I own 6 lorex cameras. They are easy to install and they have all I need. Never had problems with any,

Bought and installed the LNC204 and LNC226X indoor/outdoor combo pack. I had a few hiccups with installation but it was easy after a couple of calls to the tech service department. The customer service was fantastic and amazingly quick. The cameras are operating flawlessly - I will definitely be adding more of the 226X outdoor model.
Super easy to set up. Better than I expected. Images are clear and sharp. Had a quick question and support was fast to answer. Also like the two-way communication on the indoor camera.

I switched from a Lorex camera that plugged into a video capture card, to this Wi-Fi capable package. I had no trouble getting the VNC204 to work, but the VNC226X had a factory password problem. I eventually called support and was able to get an agent very quickly (we found the unexpected password on the web configuration screen).
My goal is to get still images from the cams to my hard drive. I tried to use iSpy open source camera s/w, but I couldn't find a truly live feed URL for the VNC204.
Using Lorex's L-VIEW, I can get an image snapshot on any schedule by saving to an FTP server on my PC, based on an impossible temperature alert. For example, the cameras will never see 150 degrees F, so the alert will occur as often as I allow it (there is a setting to tell how often a repeated alert is allowed to fire). The alert send the snapshot to the FTP location. This didn't seem to work with anonymous FTP, but works with a real account and works for email.
I have two sets of these cameras which joined the other six for my home monitoring. I have an autistic daughter who is lightning fast as she moves about the house and property. These cameras are easy to set-up and provide a clear image. This also allows me to monitor any activities should we use a babysitter service. Thanks for the quality product and keep up the great service

I purchased the Lorex HD 720p Indoor and Outdoor IP Wireless Wi-Fi Camera. Prior to purchasing the cameras, I watched the video that claimed how quick and easy the setup is for the Indoor camera. After receiving my cameras, I followed the same instructions on the video and on the manual, and the setup was truly that easy and simple for the Indoor camera. Once the app is located and downloaded, the rest is quick and easy. I am able to connect to the camera via mobile or Wi-fi when I am away from the house, and check the images of my home.
Setup for the Outdoor camera is a little more tricky, and can become overwhelming to buyers who are not Tech savvy. The instructions to setup the camera's Wi-Fi was a bit confusing, since the Ethernet cords that was included in the package still had to be connected through the splitter, which is also connected to the power cord connection. In addition, the user has to unscrew a panel on the bottom of the camera to press and access the WPS button to setup Wi-Fi. My concern would be that once the camera has been mounted and for some reason the Wi-Fi connection goes out and needs to reconfigure to reconnect, the user would have to go through the whole process of unscrewing the bottom panel on the camera while it was mounted just to press the WPS button.
The quality of the video is ok for the Indoor camera, but I was hoping for better resolution since it claims to be HD. The night vision for the Indoor camera works well indoors and the picture quality is ok as well. The video quality for the Outdoor camera was great and very clear. The night vision for the Outdoor camera works extremely well and has good picture quality.
As a side note, I wanted to use the Indoor camera to face the backyard, so I placed it facing out the kitchen window. When night time came, I found out the hard way that the night vision will need to be turned off because it picks up the light from the camera's night vision on the window and all I saw was the reflection of the window. I ended up turning off the night vision so that I can still view the backyard at night, but the picture quality looks very poor, even with the porch light on.
Setting up recording and other preferences and features (alarms, temperatures, etc) for the camera took a little longer to program, and might be difficult for those that are not too tech savvy.
The Indoor camera do not include the micro SD card, but can easily be purchase, for recording and storing images. Recorded information can be reviewed, but you have to scroll all the way down many, many, dates to get to the latest recording. I would prefer if it can be sorted by date, so that the latest recording is on top, not at the bottom of the file.
Overall, I am happy with the products and would recommend them.

I first try wifi camera indoor purchase from costco and I love it so much. Easy to install and easy to look from my Android phone. Now they have the out door one too. Can't ask any better. It does as it supports and if the wifi connection is strong I don't see any problem with it at all.
Would recommend this to my friends....

Great discount from Lorex...free shipping.
We bought 2 of these and feel better knowing we can check in from smart phone.
It really gives us a feeling of security.
I would buy again.

I bought the combo pack so I could install one camera inside the house and one outside. Installation went well using the quick start guides and my cell phone to pick up the router code. It was also easy to download and use the Lorex Ping app on my phone. The only negative is that the app when downloaded the my Kindle Fire will not stay connected when I click on a camera.
Overall, I like these products and think they are good value for the money.

To followup on my 1st review...I installed the 4 outdoor HD LNC226X cameras, and so-far impressed with the ease of configuration (using the WPS function) and picture quality. I was able to zoom in from my iPhone all the way out to the street 60 feet away, and get some decent resolution.
The reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 are the power cord and mounting bracket screws. The power cord has the ethernet cord and connection built-in, so even for wi-fi connection, you have to use it, which just makes the power cord have this extra piece (kinda bulky), which I wrapped in black electrical tape to cover and blend. Since this is an outdoor camera, likely to be mounted on brick or stucco or Hardiplank, the bracket holes should be larger to accommodate larger masonry-type screws.
I was able to mount them under canopies, patio covers, and eaves, so out of direct sunlight and rain, but one under an eave will get wet with hard rain, and all 4 will get a nice hot humid test in south Louisiana this summer, so we'll see.

I bought this HD combo pack to add on to my 4 existing LNC116 non-HD cameras. I've had 3 of the LNC204 connected now with the 4 LNC116 for a week or so, and have generally been very impressed with ease of setup and the quality of the video feed. I will be connecting 4 of the outdoor HD LNC226X in the near future, and will post a review after that.
A few things:
1. The WPS setup worked quickly and flawlessly with my Apple Airport Express 802.11n routers, which don't even have a WPS button.
2. Don't let the wider angle lens (66 deg. vs. 60 deg.) of the LNC216 and LNC226X make you think you actually get a wider view than the LNC116. Because they're HD and the resolution settings and lens focal lengths are different (I don't understand all this), the view is better quality, but not larger, even with setting the stream resolution to 1280x800. As a matter of fact, you lose a little bit of height. This is the only reason my rating is 4 instead of 5 stars, because I wasn't aware of this, and think Lorex should advise customers of that on the product page.
3. I've found the thermometer to be pretty accurate, within 2 degrees of my Nest thermostats.
4. Lorex, you need to add web access (like on your DVR systems), so you don't have to install the software. Unless there are serious security issues I'm not aware of.
