Experience the next generation of premium, do-it-yourself security with the LNR400 Series Network Video Recorder (NVR). This cutting-edge NVR is bundled with weatherproof HD IP cameras to provide you with stunning 1080p HD recording in real-time on all channels. Each camera requires just a single Ethernet cable connecting it to the NVR, which provides both power and video using Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology. Connect the cameras to the NVR's 8 integrated PoE ports for a truly plug-and-play surveillance experience that will have you up and running in no time. A high-capacity security-grade HDD is pre-installed, allowing you record days of footage as lifelike as life itself. Maintain vigilance with the ultimate in recording resolution and picture quality in your corner.
This HD NVR is compatible with Lorex PoE IP cameras only. It is not compatible with third-party IP cameras. Click here for full camera compatibility list.
The system includes HD IP bullet cameras (LNB3153), dome cameras (LND3152) and HD PTZ (LNZ32P12 – included with LNR4163C8Z1B & LNR4163C12Z1B only) camera that boast smooth FULL HD 1080p video and outstanding night vision. The end result of stunning high definition video of your home or business provides you with that crucial peace-of-mind you need.
The NVR has 8 integrated PoE ports on its rear panel for direct connection to IP cameras using Ethernet cable. This bundle also includes an 8-port PoE switch, which connects to your router to extend the capabilities of your security system. The PoE switch makes a perfect addition to your surveillance system, allowing you to connect 8 cameras to the switch and 8 directly to the NVR. It provides power and video transmission the exact same way an NVR does. It can offer you tremendous flexibility in the way you install your cameras. How? Instead of having to run multiple camera cables back to just one device, you now have two to choose from (the NVR and the PoE switch). This means you can have the NVR in one area of your home or business, and place the switch in a completely different area, eliminating the need for lengthy cables for each camera.
The weatherproof IP cameras feature advanced Digital Noise Reduction combined with Spatial Noise Reduction, delivering a more accurate image, with better clarity, sharpness, greater disc space for storage, and improved motion detection. High-powered Infrared LED's deliver outstanding night vision range in ambient lighting and total darkness, ensuring extremely clear HD viewing in all low-light conditions. Digital-Wide Dynamic Range backlight compensation provides clear detailed images where very bright and very dark areas exist in the same field of view.
The included PTZ camera (LNZ32P12 – included with LNR4163C8Z1B & LNR4163C12Z1B only) takes your surveillance capabilities to the next level, allowing you to adjust the viewing angle at any time to monitor a huge area. Control the camera from your smartphone or tablet to view your world from any angle you choose. Full 360° continuous pan rotation for complete area coverage with fast 300° per second panning speed. This PTZ camera uses powerful 12X optical zoom and 16X digital zoom to focus in on even the finest details. Its high definition video is outstanding with clear detail, day or night. The pre-attached wall mount makes the camera fully weatherproof, and provides easy installation for indoor and outdoor applications.

The hard drives are designed to work in a security environment, including simultaneous recording & playback from various streams.
1. Compatible with Lorex 1080p wired PoE HD cameras only. For a list of compatible cameras, please visit lorextechnology.com/support.
2. Recording time may vary based on recording resolution & quality, lighting conditions and movement in the scene.
3. Mirror recording requires a second hard drive (not included) to be installed in the NVR. Mirrored hard drive must be as large or larger than the primary hard drive to backup all recordings. Backup begins from when the mirrored hard drive is installed and configured.
4. Instant playback feature available on one camera at a time during live view (when in quad or multiple live camera viewing mode).
5. The NVR firmware and software must be upgraded to the latest version to use the FLIR Cloud™ service. When the system is connected to the Internet, it will automatically alert you if there is a firmware upgrade available.
6. Requires a high speed internet connection and a router (not included). A minimum upload speed of 1Mbps is required for the best video performance. Up to 3 devices may connect to the system at the same time.
7. For the latest list of supported apps and devices, please visit www.lorextechnology.com/support.
8. Compatible with Lorex HD NVR LNR100/LNR400 series only.
9. Stated IR illumination range is based on ideal conditions in typical outdoor night time ambient lighting and total darkness. Actual range and image clarity depends on installation location, viewing area, and light reflection / absorption level of object.
10. Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered location recommended.
11. Compatible with LNR100 & LNR400 Series NVRs only.
12. This camera’s power consumption is rated for PoE+ (30W max., IEEE 802.3at) only. To power the camera, you must use the included power adapter or a switch or NVR that supports PoE+ (such as Lorex model ACCLPS241B, sold separately). Standard PoE switches (15W max., IEEE 802.3af) will not provide sufficient power to operate this camera.
13. This camera features an ultra-low light sensitive image sensor and therefore does not feature Infra-Red LEDs. The camera requires ambient lighting (for example, street/ building lighting, star or moon light) to render a night time image. In total darkness (zero Lux) the camera will not produce a night time image and therefore the camera should not be installed in areas with complete darkness.
14. Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered location recommended.

Easy Set-up, good picture, the included 100' cables were more than enough for me. Simple to use iPhone app for remote viewing.

Great system. Easy to install great picture all the features that you could want. Easy to use. Perfect remote viewing, no connection problems at all.
Awesome system. Easy to navigate and setup for remote viewing.

Got this system from Costco great camera system! The cables are the best so easy to run. I would buy it again if I had to.

Very good product

I purchased the system from Costco and had it up and running in a relatively short period of time with only a couple of small questions. The most time-consuming effort was pulling new CAT5e cable to replace the BNC from the older Lorex ECO system. The simplified cabling system was well work the effort.
The system console and mobile phone apps are vastly improved and customer support for the product was quick and seamless.

We have install a 2 Lorex POE system with 8 camera each. Installation was smooth, Picture is great, image is fluid, System works great.
We also use remote application to monitor camera. We have some camera installed with wireless link and works awesome.. We highly recommeded this product.

NVR and cameras are great. Excellent picture quality, even at night and look robust and well built.
However, the interface is not very user friendly - takes a while to get used to and I never did - just ended up not using many of the available functions.. which is a shame.
For instance, while the app for remote control is relatively easy to use, other internet connectivity features are close to impossible to use (DDNS server for remote control, sever for emailing alerts, etc).
Also, the fan in the NVR is very noisy - so not OK unless in a garage or closed-in unit.
Finally, most free apps available to control/see IP cameras seem to work with most other brands but not with Lorex and not with this Lorex model - which also doesn't help usability.
Price was great though and would definitely buy if needed for basic monitoring/recording, but not recommended for networking or internet-based use.

I bought this system from Costco as a security solution while my house was being renovated. While the house was vacant, I had my ISP install a modem to provide internet and setup the NVR in an enclosed cabinet. I ran the LAN cable out to two cameras, one on the yard and one looking in the house. Setup took only a couple of hours. Literally plug and play. Images came up right away. Very thorough manual taught be everything about the NVR. I love the motion detection and email alerts when motion is detected. Love the option to record on a schedule (at night when no one is around). Also let's me keep an eye on the construction during the day. When I move in, I plan on setting up the rest of the cameras to supplement my security system.

Bought this system from Best Buy in Canada, paid $1500 for it, thinking it was going to be really great. Well the cameras ARE very clear and have very good night vision. But that's about where it ends. Setup is anything but intuitive. The NVR is so noisy I'm still not sure where I can locate it in my home. It's so loud it would keep us awake at night so for now it's turned off at night, which kind of defeats the purpose. I leave it on when the house is vacant but that's when another problem became apparent. The remote software for the PC requires a web plugin that apparently ONLY works with Internet Explorer, as the tech support guys tell me. Brilliant. So it doesn't work with Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, or even MS Edge? That's right, it only works with IE, which is not even supported any more by its own maker, Microsoft. My Windows 10 PC with its nice 27-inch screen (perfect for this task) shipped with MS Edge web browser, so I can't use it. The only way I can view my cameras remotely according to Lorex tech support, is to watch on a tiny 4-inch mobile screen with their cloud app. Did I say brilliant? Without updated software (preferably not reliant on a plugin) this "feature" is pretty useless. I have a $97 Foscam PTZ internet camera that's been able to pull off this "feat" for the past 8 years without relying on a plugin or any specific web browser. Make your own comparisons. I gave this system a 5 for video quality but downgrade to a 2 for sheer stupidity and lack of foresight. I expected much more, especially since Flir now puts their name on these products. Wouldn't it be ironic though if I won their silly little contest for submitting my review???

I replaced my 720P system with the 1080P and the clarity is excellent. These cameras are great and very durable especially against the heat in the desert. The software is very functional for both the PC, Android and Apple.
Easy to install with and configure. Paired with PTZ cameras for added functionality. Mobile and computer apps further enhance the experience. Motion detection works great after a little sensitivity tuning. Email notifications are instant.

Very happy with the system overall. The cameras connected via the gigaswitch occasionally drop out and need to be re-initialized, so there is some "maintenance" involved. The cameras have a slightly narrow field-of-view, so placement and aiming are important. It's great being able to "eavesdrop" on my house from my iPhone or iPad, using the remote software. Great peace-of-mind. Highly recommended.
This system is works very well. Still testing before putting outside. Called the customer service to assist with remote viewing via online and he did a GREAT job of assisting. I highly recommend based on the technical support team as well as quality of the product.

I purchased the NR8163 16 channel 1080 system with 8 cameras. The video quality is great. The only problem I am trying to resolve is that the waterproof housing for the cat5e connectors does not fit. I called tech support & they told me the connector must be cut off, slipped through the housing & resplice a new cat5e connector onto the wire. I find that bizarre & am waiting for a response from someone. FLIR should supply a solution for this. Other than that, the system is great & mobile app is excellent
This system is fairly advanced and the documentation I have found on line is not very complete. We were able to figure out most of what we wanted to know but there is a lot of trial and error you have to go through to get it right...and we are not calling tech support for stuff that should be documented. All in all we are happy with the system and love the fact it uses CAT5 with POE instead of coax and a power lead. Overall quality of the video is much better than the Samsung we had prior to this system.
I have a Lorex LNR-4082 with 2 cameras plugged directly into the box and the other 2 cameras are connected to my router via a TP-Link POE switch.
The technical support team is very good. You will most likely need to call them before you get everything set up.
It finds the cameras very easily.
The picture is superb.
It has more options than competing systems such as switch input and outputs for various types of alarms.
The unit has unusually loud fan noise if you are within 5 feet of it compared to other devices. I also have a Samsung security system and it is silent.
If you are away from home and a network camera on your local network (not a camera plugged directly into the NVR box) goes off line and comes back on line with a different IP address than it had before it went off line there is no way using the remote "FLIR Cloud software" to bring the camera back into the list of viewable cameras on the Lorex NVR. This is easy to do if you are at home right at the device viewing the output of the NVR directly using the provided mouse and my HDMI monitor.
When using the remote viewing software:
Depending on your home internet UPLOAD speed (which is lower than your download speed) you should set the viewing quality to the lower quality substream when viewing multiple cameras at the same time or it will lock up. Only set the viewing quality to 1080p when viewing only 1 camera at a time.

Excellent camera image and reliability. Easy to install and POE is way better than other types of system. You wont go wrong

I have purchased a LNR416 with 16 HD PoE security cameras (a mix of bullet and dome cameras). This is a quality system. The system is very easy to install and connect. No technical knowledge is required. I especially like the ability of viewing my 16 cameras remotely using Lorex's FLIR Cloud app on my mobile device. I highly recommend this systems.

I Am so happy to have this product, my last CCTV with other brand didnt work well specially the image quality, My car got break in and the quality of the video wasn't enough to identify them.
I sold my old cctv and got the lorex LHV2000 Series 16 Ch and I am amaze about the video quality 1080P, Clear Footage, easy to install, and easy software to use, I use the app to watch it remotely also. now I am thinking to add a PTZ so I can have more control of surveillance because you never know who is out there trying to break in in your house, I am completely satisfied !!
Location: Pensacola, fl.
I was very happy to see how easy the hook up was right out of the box very easy and simple configuring the system. Everything worked perfect I even had ordered a PTZ camera to add and it work perfect with no extra configuration. Great system, I’m thinking to add another PTZ camera.

I am so pleased with my product and related equipment from Lorex; customer service is the best I have ever experienced. My PTZ, bullets and High Power POE switch all work great. Tech support is the best ever as well; great and friendly help with setting up and getting everything. I highly recommend this system
I did a lot of research before buying a system and I would definitely recommend this company and system. Great cameras, easy to set up, and install was a breeze. Would purchase again.

This system far exceeds what I expected. The picture quality is exceptional and I'm very happy with the small footprint of the cameras. The following things really stood out to me:
System capability far exceeds what I expected
Quality of video is outstanding
No problems with installation
Night Vision is Very Good
Reasonable price for what you get
The Flir Cloud Rocks!
Lorex Customer and Technical Support is Great
My wife wanted a surveillance system for added peace of mind, and she is very pleased with what this system provides -- a huge plus.
I did a lot of research before buying this system and I'm certain I made the best possible choice. I would Highly Recommend Lorex products to anyone looking for a high quality surveillance system. My friends are jealous!
Bottom Line: I am exceptionally pleased -- five stars isn't enough!
Location: Spring, TX
Very impressed by the video quality and ease of setup.
I installed the 9 camera system with the help of my wife. Only needing to run a single ethernet cable to each camera made installation much easier. The fans on the base unit and extra POE box do produce some noise, but nothing too loud. I put it in my laundry room and noticed that they are about as loud, but not quite, as the ventilation fan in that room. I haven't opened the main unit, but can see that I could add an additional hard drive (extra SATA cable included).
Seriously impressed by the detail I can make out in the video. Night vision is also pretty good and has decent range. Love the ability to setup motion alerts that will send a still image to my phone instantly. Configuration options allow for fairly precise areas of the scene to be monitored/ignored.
The iPhone app could stand for some user interface improvements, but overall gives me what I need - the ability to bring up my cameras at home from wherever I am. Creating a DDNS account and configuring for access outside of my home network was a breeze. I like how it reduces the quality of the stream by default, but allows me to select a specific camera and enhance the quality as desired.
I have not had the need to call support thus far.

If you are going to buy a security system, I highly recommend buying the LNR 400. Their technical support is excellent and will stand behind their products and help you work out any issues you might encounter.
Location: Edmonton, Alberta. Canada
Purchased and installed the LNR400-16ch system. The clarity is great while viewing it through the monitor and on a PC. Not so good when viewing it through Flir Cloud on an IPAD or Android Phone. I tried to have tech support resolve this for me but they haven't managed to help, maybe I talked to someone that wasn't familiar with this product, not to happy, they even cancelled my ticket number without resolving the issue. My previous product was the Lorex Edge, no problems with viewing this with my IPAD. I have only had the system for a few days, maybe Lorex will try and resolve this for me.
Mixed feelings so far.

great system easy to install and setup flir app is really easy to use. Excellent quality so far. delivery after ordering took a while but probably due to overwhelming numbers of Black Friday customers. We got a killer deal. as long as it remains reliable can't think of any reason not to highly recommend it
