2K security footage

The 4 megapixel image sensors in both sets of cameras are capable of recording stunning 2K footage at 20 frames-per-second. This ensures that you don't miss a thing. They also contain wide 90° angle lenses and use 3D digital noise reduction (DNR) technology to filter noise from your image (day and night).

I am very satisfied with the product for ease of use and quality. I am a little disappointed that I had one bad camera and when I called for a replacement they said it would take 13 business days to get a replacement. Being a reseller I would like to take better care of my customer then that. The camera only lasted about 5 days after install. I would think they could process a replacement better faster than that. After 5 days of contact with tech support still dont know when camera will ship?

Thank you for your feedback. Our apologies for any inconvenience. We were happy to replace this for you and faster than originally anticipated. We hope the replacement is working well.

Having deployed a few different brand systems (not Lorex), and working in IT for over a decade, it truly is good to see something that really is "plug and play". The hardest part was remembering the color code for RJ45 ends.

From the hardware design of the bullet cameras, the user-centric design in the software of the NVR and the ease to deploy the mobile app I definitely will stick with Lorex from now..it works..end of story !

Excellent IP based camera and NVR system. Upgrading a very old Lorex system. Using standard Cat5/6 cabling -- easy to install and configure. HD resolution blows away our earlier system.

I like the quality of the product. I hired an outside company to install the entire system. For me, it was money well spent. The system works well and is easy to operate. I would absolutely purchase this again.

Since at my home, I installed and am using an ECO2 Lorex System for a number of years, my boss requested my help in selecting and installing a new HD system for our office and storage yard. I picked this system based on price, features and because it would be wired using CAT5E cable. We bought the POE switch for use in a remote out building. The installation was easy since we are an electrical contracting firm. But anyone that is handy with tools should have no trouble installing the componets. These HD camera images are vastly superior to the analog 720 lines of resolution provided by my ECO2 System. Everything works, our IT tech installed the app on my I-Phone, the boss is happy. I only wish I could justify spending the $2,500 to replace my old personal home system with this one, but the old system is still working.
Yes, I recommend LOREX.

Way easier to install than my old analog system. The FLIR Cloud app is a big improvement over the old system where you had to do port forwarding on your router. Picture quality is excellent, as is night vision. The Flir Cloud desktop and mobile apps can be a little flaky at times but work for the most part. Stick-on drill template for the cameras are a great feature.
Suggested improvements:
1) Mobile app should have a button that allows you to disable/enable e-mail alerts. Sometimes I get home from work early and it's a pain when it starts sending me snapshots of myself!
2) Should be able to export NVR configuration to the cloud, as well as to local storage.
3) It would be nice if the mobile app defaulted to HD quality when a single camera is selected (like the desktop app does).

Purchased the 16 camera, 16 channel NVR HD IP system along with two 8 channel POE switches. All but the 8 bullet cameras arrived within 4 days. After waiting 2 weeks contacted Lorex and the cameras finally arrived 10 days later. All of the equipment functioned correctly as delivered. The system was easy to set up and install. Had no need to contact tech support during the install. On a side note, during the install I dropped one of the bullet cameras about 10 feet with it landing on concrete on the metal casing. There was absolutely no damage to the camera and it performed fine. The FLIR Cloud apps were extremely useful in properly aligning the cameras while on the ladder. The color/B&W video images are excellent and I've had no equipment problems at all during the first week of operation. Only real hardware complaint is the cooling fan in the NVR is loud and emits a high pitched squeal. It would be very annoying if located in an area that was frequently used. Still have not tried out all of the software features included in the NVR but so far that have performed okay without any obvious errors.

I'm satisfied with the system and would recommend it to others. It provides good value for the cost.

Hardware and software are great. Easy to install. Tech support is variable depending who you get. Manuals are average and do not include everything you need to know. Wait time for tech support can be long and the on hold music is horrible and very irritating.

This is my first camera security system. I purchased it for my home. I am starting off with, "We Love It." I have many reviews on different camera systems, and different manufacturers, and we decided to go with Lorex.

Now about the system. We went with the IP system because I did not want to have to supply power to each individual camera. The power is provided through the POE in the NVR. All you have to do is run one Cat5e cable from the camera to the NVR.

The cameras provide a fantastic picture quality during the day, and the LED's turn night into day (in grey scale format). The cameras were smaller than I expected thus providing a smaller footprint. Less than a pound! I have cameras pointed due west and no glare from the setting sun.

NVR: The NVR is big, real big. Larger than I expected. As in many other reviews this NVR does have a cooling fan that produces a whine much like a tower on a computer, so don't plan on putting the NVR in your bedroom. The software options and control in the NVR is incredible. You can fine tune the sensitivity of the cameras for "Motion Detection," it will send you emails whenever motion is detected along with a clear photo shot of why it activated! How cool is that? If moving trees or a flag is giving you false "Motion Detection" indication, you can go in and "tweak" the coverage with the software. Never have I seen anything like that. I just love the E-mail option! We travel a lot, so this is just perfect. The Flir Cloud works awesome with this system. They recommend 1Mbs upload, my provider only gets me 0.7 Mbs upload and it still works.

Now for the downside. It only comes with 60' Cat5e cables, I had to purchase some 100' cables to complete my installation. The HDMI cable from the NVR to your monitor is not a high quality! For this expensive of a system, I am sure they could provide a better and longer HDMI cable. The supplied cable is only about 21" long so your monitor would have to be sitting on top of your NVR. I upgraded my HDMI cable immediately. It comes with a mouse, but I purchased a wireless mouse and it worked great. Again don't plan on placing the NVR in a area you will be spending much time in, the sound of the cooling fan might drive you a little goofy. Chances are you are going to want to place your NVR in a location not easily accessible to the bad guys.

I had one camera fail within the first day, contacted customer support and they acted on it quickly arranging a replacement. Out of 16 cameras, that is NOT bad. There was NO wait on the telephone for support.

All in all, we are very happy with our first system. You cannot go wrong.

Just finished with the installation and are very happy with the way the system works. Beautiful picture quality and it's amazing to be able to monitor from my phone.

One camera failed just after install last week and Lorex approved a replacement which we're still waiting to receive. Customer service can keep you on hold for too long, but the folks who answer are polite, helpful and informed. They're worth the wait.

Also note that both the dome and bullet cameras are not made to mount using a standard 1/4-20 thread mount. No adapters were available on the Lorex site, or anywhere. We had to "mfg." adapter discs, but it worked and we were then able to use pendant mounts, etc.

Our set up covered a broad area of our showroom and plant. Because of that, our IT friend recommended sub-grouping 2 groups of 8 cameras using PoE switches and an additional 8 port Ethernet switch to bring it all to the NVR. I know other reviewers have said that setup was a breeze, and if we were connecting single "homeruns" of cable for each camera, it may have been. We're glad we had hired our IT friend to get everything connected and communication - after we did the camera mounting and cable runs in house.

The system works as advertised, i.e., very well. The camera angles are wide and cover large areas. The picture quality is great. We're very happy with the results and would recommend Lorex. They generously offer to extend the basic warranty by 6 months for writing a review. We'd buy the system again. If not for the one dead camera and mounting issues, we'd give it a full 5 stars. You see four, but we're thinking 4.5! Hope this helps.

Great product.
One suggestion is in the packaging.
Instead of coiling the cat5 cable in a 4 inch ball inside the box, include it separately in a larger coil.
I spent more of my time uncoiling the 16 cables and dealing with the small coils than running the cables.

Bought HDIP 1688DW NVR system with 16 cams. Delivery was fast...within 2 weeks. Setup was fairly simple. But if you need phone help FORGET IT. I waited hours....I did finally get help but frustrating;non English speaking....got some issues resolved but took several hours. Ended up resolving everything myself. NOTE: The NVR is VERY NOISY. The fan seem to be the culprit. I researched and it seems that others have reported the same. Whence I have time I intend on calling Loren to see about remedies for fan noise. Camera's are high quality. Great pics. Mobile app for phone is not so good. See reviews on FLIR cloud. Very disappointed that playback fast forward is limited to 4X. Overall I think the plug and play is awesome. If they can resolve the noisy fan. And update the mobile app with better connectivity and more Fast Forward options I would give 5 stars.

Excellent system. Simple to install and configure. Incredibly clear with very short record delay.

Unfortunately they still haven't upgraded from the older FTP file upload system to a cloud based configuration. But no one else has either, so can't hold it against them "yet". (Let's get on that Lorex. Offer Google or Amazon Cloud sync.)

I just completed installing a 16-IP-camera system. It was very simple to install and setup....plug and play! The pictures are very clear and the picture in total darkness is excellent! I had been waiting to purchase an HD system and one that did not have individual power supplies for each camera....PoE solved that issue. I couldn't be happier with this installation!! Thanks Lorex!!

After all the research and reviews I'm very happy I chose the LNR366, I had a little trouble getting the POE switch working but after a phone call with Tech Support it hasn't missed a beat, they are very helpful. I am very pleased an impressed with all the function The system has to offer.

I was skeptical of how well the system would work with the POE cameras. I've been testing for about a week now and have been very impressed with the system. The video quality is crystal clear. The DVR had some great features and I've not found anything malfunctioning so far. I did have a little issue getting the email alerts working - but tech support was very helpful to me resolving the problem. It ended up being a DNS setting on my end. I would recommend this product!

After several attemps to get an estimated delivery date other than partial shipment so I could schedule installation. I received the rest of the shipment and was able to successfully connect up a couple of different cameras to the lorexddns service to test the system. It was relatively simple. I am still waiting to get the product installed around my two story house. I am two old and two heavy to do it myself as I would be putting the ladders though a stress test and that isn't good. I will be purchasing a strong ladder and hire someone to install the system for me, preferably a wiring vendor. If they are two expensive, then I will enlist the help of my sons and neighbor. The lorex system appears to be a very good and reliable system so far as I can tell. I just can't wait until I get the entire system installed and up and running the way it should be.

My system does what I need it to do. Really great video surveillance. Video is sharp, and night vision is also very good. A little bit tricky getting remote vision set up. But once it's done, it's good.

Purchased a LNR366 for the business and wow nice video and ease of use. I also purchased one for the house and they work beautiful! The only thing I would recommend is to have more ports to feed the NVR to the additional Lorex switch this way you would have to buy additional equipment, other than that works great! Thanks!

this model has no motor inside the camera to turn it around , the quality of image is Great the speed of playback is not good and not too many option when you use your internet to watch the cameras on your computer there is a delay between 10 sec to 2 Minutes sometimes. its so funny when you see some one is already upstairs but you can see him in monitor walking down there! overall I like the whole system

This is one of Lorex's better products. I have bought 5 other Lorex security systems for other locations and this one is the best. Being able to use Cat 5 cable and being able to repair broken ends and cables is a huge advantage. The set up for remote viewing was easy and worked very well even with a very poor internet connection at the location.

I could not be happier with my purchase of the LNR366; really great system and installation was a breeze. The video clarity is amazing. You do not need any technical help, the operating system does all the work. After a good 6 months of research and price comparisons, no other option compared to this system. The Plug and Play configuration made the instillation very simple. I set up sixteen 1080p HD Day/Night cameras and everything worked correctly the first time. I can watch live or recorded video from my phone, iPad, or computer. Overall it's an excellent security system, I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in quality surveillance.

We have been pleased with Lorex surveillance systems in the past. This is our first IP based system though. The instructions are very simple but the actual setup was not as simple and required some deeper digging to get everything working correctly. After several phone calls and extra time spent on the system we finally have all the cameras working.

Working as a Maintenance Supervisor for an 88,000 SQFT manufacturing facility we had the need to implement improvements in our building security. At the point where it was decided that we would purchase a security camera system, I immediately thought of Lorex. I had no problem recommending Lorex to senior managers since I had helped a friend years earlier install a small Lorex camera system in a family owned restaurant that worked great. Selecting the combination LNR366 Series NVR with 16 Camera PoE system just made sense. If we had gone wireless we would have still had to run power to all the remote locations. With 32 ft high ceilings it was much easier to just run the network cabling to each selected camera location. Connecting the cameras was easy and the images were truly spectacular. Not a negative but something to plan for was the increase in Network traffic that these HD cameras will add to your network. We eventually plan on creating its own managed network with its own internet connection for remote viewing. We would definitely purchase this again and other company locations are looking at Lorex systems as well. It is a fantastic value for the advanced features the system has to offer. Download the manual for this system and you will be impressed with the capabilities and it works as written.

Well, so far the system does what it is supposed to do. I received one camera that was DOA. Replacement unit works fine. Overall, I am pleased. I hope this will be my continued opinion with the Lorex LNR366 for a long time. On another note, the "Customer Service" side of Lorextechnology.com is really something to to be considered as a oxymoron as far as response time for any inquires for anything. Hope nobody needs to go through the torturous waiting times on the phone. Thanks for reading this.

I purchase a LH 15600o. At the time of purchase I was told this is one of the best system they have. For the past 3 months the system has been rebooting itself several times throughout the day. The product is less than a year old and I have been through 3 other DVR.I made several attempt to contact Technical support. I have been kept on the line for 45mins to 11/2hour waiting.

Getting connected couldn't be easier. My last system required me to port map and all that. This was painless. I still haven't completely set everything up yet, since I am in the process of hooking up the system by myself, but so far, so good. The software seems pretty sophisticated. I'd like to know if there was a way to limit certain users to certain cameras in the system (?) I'll have to look it up.

Started out with a analog security system about 4 years ago, very difficult to install plus setting up the software was a nightmare, on top of all that the picture quality was not very clear but HD systems were way out of reach $$$$. Today I have a LOREX HD 16 IP Cameras system install in place of my old analog system, Loving the PoE (power over ethernet) no more separate powder cable to each camera. Cameras themselves were extremely easy to install, l did not have to worry about separate adjustments on each camera (OSD configuration) it was all done at the Lorex NVR. Standing on a ladder and trying to make these adjustments is not fun at all. The 1080P HD output using HDMI on a 32" HD LG "beautiful pictures"!! I know I will be able to identify what I have recorded then what I've seen on the news... can you identify this person and all you see is a blur. Very happy with my new system. The LOREX software was extremely easy to set up on all 8 of my cameras. The only issue I have is with the night vision, after about 15-20 ft. which is very clear the clarity of the picture becomes very grainy. 150ft. Night Vision is not a good statement, you might be able to see that far but you won't be able to make out what it is. I would highly recommend this system

I hired a security company to install a complete 8 camera system. After spending $3000.00, 3 weeks of the no-name brand not working properly plus making call after call to get the system repaired, I was total unhappy with the system and told them to to take the system out. I Looked online and comparing Cameras and systems for a couple of weeks and still kept coming back to Lorex. I called the sales team up and told them what I was looking for and within 10 min. on the phone I had ordered a 12 camera system with higher resolution and a larger 3 TB storage capacity for less money. The sale team said "it would take about 2 weeks to be delivered, but I recieved the system in 4 days. I have to admit that I thought Installation was going to be to be hard, but the Plug and Play made the job so easy. I installed 12 cameras using the 100' pre-connected cat 5 cables and got everything working right the first time. Thank you Lorex for a GREAT SYSTEM!!!!!!

I had been searching the Internet for a security camera system for some time and came across the Lorex LNR363 last winter. I purchased it on sale in April and have been very happy with the product thus far. The IP cameras with PoE and 1080P quality were exactly what I was looking for. I received the product after a few weeks because of a demand and supply issue. Lorex customer support was very helpful with respect to keeping me in the loop and expediting the product as soon as possible. As a result of my busy work schedule, I hadn?t had a chance to begin the installation until a week ago. Truth be told I was also slightly hesitant anticipating that the installation would be more difficult than described. I was pleasantly surprised that this model is truly a plug and play. With the exception of running the Ethernet cables to the desired camera locations, I had the system up and running in about 5 minutes. My computers are completely Mac and the Lorex LNR363 works extremely well on my iMac as well as my iPhones. The Stratus Connectivity was seamless and the quality of the images of the cameras in both light and dark scenarios is phenomenal. My installation is a work in progress, but an enjoyable one at that. I would not hesitate recommending this system and I am very pleased with the product thus far. Below are a few suggestions for Lorex to consider to make an excellent product even better: 1. Both the bullet and dome cameras appear to be well made and are rated for both indoors and out. Mounting the bullet cameras on interior drywall is simple however the present mounting system is not ideal for external brick. I am having to mount the bullet cameras to waterproof PVC conduit boxes that are themselves mounted to the brick. The Ethernet connections are occurring within the conduit boxes (protected from the elements) with the CAT 6 cable then passing out of the PVC boxes through similar conduits and later passing through the brick into the home to the NVR. It would be great if Lorex provided/sold a specific waterproof housing for such a connection. The existing Ethernet Keystone Jack and short lead cable from the camera does not make it feasible to pass this through a 1? hole in the brick with the three mounting screws about 8mm away from hole edge. 2. The ability to add a PTZ camera to the NVR would be a welcomed addition. I noticed that Lorex makes such cameras and that the Stratus Connectivity has the icon to control a PTZ camera yet such cameras are not compatible with the NVR at present. Overall, I am very happy with the product and amazed at how easy it was to get the software up and running.

I bought this system for my new business. It is worth the money we paid. It is a great but simple system. It does not require DDNS account. The set up was very easy. Comes with 16 cameras. 6 of them are dome cameras. It has capacity of 3 TB. Working great. Easy local and remote set up. Able to be viewed in i phone and other phones. Easy playback and storage. I would definitely buy the same product in future when needed.

I am very impressed by the overall system. The HD video quality is excellent. It is far superior to other systems I have owned and seen. The user interface is highly intuitive and the ability to have web access from anywhere is terrific. The system was also very easy to set up and get working (all 16 cameras!). I have had an issue with the PoE switch malfunctioning but customer service was very quick to replace it.

Could not be any happier with my purchase !!!!! Really great system and install is a breeze. Cameras are not just your typical camera. the clarity is amazing you can see the yellow beak of a small bird on my front lawn within minutes of install. You do not need any technical help because the stratus system does all the work. Based on a good 6 months of research and price quotes Nothing comes close to what the system offers . 16 cameras 1080p hd day Night nvr recorder Poe switch 100 ft of cat 5 wire which the cameras work off of (power over Ethernet ). What more could you ask for. O wait. I can watch my house from my phone I pad or work computer and zoom in on live or recorded video. Great job by lorex !!!!!! A system that anybody could install and use.

I took a great deal of time researching my options regarding a home surveillance system. After reading reviews on the system that I purchased I was able to select the proper system for my home. The 1080 cameras were important because of the clarity and amount of memory was the deciding point with my purchase. I was delighted to find out that after my purchase I received such excellent service from customer service with the staff having a pleasant approach to customer service. I am finding out that a Canadian company might have a leg up on American companies in regards to product and service.

We reviewed a number of competitive products before reading about the LNR366. Nothing else came close for the investment. Our experience was like other reviewers. Truly plug and play. We had a camera up and running within minutes of opening the box. The image quality of the 1080p cameras is excellent night and day. Customer service was readily available and quickly answered questions. Definitely the best we found in a comparable price range.

Great system. The best feature is the remote viewing. I can see my business anywhere and anytime. It has come in handy many times already in less than a month. High definition gives you the ability to identify people and cars in great detail. The word is out do not mess with my business. A significant investment but well worth it. Easy to install, easy to set up working in a day.

The system with 16 POE cameras and NVR is defiantly the best value around. It has many good, useful features. The sensitive motion detection, adequate viewing area, HD quality, and great vision, day or night, is fantastic. The simple ?plug and play? setup, combined with 3 step internet process could not be any easier. The POE system allows 8 cameras to be in one part of the building and the other 8 cameras up to a couple hundred feet away in another part of the building: saving install time by not running so many cables. With each camera having its power feed from the Cat5e cable, the need for separate power lines is eliminated. The technology of today allows off-site viewing with smart devices anywhere there is connectivity. Ordering was painless, arrived in just two days, and packed very well. Instructional start-up material is very simple, and online video is a plus.
