved the camera on that port to another, it works, so at least that camera is still functioning. I was kind of mad at myself for not purchasing the extended warranty until I realized that it would have only added to the cost, since the equipment started to go bad after 26 months of purchase.

I guess from what I read in the comments, I am like most of the customers; really like the system at the beginning, great video quality, use of remote access. Now, I am very disapointed with the Lorex purchase; all I have to show for it is a DVR with a bad port and 2 cameras. Customer support is another headache story. With the equipment being now 2-3 years old and no longer in production, they told me they had to do some research in finding an equivalent and that they would get back to me. Well, they never did. I called several times, again was told that they needed to do the reserach and will call me back, which they never did. Finally, I was able to talk to someone and he gave me the option to either buy the equivalent replacement cameras and DVR or since the cost will be about the same, recommended I just go ahead and purchase a new system. I for one cannot affort spending $2000.00 every 2 years or so for a Lorex surveillance system.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you are having difficulty with your system. We have many options available for 8 cameras with a DVR, well under $2000. We also offer extended warranties. Our sales team would be happy to assist you and can be reached at 1-888-425-6739, option 1.

Initially, my new system worked flawlessly. Setup was simple too. Unfortunately, the DVR failed within a few months. I was able to get a warranty replacement after spending a lot of time on hold waiting for a person to provide me an RMA. Soon after the replacement DVR was installed, it too failed, worse than the first one. I have tried to use the online ticket system to get this repaired too but it doesn't work. So, I continue to wait and wait and wait on hold for someone to handle my calls. My buying experience with Lorex is a snap. After that Tech support and Customer Service is lame.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any difficulty or inconvenience you have experienced. If you require further assistance, please call us at 1-888-425-6739 or reply to our email.

Took longer than expected for shipping. Was told it had to do with holiday orders. When the box arrived, it only had ten cameras and not twelve. Had to call and request the other two. The rep said it was in the same box which it was not. Set up the system just fine. Image quality is good not super. The DVR is louder than my previous unit but bearable. Two cameras have fuzzy horizontal lines but only noticeable at night. Hopefully the camera isn't defective? Overall a great system.

Overall a great product so far. The picture is great! We did have to replace the cables as when we upgraded to the HD cameras.

The fan on the unit is extremely loud. We read the reviews and many people said they were loud and it is actually true.

This is the second Lorex system I bought. I was replacing a older system. This was much easier to install and remote viewing with the Flir Cloud was so much easier then the last system.
I would highly recommend this system.

The MPX1610W system I purchased was shipped very quickly and arrived in perfect condition...I installed the DVR and 2 cameras the first day and had no problems getting the system up-and-running...I routed a network cable to it the next day and got the FLIR Cloud working on two mobile devices very easily...I plan to add the other cameras one by one as my free time allows...overall the quality of the system seems to be very good and the camera images are very clear day and night...I have not had much time to "play" with the recording options and other features...will comment back when I do...

We bought this system to replace an old Lorex unit. Installation was easy and the cameras are okay. Lorex provided us with DDNS link that does not work at all.

My third Lorex system and by far the best. HD makes a significant difference on viewing. Flair setup is easy with the QBR scan bar. The only thing to watch is the wire to the camera is much shorter than other models I've had. Shipping was fast for me so different than other comments I saw. Highly recommend for the money.

We bought the 1080p HD 12 camera system at Costco and we are pleased so far. The cables were not long enough for a couple of the cameras but they make longer so no big deal. The only thing that I am having trouble with is remote viewing. I have a Windows Phone (by choice) and there is no app from FLIR for it. They only make apps for Android and iPhone. I have set up the DDNS system but I cannot remote view it yet. I have followed all instructions and nothing. Tech support is ok at best (via e-mail), so I guess I will call them later and see if someone can help me. I will say that the cameras have performed flawlessly and are crystal clear.

I have to say that I am not very impressed with LOREX at this point. I ordered my system 9/21 and it was suppose to be delivered 9/29. I call them today and I am told it was back ordered and I will not receive the system until 10/5 or 10/6. They have my email address, why not send me an email with this information. I asked the representative if it was back ordered when I made the purchase 9/21. His response was no. My question is simple, how can it be back ordered now. Not a happy customer. Searching the web now for an alternative just to be safe.

Thank you for your feedback. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I would like to place my system in my closet and run an HDMI to my tv in the bedroom. Will the remote for this DVR go through walls or can I program it into my Logitech remote. I am going to give this four stars based on what I have read thus far.

I can't write nothing about the system yet since I'm yet to get it past processing after placing my order. Contacting customer service department and speaking to someone who is not from the U.S. is a disaster. I could tell that technical support is totally different and very responsive. Hopefully I can get someone who know's what they are doing in their end and push it past processing otherwise canceling order for this unit I read good reviews about.

We apologize for the delay in shipping your order. We are happy you have now received it. Should you ever have any questions or concerns, please contact our customer service department at 1-888-425-6739 and they will be happy to assist.

This is my third Lorex system and so far it's the best by far. The Cloud network was extremely easy to set up (much easier than port forwarding). The image quality is very good however all that resolution does slow the network down. It's a good tradeoff though! I have multiple retail locations and my other store was professionally set up. This system was 1/2 the cost and so far performs much better.

I purchased this system for my home. I was very surprised at how clear the resolution was on the hd cameras. The resolution is comparable to an ip camera. The ability to set up the remote viewing on my Android phone was a piece of cake. The night viewing is very clear even in the pitch dark. The only con is the DVR is a little loud from the fan noise. I only gave this DVR 4 stars because of the fan noise. The noise is the equivalent of a computer tower fan.

I got this one to replace my aging lorex analog dvr. This is a very nice dvr for the price. My BNC Cables stayed in my walls and all I had to do is replace the Cameras and plug it in. I had a little issue connecting remotely but I was glad to hear a solid english speaking tech support folks. The Tech support is by far much improved now that Flir owns lorex..Unfortunetly after 4 days my Dvr crapped out so they are sending me a new one. I'll update my review once I get the replacement finished. The video quality is awesome and it shoots in true 720p. This is a very nice system for 1k.

I bought the Lorex 720p, 12 camera unit at Costco. I had this unit installed a week ago and my wife and I can't believe the clear images on our monitor (I dedicated an unused computer monitor to the system). At night, the IR shows all that I need to see. In fact, I'm soon going to add two more cameras.

I especially like the sequential and the motion only features of the DVR. I hope that the 2TB drive will hold the information for a long time using this setting.

This is my first time using a security system and I had many questions about the unit and its operation. The support staff at Lorex was outstanding and VERY patient. I've already recommended this system to friends.

I bought the 12 camera system on (mod LHD182C6, order #L338846) 3/26/2015 and, finally, connected the 12th camera on 4/30/2015. All of my outdoor cameras are mounted 16 feet above ground level and underneath the roof overhang. This location keeps them out of the rain and reduces the possibility of tampering. Every single thing worked perfectly, right out of the box. The software is simple and intuitive to operate and I had no difficulty with downloading/installing the latest version on line. I am 72 years old and I am still learning to use all of the features of the software but, so far, it has been absolutly great. I like being able to look in at my home from a remoted location with my I-pad.

I bought this system from Costco to replace a 3 year old 600tvl Lorex system. The cameras are much better and the DVR offers a larger number of features not available on the older system. The security is greatly improved and multiple accounts with assignable access are now available.
But we didn't get there without a certain amount of pain. While both system use the BNC caBLE. The new cameras are not nearly as sturdy as the older cameras and their leads are only 1 foot long versus 3 feet. So you have to readjust your wiring to connect them in the eaves instead of in the attic. The mounting base is smaller so only one screw hole is reusable.
By the time I got the Lorex DDNS connection set up (No luck with the FLIR Cloud) four of the video ports had failed. Rebooting and cycling camera power had no affect. An email to tech support resulted in a "Sorry about that, Call us, Ticket closed". Expecting the worse, I called Tech Support, but after only a few minutes, Sarah answered the call, she was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous, She worked me through the troubleshooting until it was determined I needed to do a "factory reset". It was a nuisance to reset everything, but he system has been working fine for the last three days. We'll see how low it lasts, but the old system worked well for three and half yeares

This system is pretty slick, well designed and easy to use with practice and using the manual.

The connection between the wire and the connector piece is fragile if the wire must be fished through walls.

The marketing materials should include more information in the photos to illustrate what the cameras will see. This would help with planning camera locations. Perhaps a few graphics that show the viewing angles would be beneficial.

Purchased this system about a month ago. Got it installed and up and running. Set up was a breeze. For the price the quality is good once you get in there and tweek the camera settings to get picture quality. The DVR is a bit noisy, not sure if it's the fan or the hard drive making the noise. All in all good system. Definitely better price than purchasing a 1080p digital system. I wish the camera housings were steel instead of plastic, may not stand up to the Texas heat and sun. I do like the fact that you can remove the cameras from the mounting base and thread them into any 1/2" NPT fitting, making for a variety of mounting optoins. I mounted the cameras to water tight boxes and made all the connections inside that box so if cameras do fail I won't have to fish wire out of the eve's to get to the connection.

I purchased the 12 camera LHD182C6 to replace an old system from another manufacturer. I liked that this system had 720P video over analog lines - which is what I had already run for my old system (making the new Lorex system nearly plug and play). Quality and resolution is great. The DVR software is a huge improvement over my old system, allowing me to record continuously, but also be able to search for motion. The DVR cooling fan is a bit noisy, so best to place it somewhere where it doesn't annoy. The camera housings and mounts are slightly lower quality than expected (white plastic), so we will see if they can hold up to the sun/weather. I wish the mounts had ball sockets for adjustments, but I guess once they are adjusted it is no big deal. I setup remote viewing the "old fashioned way" rather than using the QR barcode (set a static IP/reserve the IP on the router, port forward 80 and 35000 to said IP, and used the FLIR app on my android), and it works great. Note that only Lorex cameras work with this DVR (yes, I tried). Overall this seems to be a great system for the price.

I haven't had a chance to install system because of a remodel but, I've been a customer for a couple of years and am happy to continue using lorex products. I bought this new system about 2 months ago and played around with it a couple of days ago. To set up all you need to do is Port forward the required ports on you're router and follow the quick start manual. I was remotely viewing the system within 10 minutes of playing with it.

Thank you Lorex!

Ordered Product on Black Friday direct from Lorex and saved myself some money. The system is easy to install. The hardest thing for me, was where to install the recorder. You want to find a centralized location to make it easy for the 60' cables to reach. Other than that the HD cameras and the recorder are great, and the peace of mind is invaluable. I highly recommend this bundle.

The 720p cameras and 2TB DVR works great. I connected the DVR to my 1080p HDTV and the clarity in both the day and night vision views were fantastic. I received several different box shipments and did all of the installation. The instruction and manuals are great but you need some skills in wiring maybe not for a novice. I installed my wiring in the walls and ceilings. I would recommend this system as being affordable with great features and capabilities.

I had an older surveillance system at my house and I wanted to upgrade to HD. As the house was already wired with Siamese cable, the HD-SDI system was a very cost effective way to upgrade to HD, no need for any new cables. Switching out the cameras and the DVR was very easy. Once I turned the system on, I had it up and running on my phone and ipad in less than 3 minutes with the Stratus feature, which I was familiar with and had used in the past. The camera quality when viewing on an HD monitor is excellent, much better than even the 960H unit I had previously. The ability to zoom in is great and provided very good image quality. Also, the HD-SDI cameras have a better field of view, giving more coverage, but you don't lose anything as the zoom allows close up of anything on the screen. As expected due to bandwidth, the quality on the phone and ipad is just OK. You definitely do not have the same clarity as on the monitor, but that is to be expected. Bottom line, I would highly recommend buying the HD system as it is significantly better image quality than other systems. If you already have the Siamese cables run, buy this. For a new install, I would go with the POE system as Cat 5 cables are an easier and cleaner install. Both systems will give the same quality image, and are well worth the slightly higher price than the non HD systems.

Could any users give some more info regarding how long the 2T of memory lasts before it is written over at highest resolution? Does the system allow some cameras to be action activated and some others to record at full 1080 res?

I'll rate this as five stars if it is at least a month of recordings.

Received the cameras/DVR -- everything was packaged perfectly and in total working order. It is important to really follow all directions, but it was cumbersome to have to read the instructions on-line versus a paper manual. It was fairly easy to set up. It does have a GREAT picture quality and the night vision is really good as well. Glad we went with the 1080P on this one. Cable length was long enough as well. Overall, very happy with the product so far and am glad we purchased a Lorex w/6 cameras.

This is my first camera security system, I purchased it in July of 2013, after carefully studying the manual I easily installed it and had it up and running without requiring assistance from tech support, except to use the iPhone app. Tech support was very helpful, there was hardly any wait to talk to someone and the system has run flawlessly for seven months now. Both the laptop control panel and iphone app have worked as hoped as well. I could not be happier with the system, its ease of set-up or the quality of the picture I get through the cameras.

I purchased this system on behalf of our Mobile Home Park. We have an exit gate and are concerned that at times someone is forcing it open. This camera system seemed like a great solution. While we haven't installed it yet, we have tested it and are very happy with the results. However the start up procedure could be better explained. For example nothing is mentioned about using the mouse. When we entered the user name and tried to go to password we couldn't figure out what to do. We had to phone Tech. Support. A simple mention of using the mouse would have saved a lot of time and frustration. We were following directions. What is delaying our installation right now relates to what distance we can go. We would like to set up the DVR in our office. The distance is about 500 feet. We are looking into this. One thing that would have been nice is a zoom lens on the cameras. In fact while the picture is beautiful, it would have been nice to focus in more on a narrower view. At this time I would give it a rating of 4. Hopefully Tech. support can answer phones more quickly. I am paying by the minute on my Cell.

The system was very easy to install I did it myself and and I don't like hooking up electronic equipment. The clarity on screen is excellent. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

PRO: This is the third Lorex system I have purchased, one for my self with four HD cameras, one wireless one with two SD cameras for a customer, then one more for my self with six HD cameras, but that can handle eight. I needed more cameras, and the four ones I have will work with this system. I am very impress with the over all system. CON: Setting the zones is a great idea, so I can detect when a car pulls into my driveway, and have it send me an email with a picture. BUT it is too sensitive, even leaves blowing across my driveway will trigger it, and a squirrel. They need to provide an update to the firmware that would allow an entire block to be full (Due to a car, truck, etc) before triggering.

Great system, originally purchased an analog system(from a different mfr.)and could not make out any detail. We decided to give this system a chance with HD. So far so good with great clarity. The only drawback is the dvr cooling fan is loud, as long as it's not installed in your bedroom, this is a great system.

The system works perfectly and was easy to install . The images are perfect and well worth the extra expense over the lower definition systems. I got this one for my business and now i am going to get one for my home.

I've been using Lorex security systems now for 3 years. One of my night vision cameras in my first purchase started to fail - in that it stayed in night vision mode consistently. A quick call to Lorex, and a replacement was shipped. Their customer service is great! Keep up the good work.

I bought this system to watch the house while away and deter vandals in the neighborhood. Installation was pretty easy for the most part. I have still not figured out how to hook up the DDNS server so I can access from work. The software is a little cumbersome since you have to use a mouse to type on a virtual keyboard. I have the LHD200 series DVR which is the newer system. I am still plying with camera views and settings. Thought I had a broken channel until I realized I had set a "Covert" setting that blacks out the live view. Overall I am happy with the system so far for the price I paid and the quality of the cameras. Customer Service is a little slow but they do make contact and help when I have reached out to them. I would recommend this to anyone interested in a good system that is relatively easy to set up.

I origanaly gave this product a 5 star rating, but that was when it was new and I was promissed an additional 1 year warrenty for writing it. After having this unit for one year, I have had to replace every camera at some time and still was shipped 2 bad cameras. Even though I had it for 1 year, Costco took it back and gave me a full refund. Costco must know something about Lorex.

I have purchased a few other systems without much success due to quality of picture. This system was very easy to install and has a great picture when using a hdmi cable directly connected to the dvr. The Android app is a piece of garbage. it crashes all the time, and is really useless. The web interface from a computer degrades the picture quality so much that it can't be the primary interface. But the rest of the system I thought was going to be a lot better and I would have given it 5 stars, but 3 cameras have died in less then a month due to weather. The cameras are protected by a roof line and have no wires exposed, but for some reason they have stopped working. I Really wish I went with a different product. Complete waste of a lot of money. As for customer support. They were nice, but they told me I had to send in an email. They wouldn't handle my warranty issue over the phone.

The Lorex wireless caemra system is limited in it's ability to give sharp video images day or night (you cannot read a car's license plate). The most disappointing of the features is the very limited distance range that the caemras are able to connect to the DVR. At best, I was only able to be about 40 feet apart. I had to have the inside antennas on a windowsill in line of sight of the caemras. My home is a wood frame structure. The software is somewhat cumbersome in that when you access the List of videoed events, you cannot erase the entire previous day of numerous tapings. You have to constantly use a toolbar at the bottom of the screen. You select the event you want to view from the List then move the cursor to the tool bar to watch the event or erase the event. Then you have to go back to the List to select another event. I may have 400 plus events a night to review. If you want a wireless video security caemra system that is easy to install in a very small area, this product may work for you.

After a little delay on the delivery process, the system arrived well packaged and installation guides were easy to follow. Images from the HD-SDI cameras were excellent along with a good FPS. Backing up and capturing was good. Only thing I wished on the backup directly from the DVR if you could switch the format from .rms to .avi or other formats instead of using the network interface to do the same. The cooling fan was a little loud but most DVR systems I have dealt with were around the same db. Other nice feature was the ability to add additional storage if you need it. All in all, I thought this is a good system and would recommend it to anyone setting up in a home environment to small business.

I am very pleased with my Lorex 6 camera security system. The unit was very easy to install. The manual was well layed out and provided all the necessary information. I did have one camera that did not work and the company was quick to arrange for its replacement. I am very pleased with the system. It has met my objectives for installing a security system.

Pros: These cameras have an excellent daytime picture and good nightime picture with good range in infrared coverage. They are easy to connect and the DVR software is well evolved and feature rich for easy review of recorded events.Computer and smartphone access is also respectable and shows very nice video. The ability to filter certain portions of the screen from motion detection is very nice. Cons: The DVR hard drive is a bit noisy making a continuous whirring sound. The smartphone app could use some additional features such as Smart Search and frame capture and email.

This product has been a pain in the a$$ for me .... I ordered the product and paid for it waited to receive my cameras... Anxiously waiting I schedule an appointment with my local installer to have system installed three days from tracking delivery date. Package arrived as scheduled only to find DVR was not in. I promptly contacted lorex and they said it was back ordered for another month. I had my cameras sitting there for another month until I got the DVR. Finally when the DVR reached my home I installed system to find that the system looked good. Two weeks after professional installation. Waited a four days and never got a call back. I called back waited another hour and a half to be told that cameras were bad. Overall I think he video quality is almost great , the equipment made in Korea . I'm hoping that they last but doubt the equipment will that's mainly the reason I'm writing this review because you get an additional year of warranty not to b!tch

Cameras work very well, but I have had nothing but problems. I have had 3 months. 1) One of my initial cameras was defective. 2) Technical support was not knowledgeable about the product. It took multiple attempts to get remote setup. 3) The hard drive failed

I am very pleased with the clarity of the picture, both live and recorded. The night vision is impressive and provides a very clear picture in low light and complete darkness. My only complaint is that Lorex tech support has limited hours and is not available on weekends.

Very nice set with excellent quality recording. The video is crystal clear. Nice digital zoom feature. It has a wide viewing angle so you can see a large area in one camera. everything is easy to use. thought this system had the cameras with dual BNC outputs, guess not. Remote viewing took a while to figure out but i eventually figured it out. The cameras are fairly large but the build quality makes up for it. The iphone/ipad app is not so great. Very poor UI, slow and buggy. Crashes a lot. The playback feature is not even usable. I would like to see a better app. I might save the other two channels open, incase they come out with an HD PTZ camera. This i probably the best system you can buy along with their HD IP camera set.

This review has nothing to do with the product, simply because I have not received it. I ordered the 6 camera HD LHD182C6 on April 21, 2013. It seemed to be a good deal and the Lorex website promised "fast shipping." Nothing on the website indicated a delay in shipping. On May 22, 2013, I received an automated response advising my order had shipped, "standard shipping." So I called Lorex who told me that the automated response was wrong. My order was shipped expedited and then he offered to check the tracking number. "Your order will arrive on May 29, 2013." Huh! So much for expediting. We'll see if it arrives. So far I am not impressed with Lorex customer service. Perhaps it would be less of a sting if they had charged my credit card at time of shipping or maybe sent me an e-mail notifying me of the back order.

Very clear surveillance recording and excellent at night time mode too. I like the fact that you are able to check up on your property anywhere in the world with the lorex app that works with this system. easy set up with good technical assistance to set up ddns address. however i don't like the fact that the lorex assistance is not 24hrs for technical support only monday to friday, and have to wait long periods of time to get assistance for technical support i was waiting 30-40 mins for support and the app doesnt allow you to check recordings or zoom in as you would like as its slow and crashes, but on a pc it works seemlessly. one major drawback is the dvr's fan is very noisy and is annoying so beware of the hd dvrs noise

AWsome HD

Pros: beautiful image quality, great play back over the web pc and i pad, top notch tech support, a snap to set up and use, reasonable price

Cons: not enough cameras, records at to lo a frame rate for my liking

"After owning an older Lorex system (trouble free for 4 years) I saw this HD system on costo's web site and decided it would be great to watch my house in HD. Any intruders can now be easily identified with details of their face. The image is supper sharp and the colors are dead-on. Being a previous user, the set up was a snap. No instruction manual needed. The hardest part was running the cables to where I wanted to place the cameras. Everything else was so easy evan a first time novice could set it up with out help. Setting up internet viewing can be a bit tricky but Lorex has great tech support if you need them. The only things that I would improve on are: an 8 camera system instead 4, the option of higher FPS recording, 5 fps is a tad jerky, 15 fps would be great, cameras with built in IR motion sensors would also be a plus. Of corse these things would add to the cost considerably.

All in all, I am extreamly satisfied with this product.

Lorex 4 Camera HD security system

Pros: 1080p, 100ft cables, hdmi output, tech support

Cons: could use more than 4 camera's but made do.

"I bought and installed the Lorex LHD1042001C4 system and would highly(!!!) recommend anyone looking for a survelliance system, to just buy this Lorex system. Don't count your pennies here, this system is WELL worth the little extra money you may need to spend, given the quality of picture (1080p) and technical support. Excellent technical support, can't praise them highly enough!! I absolutely recommend this system period. No major issues. Tech support took control over the internet and in about 20minutes, had the system up on my local net AND had remote viewing on my smart phone working AOK!

To give you a little background. About 4 months ago I purchased a competitor's 8 camera system(no names, but they were based in Australia - that I found out AFTER I purchased the system). I had nothing but problems with this competitors system, the HDMI output didn't work and when I called their tech support, it was the typical 'follow a script' tech support. I'm a technical person and was very frustrated with the level of support AND the lack of call back. I finally had to email them to get response, 1 week after my initial issue was found. This competitor's Support wanted to call me back on Sunday night(Monday in Australia) up to midnight my time. Heck, I work for a living...bottom line, the system was bad and I returned it for a refund.

Having gone thru that bad experience with the 'competitor', I put aside the effort to get a survelliance system because I didn't want to go thru that again. BUT...After some research I saw that Lorex was based in Toronto. I'm in New Hampshire and if Tech Support was in Toronto, no more 'Australia' contact problems! So I did a little more research and found the new HD1080p Lorex system and it was available through Costco! This system was great, HDMI output and 1080p picture!! I bought it via Costco, @3days later I had it in my little hands. I tested it on the table to make sure all was working and even put an active splitter(ViewHD 2 Port HDMI 1x2 Powered Splitter Ver 1.3) on the DVR's HDMI output and display on a local monitor and on a 25foot HDMI cable to a large flat screen TV. When I knew all was working, I snaked the cables and installed the system permanently. Works perfectly now for @2+ weeks. I really needed 6 camera's, but made do with the four(4) this system has. I'm hoping an upgrade will be available from Lorex in the future...I'm keeping my eyes open for it.

Bottom line, my experience with this Lorex LHD100 Series system has been a PLEASURE. The Tech Support folks are VERY competent and a pleasure to deal with! Not the 'follow a script' type support at all, rather a person that wants to know how they can help. The picture quality is clear and top notch and night vision works perfectly! If you're thinking of this Lorex system and it can fit your needs, just buy it. You will be very happy, I certainly am!!!"

"Being in the broadcast industry for many years, I wanted a system for home that was intuitive and had great images. Before I hung the cameras, I hooked the entire system up and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the cameras in daylight and complete darkness. The HD quality cameras turned a beautiful image. The sharpness and color were much better than expected. I was impressed with the way the cameras could switch quickly with different light levels. It was actually quite fun to observe this. I was happy with the low noise level of the DVR and how everything stayed at a cool temperature. The system was recording before I knew it and it was whisper quiet.

I thought the interface on the DVR was very straightforward and easy to control. My internet installation was a bit slow, but I chalk this up to my internet provider’s router.

I bought this system to monitor my home while I was away and I am pleasantly surprised with the product. My only complaint was a new video cable arrived slightly frayed on one end. The cable worked, but could have be an issue over time. I offered this feedback to Lorex and they immediately sent a replacement.

I could have bought any system out there. I thought this one was at a fair price for the quality it delivers. Now I just have to choose between watching the late news or monitoring the cameras for wildlife jumping over the backyard fence. Great product."
