I did receive this product when I ordered it, and it works. But under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you ever order anything from this website. If a product is on back order they WILL NOT TELL YOU! :/ How does this company get away with forcing their customers to pay them for false information? Then offer you NOTHING? No estimated time for arrival, no offer of a refund, NOTHING. I'm so upset by the lack of service provided that I'm doing everything I can to warn people away from this service. Save yourself, and buy from some other company! It isn't worth the hassle!

Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused, we had an unexpected back order.

Very easy to set up and great picture even at night. I would recommend a signal booster if you are installing on the opposite side of your home. Signal is weak when passing through cinderblock walls.

it was super easy to set up these camera. They paired with no problem whatsoever. we already had 4 others, and added those to our system. Everybody can set them up, great pic for wireless cameras, and great night vision. Going to order another pair, for our system.

Received a three level upgrade with the receiver/dvd recorder great picture with the wireless cameras even at night. I am not tech savvy so recording functions were a bit difficult on-line tech support is good...but when the recording says 45 minutes it is not a minute less. One camera expired just a year after purchase...but it's an outside camera exposed to the elements. I plan to but two more cameras and receiver as a back up. The camera is set for the driveway but I can tell the make and color of a car on the road 1/4 mile away.

Best thing about Lorex has been customer service! Had a different camera go out and they replaced it asap! Entered the wrong password several times to the dvr and again customer service was extremely helpful correcting my error. The security cameras and system have worked great. The apps do need more finish work to make them better.

I just installed these about 1 month ago. Working fine right now. One of them looked like it has something on the lens. It is fine during the day but at night there is a faint ring around the lens. I will take the glass cover off and clean it inside and out. I hope that fixes it.

We have had a wireless security system for 3+ years now. These are the third set of cameras we have purchased from Lorex. Each set was an improvement over the last.
This set is by far the best and well worth the money. I know they are pricey!
The picture is clear, even at nightand much better than the other wireless cameras which we are still using. The added feature of the cameras reconnecting when the signal is lost is a great new feature. they hooked right up! no problems with "pairing". Still a clear picture from
about 250/ 300 feet away with buildings between!

I bought these cameras first of all because I was familliar with the Lorex name, I recentley remodeled my house and prewired it for cameras, unfortunatly two of the runs of cable in the wall were apparently damaged by sheetrock nails or they just had bad sections in them so I had no way of hooking wire up to them thats where these cameras came in I did my research and found that the lorex cameras have a good rep. so I bought this set and I am not dissappointed they hooked up easily and were imediatly by my computer and the picture is awsome they work great. Thank you Lorex!!!!

Installed top left of 2 story house. Reciever/Dvr is opposite side lower aft corner. Basically transmitting thru a large house. Reception signal is full almost constantly. Have a Dvr from another boxed set w/4 cameras and didnt feel like running the signal cables. The camera is about 30 ft above/right of front door / driveway. Fov allows me to see all the way to the street to the door in daytime. Nights not so much, although the area illuminated by the led 's is the primary area I wished to observe. About a 20-23 ft circle is very well illuninated, the the rest of the visible daytime area is black. I believe an identification of an individual could be positively confirme from the quality of the image. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is durability. The crimped mount spins where it shouldnt. Will update if any issues arise

I was skeptical about the LW2281. Was it really that easy to install and what about the picture quality? I needed additional cams, so I ordered this one. Delivery was faster than promised, which in this case was a good thing.
The installation was easy and quicker than I thought - would only do wireless again!-
No problem with wireless reception through several walls/floors.
Picture quality is better than the wired cameras, which came with the monitor originally - way back.
Too bad, that the prices are a bit on the high side, therefore I hope the product will be working flawlessly for a long time to come!
A word about customer service: if you call because of information about a product you would like to purchase, it's a very friendly and knowledgeable call --- but if the call is about help/information for a product you bought already, customer service does not earn the wording "service". Please improve. Thanks.

Seems like everyone is jumping on the security camera idea. I just upgraded to these in 2 locations that were having some trouble with reception and reset......all I can say is these are excellent, took 10 minutes to install, great clarity, the auto reset keeps me off the 20 ft. ladder ! I have them connected to a Q-see DVR monitor, they are on my laptop and cell phone for remote viewing anywhere in the world. Gave my older model wireless to my son to place anywhere he wants on his RV while camping.

I installed (2) 2281 cameras to replace the 2100 cameras that were unreliable. The 2281 is a much better camera, it appears to be sealed and suited of outdoor applications and the picture quality (frame rate) is much better than the 2100. I replaced the stock antenna with a +7db directional antenna and the link is quite reliable. I don't know how well the link reestablish feature works as I am not seeing the link drop (from the standpoint of the signal strength meter - 3 or 4 bars always.)

The issue that I have had with the 2281(s) is that they radiate out of spectrum. The rf link operates at 2.4 ghz, but the cameras radiate in the 300 Mhz range and that interferes with my garage door openers. It is not the rf link as I removed that antennas and the problem persisted - I was able to prove that it is the camera enclosure/power distribution. I had to do some interesting rf work (did not modify the camera in any way) to prevent the interference. I believe that Lorex really needs to modify the design of the cameras to deal with this issue...not sure how they could have passed FCC.

So, pluses and minuses:

+ High picture quality
+ Decent IR performance
+ Rugged/sealed camera enclosure (suitable for outside applications)
+ Simple installation
+ Reliable rf link

- Out of band radiated and conducted emissions (interferes with garage door openers)
- Cameras are a bit pricy
- Horrible technical support (not a clue or interest in helping)

For the past six months I've had an 8-camera Lorex DVR home system with 4 hard wired cameras and two wireless cameras covering the outside of my property. I decided to purchase two more wireless cameras to fill the two empty video hookups. After the positive experience I've had with this system and tech support from Lorex, I chose to stay with their wireless cameras. I added them to my system today. Installation was a snap. Directions are hardly needed. Picture quality is above average and coverage is very good. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. If asked, I would whole heartedly recommend them to friends or family.

Best surveillance camera for the home that I have found for indoor and/or outdoor...wireless or not (but wireless is soooo much easier!) My camera is just over 100ft from my DVR, and I have 2~3 (varies) out of 4 connectivity bars shown on the screen. Very easy to set up...I didn't even need the instructions. Just plug one of the two provided 12v power supplies (both exactly the same) into the camera, the other into the receiver. Plug those power supplies into your available AC supply, then plug the receiver's video and audio RCA connectors into your TV or DVR, and you're done! The only reason I didn't give this camera 5 stars is because it needs a zoom...but no camera in this price range yet provides one. Hope that changes soon...I will be the first to get one (or more!)

After a break-in of my car I needed something that would help me keep an eye on my car. However, living in an apartment, I cannot run wires to my garage port.

This wireless camera was the best solution. I hooked it up the extra electrical socket that was there for the garage door opener and hanged this from the garage ceiling. Now I have a great view of my both day and night from my apartment room two stories above it.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is long, but you may soon be spending a good bit of money on these, so I hope that it helps. After using this for a month, I am impressed with the daytime picture quality, night image quality, wireless range and reliability, and build quality. First, this camera is large compared to most wired cameras. It will be noticed and seen which i think is a good thing. The IR illumination is bright and will reach the stated distance directly in front with a decent floodlight effect to see a wider area. I have 2 security DVR systems by another manufacturer (begins with S) which have wired cameras that are rated at 600 tvl and one 700 tvl ptz camera. This wireless camera has a slightly clearer picture with better detail than those wired cameras - only slightly but since this is wireless I am very impressed. I would buy many more of these if I could but the cost is prohibitive - you get what you pay for. I have tried other wireless security gadgets like driveway monitors and other cameras so I have learned to greatly reduce my expectations for the range, but this unit comes the closest to its advertised abilities. if you are having trouble with the wireless range because of several walls or a metal roof, put the receiver closer to the camera and purchase a long BNC cable (or RCA cable if only sending to a TV) to get the picture back to your DVR. You will need a female to female adapter if you use BNC cable. Using a cable like that may be what you want to avoid but I mainly wanted to avoid drilling a hole through a thick brick wall, so I didnt mind having some cable inside. You may only need a short amount of cable to get the receiver across the room to a window, instead of in a cabinet behind a bluray player, satellite dvr, large tv etc, which will really block your reception.
