This NVR also supports Lorex Active Deterrence security cameras, which can stop potential events from happening thanks to their bright LED light and remote-triggered siren. Setup is quick and easy as well. The NVR's Power over Ethernet ports make setup quick and easy, with one cable installation per camera that provides both power and HD video.

Record smooth 4K video in real-time (30 frames per second) on all 8 channels (8MP security cameras required). 4K resolution (3840 × 2160) compared to 1080p resolution (1920 × 1080) will provide you with a new level of detail and clarity. This higher pixel count also adds an increased ability to digitally zoom in on distant objects without significant image quality reduction. This means that 4K resolution will offer you the best chance to capture useful evidence such as distinct facial features if an incident occurs.

Lorex Client 13 gives you access to your security system and its settings over the Internet using a PC or Mac computer. With this software, you will be able to view live and recorded video, as well as save manual recordings and snapshots to your computer's hard drive. Continuous, scheduled, and motion recording options

This NVR can record footage continuously, during scheduled times, or when movement is detected. These recording modes can be customized with each camera as well. A 5 second pre-recording function is also built-in for motion recordings. This means that you will never miss those first few vital moments of movement.

This NVR is able to receive HEVC (High Efficiency Video Encoding) or H.265 video compression files. This type of encoding can save up to 40% more space when compared to H.264 Advanced Video Coding. 1. 8MP/4K IP cameras are required to take advantage of 4K recording. Compatible with Lorex LKB/LKE series PoE HD IP cameras only. For a list of compatible cameras, please visit www.lorex.com/compatibility
2. Requires a high speed internet connection and a router (not included). A minimum upload speed of 3.5Mbps is required for the best video performance. 3. Recording time may vary based on recording resolution & quality, lighting conditions and movement in the scene.
