reliable and easy to install. A small business blessing!!!
Easy install/set up and remote view is very helpful. Only con is fan noise on edge2 DVR box is a little bit loud.
Installation was a little challenging with multiple level home. But well worth the time.

Worked without trouble shooting; available at Home Depot; Internet set up required help from an IT specialist due to complexity of our house LAN system
We love the camera system. We recommend this product.

Great Cameras for the Price!
We just installed our cameras last month and I must say that I'm impressed with the quality and colour of the pictures. My only complaint is that it was not the easiest to set-up. I had to have a relative who is a computer guru help me since I'm not a techie. We are also having problems viewing the video on my iPad and laptop. We still haven't figured that part out but it works well on the touchscreen monitor that came with the package. I would recommend this product.

The system works great for us
We previously had a security camera system that was connected to our computer network and completely dependent upon that system working properly. Unfortunately, every time there was an event that we needed to see the video, is seems that there was some sort of a glitch with the network system and we NEVER had useful video regarding that event. With this system we have had usable video EVERY time we have needed it. Additionally this system is very easy to access through our network by way of an easy to use web interface. We are pleased with this system.

Phenomenal Quality & Value!
The quality and value on this package is incredible. It works flawlessly and was fairly easy to setup

Go for it
The initial setup was quite easy. Networking knowledge helped. The remote options were less instant. There are many options. Some better than others. Doesn't work in my office (firewall issue perhaps?) Not something the company would consider opening for non-business purpose. But I can use my IPad and receive email alerts - so it is still a workable solution. Great images. The price and product are positive.

you need one
I have been buying Lorex products for 5 years. I like the quality of the wireless camera range and picture quality. I was assaulted near my house last year. It was all on 3 cameras. The sheriff deputy said that with the dvr recording the case would be easy. I bought a new Lorex dvr recently
Easy to setup and I love the remote access. I like the night vision range and it does great for sending me motion alerts. The Cameras are easy to install.
Bought the security system for my store. Works well day or night. Needed support to get my smart phone set up. They did an excellent job.

I LOVE my security camera system
I really do love my Lorex camera system. Particularly being able to view my cameras from my iphone at any time and take pictures of specific cameras by clicking a button. The peace of mind is priceless. They look cool on my house and I believe they deter bad behavior from taking place on my property.

Well made system. Easy to install and get started. Took a little experimenting to figure out port settings to view online. Would like the option to format the HDD to delete previous recordings but minor quibble and that option may exist and I'm just unaware of it. We've used it for several months now and the system has been quiet and reliable.

been using the cameras for a year now with no problems. if any time I did have a problem it was taken care off by the technecal dept. already had 2 friends by the same system the I purchased.

Great set up.
Works great right out of the box. Easy to set up. I had a little trouble getting the internet viewing set up but that was more to do with router configuration than any Lorex equipment and customer service helped me out. One call, one session and everything has worked great since. Just a tip: my system seems to work better if I set up the auto reboot feature on the DVR and on my router. I plan on expanding the system soon as I still have 8 channels available. Only con is that the DVR is quite loud.
This is an excellent security camera system. Very clear picture. Really like the ability to view the cameras from my cell phone.Great product for a great price

First 6 months
The setup for this system is tricky, especially port forwarding the router for offsite monitoring. Once it is completely setup, it performs very well. No complaints.
I purchased this product about 9 months ago. So far I have had no problems with this device. I had some technical difficulties at first but, the customer support helped me set it all up through my computer!

Does What They Said It Would
Everything works great. I still haven't gotten it to work on my iPad.

Easy to install (did take some planning to determine where to put the cameras). Clear pictures. Its been installed for 3 months and already it has been valuable to us twice. Easy to review and find what you want to see

Lorex System A #1
This Lorex system is absolutely awesome. The clarity and hig definitions puts our old system to shame. My wife is not excactly tech savy, but she flies through the cameras and settings with ease on the touch screen. This system has caught 2 people illegally dumping trash in our dumpster, as well as allowed us to see what goes on at night when we leave the deli to the night shift. Viewing the cameras from home has helped us "trim the fat" and made our business much more efficeint, saving us thousands of dollars already. The low price is unbeleivable for the caliber of this equipment. I definately will recommend this to friends.

Price was on par with quality. Easy setup of the cameras but still hung up on remote viewing. Overall I'd buy again.

At first I wasn’t happy with the system but after using the system for a couple days I changed my mind. I am happy with this purchase. This is a nice system. It is easy to use and install. The cameras are working great. Lorex replaced one of the cameras because the IR's did not work. I wished the remote would operate all the functions on the menu screen. You will have to use the mouse if you want to change some of the set up features. Lorex could have a better remote. The iphone app works great. I like the motion alerts the system sends me when a camera detects motion. Customer service tech support is very very slow. If you call them expect customer no-service. It’s best to just email and wait for a response.

We had a Lorex Home Security System previously that was very good, but the Edge2 is even better! The cameras have a much wider viewing range and clearer image. Setting up the system was not difficult, The best part is being able to view the live videos of the 8 cameras of our Lorex system with the iPhone app (free). The iPhone set up only took about 5 minutes. It is worth your time to set up viewing on your laptop, too, if that is a feature you would use. Everyone needs one of these! Its user-friendly and would be very useful to any homeowner (or business owner)..

Edge2 DVR and Touch Screen Monitor - love it
I purchased the Edge2 DVR with 16 Channels, 8 cameras and touchscreen monitor, after considerable research. My criteria was mostly around camera quality, clarity of captured video and remote access. I don't regret the decision and purchase at all. The images are incredibly clear and detailed, even at night. Met or exceeded all my expectations. Set up was very easy - I was up and running (without remote access) in about 5 mins with the first camera. Running the cables was really all the time involved. I followed the instructions for remote access, and was up and running with local lan access in about 10 mins. The instructions are relatively easy to follow. I classify my technical and network knowledge as mid-level at best. I am far from an expert. The LAN access was easy, remote access didn't work. It took me the better part of a week to get remote working, but in fairness, the instructions were perfect and I had it set up right - problem was all with my internet provider, and the modem they provided. If you don't run it to that, it is actually pretty straight forward. Working perfectly now - great to have access to the cameras and the DVR from anywhere. Love the system and highly recommend it.
Was easy to install, a little more complicated to set up the moniter, but with the support of the helpline, was able to get it up and running on my mobile devices. I have the icon on my desktop, but am unable to open to view the cameras- just haven't called back in yet to get instuctions. Takes some practice to figure out playback etc. Haven't figured out how to speed up the recorded footage from my mobile devices, but can do it directly from the moniter... Good picture during the day, but not as good as we would have liked at night. It does pick up an outline of whatever passes by in the night. For the price, we are happy with the product.

Lorex Edge2 21.5" Touch Screen Monitor 16 Channel
This system is good but the has some problem on the Screen Display. It blocks a bit of bottom 3 cameras. It need to change by using the Octopus BNC connector, it was weak.
