1. Wireless monitor must be docked in the Wi-Fi charging cradle to enable remote connectivity. The charging cradle must be connected to a router using a wired or Wi-Fi connection. Selectable single camera viewing over the internet. See iOS/Android Apps and internet connection requirements below.
2. Scheduled and motion recording are paused during remote viewing over the internet. Manual recording is cancelled. microSD memory card sold separately.
3. Useful for tracking single objects only.
4. Stated IR illumination range is based on ideal conditions in total darkness. Actual range and image clarity depends on installation location, viewing area and light reflection/absorption level of object.
5. Battery life: Up to 5hrs for monitor in power save (scan) mode, 3.5hrs in regular viewing mode.

I wish we had not bought this set up.
The App support is not there. Lorex seems to have moved on with other products, so the App (Android) was last updated in 2013. What this means is phones released after that will not work with the App.

Also, after only a few month, our battery expanded. Looked like it was going to explode. This caused the cradle to only work when plugged in. It took several months for Customer service to actually respond to me and when they finally did, they said I would get a new monitor/cradle. What I got instead was a replacement battery. This only lasted a few months and again, it has expanded. It seems they have other products they'd rather you buy instead of taking care of the products that they actually sold you in the first place. Engineered obsolescence.

We have had this monitor for about 10 months and if I could go back I would have purchased from another company. Our battery does not hold a charge at all and has to be plugged in at all times to view our child. I have contacted customer service several times with no response and/ or no one answering the phone to resolve our battery issues.

Do not buy this product. Go to another company with good customer service.

Got this a year ago here are my findings as of today (march 2015)

battery doesn't hold charge, got my 2nd battery already dying on me. Last a bit longer than the first but not quite the 5 hours advertised... I'd say about 3 hours at this point since last battery change (6mo)

No iOS 8 app yet! they don't have any update on it and they don't know squat about when it will be released. It's the only camera in their active lineup to not have an iOS 8 app. It says "coming soon" but that was back Dec 2014

If you bought the wifi craddle with it you are out of luck if you have an iPhone with iOS 8. I suppose the Android counterpart works but I can't verify this.

All in all, it works but there are some flaws in keeping this product useful in the long run.

Great product.

I am blessed with the honor to care for my cousin whom is at the wonderful age of 108 years young soon to be 109 years young in January of 2015. This monitor provides peace of mind at night and during the day as she goes threw her daily routine. Being able to keep an eye on her by myself and other family members keeps her independent and all of us happy. I planned to purchase more cameras but due to the small problem informed by the Tech. staff who will provide a replacement model which should give same great viewing, I will add on to the new model with more cameras. And will give reviews on that model. Would give 5 stars but small problem that is being corrected exists.

Can't stand this product. Horrible customer service.
Purchased a different baby monitor and 2 pan tilt zoom cameras. Received this monitor instead. Called in to discuss problems and the line "got cut off" 2 separate times. After they hung up on me, they never called me back.
Monitor screen randomly goes black when camera picks up feed in one room but works when the second camera switches to the other room. Sound stops working on occasion or produces horrible static feedback and don't get me started on the picture quality. Have 2 other cheap monitors with better picture quality. The wifi has amazing picture quality on my iPhone but can't even make out the shape of my children in bed on the Lorex monitor. Can't see any detail, picture is foggy, not bright, not crips, extremely blurry. Can't stand it, will return it.
Would definitely advise you not to buy this. Would also advise Lorex to provide better training to their staff. Been trying to get help for over a month. Takes forever to speak to anyone and then they just create ticket numbers and pass you on to somebody else because nobody seems to have any authority or knowledge to help.
Would not recommend Lorex products to anyone. Wish I could give no stars. Only good feature is pan tilt zoom camera.

I am very happy with the LW3451X system. It lets me remotely monitor my vacation home via the internet. I can access and redirect the camera from my tablet and smart phone, and it transmits color during the day and black and white at night, when the house is dark. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

Cold, dead fingers.

After receiving this product and setting it up, my wife fell in love. We have since questioned why we stuck with the old fashioned audio monitors for so long. Long before you can hear an issue with our toddler's sleep being interrupted, you can see it with the night vision. He is 3 and has a variety of sleep issues. If you can catch it early enough, you can intervene and he has a fighting chance of sleeping through the night.

After having this system in our house for 3 days, my wife said that if someone said we had to go back to the old style monitors, they would have to pry this system out of her cold, dead fingers.

Add to that, the ability to connect via smart-phone when we are outside the house. That is just the icing on the cake.

Setup was straight-forward and the system was up and running within 30 minutes.

1) The way we use the monitor leaves it off the base for more than 3 hours at a time. We are ordering a power adapter just for the monitor so it doesn't have to be on the base.
2) Setting up DDNS is not possible, but I believe this is due to our ISP, not the device.

we bought this camera to use as a baby monitor we were unable to use the wireless on our phones because we can't hook it up due to the fact that we have Verizon jetpack and there's no Ethernet cable hookup but the monitor seems to work good in our home so far, just wish we were able to get around hooking up to wireless without using the ethernet cord

Set this up yesterday. Got it to watch puppies when we're out. Does exactly what it's supposed to do and does it well (at a reasonable price compared to other camera's on the market . Panning is easy, picture is great (adjustable picture quality to help when viewing remotely) and the night vision is surprisingly good! This unit works so well I decided to use it for some security as well. I just ordered (2) more camera's (can get up to (4)) to cover more area's. The IOS app is pretty plain with not many options but you can maneuver the panning and picture and sound is good. I would recommend this for home monitoring and/or security I would have marked 5 stars if not for the plain IOS app.

My husband & I purchased this model LW3451X and was a snap with setup. Was very impressed. Then once we were online on our cell phones for a few minutes, we lost connection and kept having problems so we returned it to the store and they gave us another new boxed unit. Got it home, this time could not get the wireless to install for 2 days so once again returned it to the store and they did another exchange. This 3rd unit everything worked again with set up and no problems with wireless and very clear picture but this time the panning would not work. We returned this 3rd unit for FULL REFUND. Will look for a different model

Warranty is conditional and difficult to procure. Customer service is should be customer non- service. Tech support Is not able to answer what the service port on the receiver does.
Spent one hour of my time to be transferred and not helped. the camera was fine until it stopped recording . i tried different sd cards and got the same results . i am very unhappy with the support i received and have to purchase warranty support on a device i got 4 months ago.
Be sure and register any device that you purchase and have proof of purchase. Do not give this device as a gift as it can not be validated with out the proof of purchase. You will not get American support staff sounds like India has the personal for tech support and customer support. So jobs for Americans is also a problem for this company. I am going to spend as much time as i can out on scam sites and other web venues to express my dissatisfaction.

If I could give this less than a star I would. This is absolutely the worst product I have ever bought in my life. It has a fantastic concept - if it worked! The product is easy to install and the picture is decent. After about a week of use the camera stopped panning and the iPhone app quit working. I spent an hour and 20 minutes on the phone on HOLD waiting for tech support. The person that finally answered couldn't help me but told me to call back. I filled out the request form to have someone call me (It does say it can take 48 hours) on November 6.

I bought this camera after the FOSCAM hacking problems, to replace the FOSCAMS we were using as a baby monitor. We bought one set to try it out, and planned on buying another camera or maybe a second set, as we have two daughters. However, the remote viewing feature is not working. It connects for (at the most) four minutes, then cannot find the camera. We bought this monitor so that my husband can peek in on the kids while working. Obviously, I would have bought a cheaper monitor that does not boast remote viewing.
