2K resolution - 2 x 1080p

1080p security cameras use a 1920 × 1080 pixel ratio. That is a total of 2,073,600 pixels. 2K security cameras use a pixel ratio of 2688 × 1520, totaling 4,085,760 active pixels. That is double the resolution of 1080p. This higher pixel count will provide you with sharper and more vivid video, as well as an increased ability to zoom in on distant objects.

30 frames per second recording

Your cameras can be programmed to record 2K video (dome cameras only) at 20 frames per second (FPS) or 1080p HD video at a real-time 30 FPS. Both of these high frame rates will provide you with smooth on-screen movement during live views or playback. A 30 FPS recording rate will also help you pause on the exact moment you need should you ever need to use the footage as evidence. This is because there are simply more frames available to choose from within each and every second.

High Dynamic Range

Your dome and both sets of PTZ security cameras utilize a True High Dynamic Range (HDR) feature that will help improve video clarity in high-contrast lighting. It uses the difference between the darkest and lightest areas of the video to automatically adjust the picture's brightness, resulting in optimized, highly-detailed security video in all lighting conditions.

DNR - Digital Noise Reduction

DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) technology is used by your security cameras to filter out noise (grain) from low-light settings, as well as any noise caused by motion. This provides you with a cleaner, more accurate image with better clarity, sharpness, and improved motion detection. It will also help reduce video file sizes as well, which will save you storage space on your NVR.

Full color night vision

With most cameras there is usually an automatic shift from full color to black and white when lighting conditions change at night. These black and white infrared images ensured the maximum level of detail and clarity in low-light conditions. The LNE4422 dome security camera, on the other hand, takes this night vision to a whole new level with color night vision. This feature will:

  • Produce full color video, even in low-light conditions.*
  • Provide a further level of detail (the color of clothes or cars, for example).
  • Add increased contrast for easier detection and recognition of people and objects.

*Please note that ambient lighting is needed for full color night vision. The image will typically switch to black and white infrared in total darkness to ensure maximum quality night vision.

Every camera in this system only requires a single Ethernet cable connection. This all-in-one Ethernet cable provides everything you need thanks to Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology. Simply click the included CAT5e cable into the camera and NVR and your camera will be ready to go. Not only will PoE cabling save you time and money on installation, it will also:

  • Provide power to the camera.

Different recording options to suit your needs

Not all of your cameras have to record all of the time. Although this is a good idea for high traffic areas, you can save plenty of hard drive space by programming select cameras to only record during scheduled times or only when movement is detected. It is important to note that motion recordings include a pre-recording function that will record the five seconds before the movement is detected. This ensures that you will never miss those first few vital moments of movement.

2. Requires a high speed internet connection and a router (not included). A minimum upload speed of 3.5Mbps is required for the best video performance. 3. Recording time may vary based on recording resolution & quality, lighting conditions and movement in the scene.

5. Mirror recording requires a second hard drive (not included) to be installed in the NVR. Mirrored hard drive must be as large or larger than the primary hard drive to backup all recordings. Backup begins from when the mirrored hard drive is installed and configured.
6. Both firmware and software must be updated to latest version to ensure remote connectivity. Firmware updates are pushed to the NVR automatically over the Internet (available at www.lorextechnology.com). Always update to the latest software after upgrading the NVR firmware.

Instruction Manual

1. Compatible with Lorex HD NVR LNR100 / LNR400 / LNR500 Series only.
2. This camera features an ultra-low light sensitive image sensor and therefore does not feature Infra-Red LEDs. The camera requires ambient lighting (for example, street/building lighting, star or moon light) to render a night time image. In total darkness (zero Lux) the camera will not produce a night time image and therefore the camera should not be installed in areas with complete darkness.
3. Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered location recommended.
