This is the fastest and easiest security system I have ever in installed. We have had three in the last 30 years. This Lorex ECO6 is truly plug and play. We have had it for 2 yrs and Its has captured on video people of the night prowling around
Thank you for such a wonderful system at a reasonable price, if you know how to plug something into a wall outlet, 90% of the work is done.
Since the original purchase I have added 3 more cameras, very pleased with the over results. You Go LOREX

Most of these cameras seem to work ok. I am having trouble with picture quality as it goes from day to night. I also have a proble with one of the 720p wireless cameras. Seems it's ok on initial plug in but then the leds dont work followed by picture degrading to unusable.

the system connected fairly easily, however I have been unable to connect to a DDNS to remotely monitor the system. I have connected 1 iphone but can not connect a 2nd one.

There isn't a lot of help available (lack of manuals), and the links on the website for latest FLIR Cloud client take me to an advertisement.

Thank you for your feedback. Our technical support team would be happy to assist you and can be reached at 1-877-755-6739

I recently purchased 2 HD cameras with audio to add to my system. The picture is noticeably clearer in color or B&W (night vision). Problem is, it seem to take an awful lot of light to bring the cameras back to a color image. Otherwise, it was a great upgrade to my system. I wish all my cameras were HD!

Such easy installation. Literally just plug and play. Download the Iphone app and then scan your code that on the machine, and instant viewing. The wired cameras have an incredible picture, and its real-time. The WiFi's have a slight delay and skip a little on the monitor, but still very nice. Remember when you do the install, that you can drill the hole for the wire right in between the mounting screws, so nice clean "no wires showing" installation- I figured this out too late on a few.

I only gave 4 stars because the mounting hardware sucks. Why not an easy one ball mount that swivels 360 degrees? I don't know... The mounts make it more difficult to install than it should be.

System is fine for the price, cameras are average. Playback over your phone is easy to set up and a great feature. Couldn't get the mouse to work initially but tech support was great and actually not much of a wait to get through; I was expecting much worse from what I had read. Had to phone tech support twice and both times not an issue getting through and very helpful. I would like to see a little better pricing on additional cameras as the wireless cameras are great and would like to purchase more.

for the most part this product seems of good quality so far, except the mouse. the mouse is a throw away, and when i replaced it with my backup mouse the system responded fine.

the delivery schedule was horrible. website stated 7 to 9 business days. complete lack of communication to customer regarding Warehouse being closed on regular working days between christmas and new years. submitted two tickets without response - finally phoned in to a very apologetic customer service rep - my guess is they were just the first line of defense against poorly implemented management communication policy

The LW467 arrived quickly and all parts were there. Installation took a little longer due to snow storms and very cold weather. Was very happy with the system and all the options. Still playing around with the sensitivity on a couple cameras as they view my yard and the street. Watching the play back on my iPhone is real nice. I need to move one camera as the IR at night interferes with a nearby motion sensing light.

Installation takes some planning to get the wires ran but that helps in the long run as it blends in with the house and is hardly visible.

I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to see what goes on at night and when they are away from home.

I just installed our second Lorex system. The LH160 Series is a great improvement over our first one which is still in service. Lots of options, settings and features make this one stand out. Installation was not too bad except for crawling in the attic. Wireless cameras are decent outdoors as far as range and picture quality. Wired cameras have a nice field of vision and are clear in daylight as well as night. As far as support or any contact with Lorex, my only concern is the amount of time it takes to get a response via email or telephone calls. Hopefully their response times will improve. Overall for the DIY'er it's great.

I installed this product in my brewery as a security measure to prevent shrinkage as well as a break in deterrent. I've found it was very easy to install, however due to a slower than average internet connection I often find I can't connect over the stratus app. When on 3G or at home it works well every time. I highly recommend this item to anyone. Just keep in mind that the "wireless" cameras are not necessarily "wireless" as they require a regular 120v plug to power the units antenna.

This product was relatively easy to install and setup. It works great as a home surveillance camera system and is easy to use. The only problem I have had was when I tried to connect to the device remotely using an iPhone or a mobile device to view the live images. Often times it could not be connected, showing an error message "failed to connect to the device". It works sometimes but not all the time. Because of that I tried to setup using DDNS connection, but it did not work at all because of the Port Forwarding issue which is difficult to setup.

Fast delivery direct from Lorex online. I set the unit up initially on a table to insure all cameras an peripherals worked and powered up correctly. This was my first surveillance system, so I did not want to redo or rewire cameras after installation. System set up was very quick everything powered up and worked great. I took about an hour or so to play with the cameras, wired and wireless, to get familiar with their field of views and transmitter distances prior to install so I could mount all cameras in the optimal locations.

I spent about 6 - 8 hours to install entire system.I had a monitor for the DVR but I also ran HDMI to TV so I can just switch over while watching TV to see who is at our door or if we suspect something is outside.

For me, the majority of the install time was spent climbing up and down the ladder for hiding the cables for a very clean install inside and outside of the house.

I was and still very impressed with the system and will soon connect to our internet for the added convenience Lorex includes with the online capabilities.

Seems like a good system. Keep cameras out of direct rain as water/condensation easily penetrates cameras. Wireless cameras are tough to identify facial features at night even from close up. I am running 150 feet of wire to my fence and using a wired camera to resolve. Should work for my needs.... We'll see what happens the next time board kid tries to vandalize my fence!

i purchased this product and it worked well right out of the box, installation was easy and simple, configuration of the DVR does take sometime as it is a bit old fashion/slow the way you have to input everything using the remote control. the only issue i am facing is that i can only see my cameras on my iphone or ipad with the Lorex app when i am in my house connected to my network but i cannot access from the internet nor from Safari in my personal computer.

at least here in houston you have to be aware that the installers do not install the wireless cameras.

i received the security system and it was easy to install. i am happy with the clairity of the pictures i receive from the cameras. the system is very easy to operate. i am dissapointed in calling lorex for information or help. you have to wait at least 30 minutes or more to get to the person you need to talk to. lorex doesn't sell the cvc7600 camera as a single you have to buy 4 at a time. i would like 1 more camera but will not buy 4 to get one. when you search their website for the system you purchaced it doesn't recognize the model number. i hope the system performs as it is supposed to. time will tell. i was asked to activate my warranty and receive 6 months extended warranty for doing so. i did not get it. by writing this review i am supposed to get a 1 year extension on my warranty. time will tell. i am not trying to be negative. i'm telling it as i see it. the system is a good product and so far i am happy with it.

Easy to install and operate. The wireless cameras are especially great with "daylight" like night vision. The wired cameras are fine during the day and "ok" at night. (although I have had one which appears to have lost it's night vision altogether.) Motion detection, alarm features all very good. The system is feature rich easy to operate and was a breeze to install. (when running the cables be aware they are not all coiled the same. there is a camera end and a dvr end. Annoying to get one strung threw a wall only to find out it was coiled opposite the other and must be restrung)
The DVR it's self is easy to work with global and individual settings. My only complaint with the dvr is the cooling fans are a little noisy so don't install it in a place where you read or want silence. Over all, for the money, I am very happy with the system (hoping they will replace the failing camera)

Good setup. Glad I went with it. Easy setup. I am an electrician so I found it fairly simple to set it all up. Took a little time to get it all setup with the app and saving video clips to USB but went well. I put one of the wireless cameras behind my house on the backside of the garage and it ended up being just barely out of range. It's probably around 100 feet but is through walls and up by the trusses on the garage so it is going through a lot of material and doesn't have line of sight I have another one by it and it works about 90% of the time so I am just on the borderline. I will up the wireless signal to correct it. The daytime use is what I had expected good detail and no complaints nice wide view. The night time is also what I somewhat expected, sadly. If you have good light or even a little light pointed toward the subject it works ok just doesn't have a lot of detail. With minimal light however you can not tell make and model of vehicles passing by. I think you could if the resolution were a little clearer.
Overall I am satisfied, I have been around a lot of camera systems in my job and this one works as good as any run of the mill system with its bad qualities and is great with daytime and the dvr features. I will also be adding a few cameras. I recommend but please be aware that no surveillance system is going to look like a movie shot at night. And if you really want good picture with any system be prepared to add light where you want the picture.
Oh and I will say the red lights on the camera at night are a little annoying but chances are you only see it because you are looking for a camera. I would thin the majority of people are not going to notice it and if they do they will be staring right at your camera so it could be a good thing to catch a face shot.

I am always on the road and this system allows me the opportunity to keep a visual on my house anywhere I?m located. The setup is not difficult and it has plenty of online support. I have two issues, the fan is continuously running and it?s annoying in my home office. I called tech support and they said is normal for this model and it took about 20 minutes to get through to technical support. Overall I like the system, however, I wish the fan wasn?t always running.

So far I have set up the 4 wired cameras and a fifth camera I purchased separately. They work good but I might have to move a couple down lower under my garage eves, they are catching the eve in the top of the camera and at night the view is not good on those cameras. I think they need a clear view. Have yet to set up the wireless cameras that came with the kit, I think they should work fine. I did have a issue with no internet connection in my garage and no way to get one out there, so i used the house plug Ethernet connection from Linksys and it worked great!

You can ask for an easier system set-up than this! I am not hooked up to a computer or mobile device, which would probably give me some trouble. I am not that good with computers! But, the basic system is pretty much PLUG and PLAY! Drill a few holes, tack up the wires, mount the cameras and plug them in. THATS IT! Easy to follow directions and illustrations made the set up a breeze. Just read the book and take your time. you'll be up and running in a matter of hours. It took me about 7 hours to have all seven cameras working. The next day I spent about an hour setting the time and adjusting the brightness and contrast. I will be purchasing the same system for my home. It comes with 60ft cables, but 120ft cables are available. I will need the extra length in my home and the are a bit pricey.
THIS IS A GREAT SYSTEM FOR THE FIRST TIME INSTALLER!

A great security system ? performs as promised. Although the system was easy to install, I required tech support to help with web access set-up. Tech support was very helpful and professional. From purchase to installation, my experience with Lorex and the ECO2 security system was pleasant.

Been having problems with vehicle breaking in our neighborhood lately. Installed the Lorex Security system on my home and now my wife and I both feel a lot more at ease knowing we will have a higher level of security on our home. We have recommended this system to our neighbors and they are considering installing a system as well. No problems so far.

This is my second system and it was a lot easier to setup and install. I did have a problem with the DDNS I had put in my IP address but when I could not get access and opening a ticket I did not help, they wanted me to call for technical assistance and I never do that so I checked back and found the IP address was set to 0.0.0.0 I took a screen shot before I made my save so I know it was not my error.
I like the Lorex products but wish I could turn off the PIR lights I do not need them and have no choice but to have the cameras indoors or have them smashed and so have to use my original Logitech webb-cams to monitor at night and have put a timer to switch off the PVR as there is no point in recording whit dots.

Buying a complete kit I expected it to all be compatible, but the power connectors were not. I used paper clips as loose wires to check we at least had the cameras pointing in the right direction before apologizing to the customer (US Navy) and leaving them with incompatible connectors hanging.
Tech support was horrible. I gave up holding twice, and when i did get through after 25 minutes on hold and 20 minutes for them to finally work out

Had purchased my first Lorex at Costco a little over a year ago, easy to install called tech support for help getting connected with my smart phone and computer. I had issues with the dvr it stopped working and rather then getting it repaired I decided just to purchase another through Lorex.
So far it has worked well for my restaurant hope it will last longer then the last.
Good product for the money!

Easy To Set Up, Even For A Non-Techie!

I received this and was very excited to get set up as I need it for my small business and would love to be able to monitor what goes on outside and inside my business. I was a little apprehensive as I am not a techie person, I can get frustrated easily but the instructions pretty much stated it was easy to set up, so that convinced me. To my surprise, this was extremely easy to set up and from unpacking the two boxes, to hooking up to my computer monitor, this took less then 15 min to turn on and set up my first camera.

The instructions suggest advanced knowledge for internet set up, but I am familiar with my router settings, so that looks to be half the complexity. Sound is not included with the cameras I received, but audio capable cameras are available for purchase. Overall I am extremely thrilled and happy to have this system.

Lorex Delivers- Needed Help With Configuration,

Excellent product when I got things going finally. Needed a helpful hint or 2 from Brian in teck help and I was good to go. Delivers exactly what was ordered. Need to know a little about proper hookup and a moderate knowledge of computers. They back their products 100%. You have 30 days to use it and see if it fits your needs. I had a bad camera-sent me another new one. Has a 250 gig hard drive. I'm thinking of going up to 1 Terebyte

Lorex Does Well With Several Tech Calls

Having read the manuals before this arrived, I had some idea of the task. I managed 4-5 calls to the tech help line (mid afternoon waits of 5 mins or less) with short questions that the manual was not clear about. Example: port forwarding of your router, by brand, did not give a range, and the manual did not say from start to 80 set end to 80, which would have ans the question. All in all, it works both locally and remotely as advertised, but only via Internet Explorer. Menus are easier to navigate with the unit's remote than with the mouse for me. Excellent recording control of parameters, with off-site handling of backing up a particular segment...I recommend it..
