Digital security monitoring in 2K resolution

2K quality can be the difference you need when identifying important details such as facial features or license plate digits. Our LNB4321B and LNE4322B 2K IP cameras can record footage at 20 frames-per-second. This makes certain that the on-screen movement in your footage will be exceptionally smooth. Their 3D digital noise reduction (DNR) technology filters out noise for a cleaner, more accurate image. They also utilize wide angle 90° lenses to provide you with a broad field of view.

2K (4 megapixel) network security monitoring

2K resolution vs. 1080p resolution

1080p security cameras use a 1920 x 1080 pixel ratio. That is a total of 2,073,600 pixels. 2K security cameras, other the hand, use a pixel ratio of 2688 x 1520, totaling 4,085,760 active pixels. That is double the resolution of 1080p. This higher resolution will provide you with more details and clarity, not to mention an increased ability to zoom in on distant objects without drastically reducing image quality.

PoE technology for plug-and-play installation

As a Do-It-Yourself security camera company, Lorex is proud to provide customers with security systems that feature easy-to-install set-ups. The HDIP844D web exclusive bundle is no exception. Your 2K security system will be up and running in minutes with its straightforward plug-and-play structure. Each IP camera needs only a single cable run to connect to your NVR camera thanks to power-over-ethernet technology. This all-in-one cable provides both power and video transmission up to 300ft / 91m (click here to purchase extension cables). A digital IP system like this can incorporate a PoE switch. This switch can extend and minimize the amount of cabling required for larger properties.

Fast shipping, installed this system over a weekend. Daytime camera resolution is outstanding! Both some and bullet camera offer wide angle viewing. The color night vision is not quite what I expected, but it is still good. The camera definitely stays in color longer than other systems as night approaches however you must have a lot of lighting to make it stay in color. Advertisment says it stays on in light higher than 1 lux (full moon light) and that is just not the case. All in all a great system

I have this system for almost a year now and it works great. One problem I had recently was lost connectivity to FLIR Cloud all of a sudden but support was able to help get it working again. Had to reset network connectivity on the NVR itself. I am not able to register for DDNS on Lorex website as it stating incorrect sub domain even after trying what their site suggested...

I am a long time Lorex user. The last system I had was the 8 channel LNR382 NVR system. I got it Dec 2013 and it worked just fine until July 2016 when connectivity to my iPhone just suddenly ceased. Lorex tech support spent hours (over a 4 week period) trying to figure out the problem (port forwarding, ISP, software, router, etc were all just fine). Bottom line: Lorex ceased support for these older NVRs and the software is not being kept up-to-date. So…..I had to bite the bullet and get a completely new current generation NVR system that supports the new Flir Cloud technology, that has no connectivity issues to iOS devices. I got it and had the 8 new cameras and NVR hooked up quickly (my existing ethernet cables were already in place), and the basic NVR functions went very smoothly. The menu structure has improved (although, as a Mac user, this software is definitely ported over from a Windows or Android app). Obviously, this new system has the newer 2K cameras (vs my older 1080p cams), and the higher resolution is stunning. Now, my iPhone Lorex App not only works, but now the cameras pop up MUCH faster than the original app of several years ago. This new app also has many new features. Set up of the Flir Cloud app on the iPhone was very easy… no port forwarding or other issues! I have also set this up on two iPads and the wife’s iPhone. Additionally, I have the Mac client app, and have that on three Macs that we own, and this app works great. The Mac client app is where you can “see” the full resolution of these 2K cams. Overall this new system is a quantum leap over the previous generation Lorex NVRs. Supposedly this system will get the new Flir Cloud firmware update soon, that will add many more new features. My only complaint is that the playback and downloading of video files is not very intuitive, and you have to really work at it to get it accomplished, to get a playable and readable file on your hard drive (to send to the police, etc.).

I needed to upgrade my surveillance system from an old 704x480 tube TV era setup. I purchased HDIP844DW, a 2K camera system online. The box arrived and looked beat up a bit but the cameras where well packed and protected. The system was easy to install for me. Since it is a IP cam system there are no annoying transformers and it looks a little neater. I wish this package had a varifocal cam in the mix of 4 bullets and 4 domes. The quality of the equipment is excellent as expected from Lorex/Flir. The video image is crisp and clear I can see so much more than my old tube era system. The Flir cloud app is sweet for the tablet and phone. The PC client is just OK your forced to look at controls you may never use. It would be nice to be able to hide the PTZ controls I will never have. I am curious as to why the NVR label on the bottom states the resolution is 1080p when there are 2K cameras. The port forwarding tool was a nice find that made setup a little easier. The fact that the forced new admin password upon initial login can only be 6 characters seems kind of weak, password wise. Wish it worked with the Google Chrome. Overall I am happy I upgraded to something more up to date.

I bought the Loren IP HD 8 channel NVR. The picture quality is awesome. A friend of mine manages his companies security systems. They use Panasonic camera commercial cameras that cost 10x more than Lorex, and he was impressed with the HD picture of my Lorex system.

There are some issues I'm dealing with getting email alerts working again. It had been working for months. Then I most to another ISP and email alerts are work sometimes. I'm still trying to pinpoint what's going on.

Thank you for your feedback. Our technical support team will be happy to assist you with this. Please call us at 1-877-755-6739.

So far so good. The product was delivered ahead of schedule (A+) setup was friendly and the issues I had were handle quickly by the customers service reps. I have had a few cameras drop offline and need to be refreshed? I have yet to call in and ask the customer service reps about this yet. Happy with my purchase, thieves BEWARE!!!!

Happy with the quality of picture both day/night time. Installation was a chore since I had to route the cables, but worth the effort. It would have been nice if there was some info on the plug connectors in the box. After cutting the cable ends and manipulating the parts I was able to figure it out. I'm still working with the NVR, but it seems to be easy to use. I had one camera that had a faulty plug, which I am currently working with Lorex to replace. Registering for warranty was a little tricky.

Overall, it's an excellent system. I've had it running for two months now. Installation and camera resolution are simple and fantastic. I bought and installed a POE switch in the garage to limit cable work in the walls while also taking the opportunity to provide fast ethernet connections to our computers in the office at the same time. I bought extra CAT6 cabling and crimping tools/connectors; cutting the connectors off the provided cables makes for easier installation through smaller holes. It's very easy to crimp your own connectors back on to cable lengths cut to the length you need.

The interface is a bit challenging. I bought this so my wife and I could turn the motion detection on to send alerts to our phones. The only way to turn it on and off is at the NVR itself or on an actual computer - with the Lorex Plugin loaded on Internet Explorer (not the new MS Edge which replaced IE in the Windows 10 Update) . Because of where I work, I cannot upload the Lorex Plugin on IE. Worse, the motion alerts cannot be switched on with the iPhone or iPad apps. You can view the cameras on the app live and, with a little cumbersome effort, stream playback, but you can't turn the alerts on and off like an alarm system after you leave the house or before you return. I think Lorex needs to fix that.

Camera sensitivity is hard to gauge for what you need. Despite tweaking, mine still gets thrown off by the weather, but it's pretty good.

Lorex customer service was also very good. Both times I called, they were very responsive and very helpful.

I think this is an excellent system but the software for the remote interface needs to be updated. (When it does, I'll change my review to 5-stars!)

Installation was simple as it was pretty much plug and play. I did end up purchasing my own Ethernet cables as they were going to be run in the attic and walls and I wasn't completely sure of the quality of the cables supplied. The supplied cables may have worked fine but I just preferred to go with higher quality cables. Picture quality looks really good in both day and night and I like the feature of viewing remotely from my phone. I needed assistance with configuring the phone app and Lorex Customer Service was excellent.

bought the 8 camera POE system. Setting it up is easy and straight forward. Had a problem with the NVR. Contacted tech support and they determined that I had a bad port on the NVR. Worked with customer support to get a replacement unit, This took a couple phone calls and emails but get a replacement unit. The system has many advanced features that you can customize for you needs. Great system once I got all the issues with the bad NVR resolved. I would give it a 5 star if I had not had the issues with customer support.

System has been setup for about 1 week so far. Very nice! Love the color at night. Easy to install and get connected via internet. This is my second purchase from Lorex. I am not crazy about the onscreen menu especially using it with the remote. But, I must admit, I haven't spent much time reading the manual either. I would recommend this system.
