I just installed an additional 2 outdoor Flir Fx. I had one running for 6 months as a trial test before the added purchase. Good wifi signal is a must. If your phone or mobile device does not have full bars at the location where the camera is placed, invest in Netgear extenders in your home. The camera image in HD mode and wide angle is fine in the day. Night vision can be difficult to see objects clearly that are 15' plus away, also it depends on ambient light in the area the camera is viewing. If needed, lights should be added in the area. I have been pleased with the images that I require for surveillance. Software, functionality for camera usage has all the basics. Easy to use. One issue that I constantly have is automatic triggers. For outdoor use, shadows from time of day, wind, and night vision versus day, the software will record unnecessarily. The software has 'smart zone' which helps, but trying to stop the excessive amount of triggers limits your surveillance area. I recommend that Flir Lorex add to 'smart zone' the capability for three independent zones and times of day per camera.
