The LH030 worked for my remodel/construction site during the 14 months of rehab. Great to be able to see everything going on with sub contractors at the site while we were at the office or on the go. Highly recommend. A little difficult to get the picture capture and email to work, but overall great product.

We bought the system to keep an eye on our dog that is about to have a litter of puppies. It's was very easy to set up in no time. Because of it's wireless capability, after the pups are born we can use it anywhere in the house. Great product. I would recommend it to everyone.

Cameras are great playback easy to use. If you plan to use wireless please be aware that four is the limit. I used 65 ft cables to move the receivers closer to our camera to improve signal strength.

I purchased and installed the LH030 system due to a recent spate of vandalism in our gated community.
Very simple to install and use, including adding forwarding to my router.
A few weeks ago, my system provided the proof to solve a hit and run where a teenage driver hit and completely demolished a brick mail box.
Crisp views and excellent playback/search/save options.

Have had many problems with these cameras. Do not send alerts, cameras freeze and have to be unplugged and replugged in daily. Can never view cameras from home always says failure to connect and 3/4 of the time they dont work on my phone. Have tried to address the issue with Lorex with no luck. Tired of waiting on the phone for 3 hours to talk to someone. Would not recommend these cameras.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you are having difficulty and have emailed you an offer to have tech support phone you. Alternatively you can phone them at 1-877-755-6739.

I debated whether to hire professional's to install surveillance system or try it myself ? After researching and comparing products,Lorex was at the top of my list. They advertised "easy self installation". Let me tell you I was amazed how easy it was to install.I'm going to purchase another Lorex system for our Son's family. We recently went on vacation and were able to check on our home at any time through our cell phones. That was awesome.

Everything was going well until 3 months of use. One camera is failing. Have ordered a camera (very expensive) to use while I go thru the warranty process. Then it will be a backup if the others fail.

Thank you for your feedback. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. We were happy to process the warranty replacement for you.

You get a security system to feel safe.. This system does not make me feel safe! I would not recommend this product to anyone! For the money we spent it's a complete disappointment. I have had to call customer support on four different occasions (several hours invested) and still my problem is not fixed. Cameras keep going out of range. Slow/bogged down pictures. Email notification doesn't work, etc.... We had planned on buying additional cameras, not anymore.

We're sorry to hear you are having difficulty. Our technical support team will be happy to assist you with this and have sent you a message to arrange a call. Alternatively, please call us at 1-877-755-6739 at your convenience.

Replaced my other system (Uniden) with this unit. I especially like the versatility of viewing or accessing this system using multiple devices. There is a phone app so you can view live at any time and access your system, I can also use my laptop. Very easy install and quick setup instructions. System manual and many other support manuals easily accessible online if needed. The website is very well put together and easy to navigate. Many options for support if needed. I created an account which also gives me many options for my system.
Getting back to the installation, very easy to setup as mentioned, however, with this versatile system you have to connect into your wireless router via a provided cable. I would like to have seen a longer cable for that so I can have the option of placing the receiver in multiple locations. I will be purchasing a longer cable in order to do that. This system also didn't come with a monitor but once you download the free app or program you can use your computer to complete the setup. Other than that I am very happy with this system so far. The wireless range on the cameras is excellent. The cameras themselves are very good quality and have good range, clarity and good night vision. They also have a very good quality mounting base with excellent lock-in moveability.
Again, I really like their website features and support options and would recommend this system for the person who is looking for a simple security monitoring system with just the right number of options.

I ordered this 4 camera system to add security to a newly purchased home. The installation was very quick and straight forward. I think it may have take 30 minutes at the most. The HDD software is pretty good, it will take about another 30 minutes to configure it the way that you want. All in all this is a great system an I would recommend it to anyone who wants a secure and reliable security camera system.

This Lorex security camera has one of the easiest connection setups. All you do is connect the wires and push a button. Done deal. You are connected. This is a great 4 channel camera package for homeowners and businesses. The cameras can be used inside or outside so you can keep tabs on all areas. Footage is kept on the hard drive and when there is an “incident” it is categorized so all you have to do is search for the date and time range to find it.

I purchased my system approximately 2 weeks ago and am slow at the installation phase. So far I'm very impressed with the system. We have looked and gave thought for several years now. The price and value is great. I bought it at Sam's Club and or course nothing comes with manuals these days. I had trouble trying to locate the manual on the Lorex web site due to Sam's has its own model number. After calling tech support, they immediately got me to the correct area to download and print the user manual. I'm still working on the installation and have tested it in locations and very happy so far.

So far so good. Clear video, nice range although I will probably have to buy the range extender for the camera that is mounted farthest away.

Only thing I would add to the system would be wireless LAN for internet connectivity. Going to try a USB wireless NIC and see if that will work. Otherwise I'll have to run cat5 to my internet router which I didn't really want to do.

We have been looking for a wireless security system for our home and purchased Model LH03081TC4W security system with 4-wireless cameras.
The installation was so simple and this system works great.
The other thing we like about this system is the addition of 4-more cameras which we will probably purchase soon so we can see our complete property outside & inside at the doors.
I would suggest this system to anyone because it works good and so simple to install.

Received the system as a birthday gift. DVR and 2 wireless cameras. I'm impressed with the transmitting range of the cameras as one I have set up approximately 300 meters from my house and I have full bars on my Wifi. Very easy to set up at home as the included directions were clear to understand. Just downloaded the app to my I phone so I can view the cameras while I am away - great feature. I'm hoping to expand the system in the near future by purchasing 2 additional cameras. Great system!

This camera system is a good deal for the money. It is very easy to install and use. I was even able to bridge the unit to my PC with a short 5 minute chat on the phone. The camera range is fairly close to describe. In the open they will reach up to 300 feet, going through building is another matter. about 150 feet max. I suppose you could add cable to the antenna's and get a better range. For off the shelf it beats the price competitors.

Just wanted a quick and easy system to install and this works great. Being in this industry on the law enforcement side i deal with some very high end systems that range in the thousands to hundreds of thousands... this system was easy to setup and wow how fast it was to connect to the internet and view remotely. THis system delivers.

Got the LH030 for Christmas from a daughter. Although not very computer savvy, it only took me a short time to get everything set up and running. Very pleased with the product. It gives me "eyes" on parts of our property we could not previously see. Now I only need to glance at a monitor we dedicated to the system to see those places. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a security camera system. Just be aware the wifi cameras only work out to about 75 feet. A range extender is needed for further distances.

Purchased the product from Sam's Club online. Installation and setup were easy. Camera resolution not as good as some other, pricier systems, but still a good value for the price. Only complaint is that, being a cloud-based system, the images may not be viewed on more than one device at a time. Also, we cannot bring up images on a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 over T-Mobile's network; it works fine if it is connected to wifi. My Moto X can receive images over the T-Mobile just fine.

Bought mine on Amazon. There are 3 different cameras offered with this system. The package i selected uses the lowest quality cameras, 480tvl. I am rating this system an "it's ok" only because of the entry level cameras. The box (DVR) is wonderful and easy to set up for remote viewing. the quality is there in the DVR, but not in the cameras. Go with a higher mm lens and TVL, if you want to be able to read a license plate from 20' away.

I simply purchased an additional Lorex LBC7032F 700TVL camera for my main area of concern. The other cameras are fine for the parameter, but not for facial or vehicle detail. No problem what so ever with the night quality. In pitch black, indoor or out, they will light up perfect for detailed visual up to 20 feet. Perfect for indoor use in dark small spaces.

unfortunately the Stratus remote viewing with the QR code stopped working after about a year. Called the tech service and they were not able to resolve the issue. It works fine if i use the IP option, but not the Device (QR) option. Inconvenient because i must know my IP address when away and that can change at any time. Personally i believe the DVR built in QR is corrupt and lost identity. The Tech tried to blame my internet service or router, but if that was the case, the IP wouldn't work either.

I did a lot of research on this product before purchasing from our local Sams Club. Mostly good reviews, and as usual, some bad. Installation was very easy. I love the fact that I did not have to run wires from the cameras to the DVR. But, please understand that you MUST have a power source for the cameras. Two cameras covering the front of the house to catch inconsiderate dog owners who would not pick up their droppings. Quality of the video is very good for this price range. I was able to view the live video on my computer, Ipad and LG phone. Some reviews say it will interfere with your wireless network if you are using 2.5 ghz. I avoided this situation by changing my wirelss setting in my router to 5ghz. No problems with the wireless network. If you are looking for a good wireless camera system at a very good price, this system should fill those needs.

I recently purchased the Lorex LH030 security system. Extremely satisfied with the system, it took a call to the tech support, but it was up and running after Laurel helped me with a small glitch. Just set up a week ago.
Picture is clean and crisp.
Box says 45 minutes to set up. I spent 7 hours plus or minus, perhaps I'm slow, or perhaps I had a complicated install of the cameras on a large home. Each wireless camera needs to be plugged into an electrical outlet.
One of the four cameras is not working, I assume due to its' distance from the DVR/Wireless antenna receivers. The camera is approximately 100' away, on the exterior. I have a double brick exterior it has to get a signal through. I hope to remedy the problem with the purchase of a Directional Antenna hooked to a 100' antenna extension cable which I will be able to run through the attic and place within 20 of the camera. The cable hooks to the Directional Antenna and to the wireless receiver that is located next to/at the DVR and is attached to the DVR.
I anticipate that once I have it all hooked up and working I will be happy with the system.

On Saturday, October 10, 2015, I purchased the LH030 Eco Blackbox 3 Series 8-Channel Security Camera System with Weatherproof Wireless Cameras from Home Depot (my favorite store). I have never installed any type of security system before. With this system I immediately installed the system myself. It was very easy and only took approximately 40 minutes. My only issue is the system does not come with a monitor. That was easy, because I purchased a new monitor from the military exchange for less than $100. Initially had problem with the mouse, however, the support guy (Richard F), had the mouse working in about 2 minutes. He really knew the product. The only item that did not work is the remote even with new batteries. I'm very satisfied with this product.

WOW!! Box arrived on time, and within a week, the whole system is up and running. Still learning the tricks and quirks, but not that difficult. Hardest thing was the port forwarding on the router, but after reading some more, and installing the port forwarding software, away things went. Lots more things to learn, but nothing too convulated. Instructions a bit vague in a few areas, but what came out of the box worked as per instructions. It's just the other stuff that wasn't explained very clearly

Was a little skeptical at first. Whenever you see "easy to install" it usually isn't. However, these cameras were very easy to install. Yes they need an electric source but in my case there was more than enough wire to reach a plug. I was also skeptical about night vision. Not anymore. The first night we tried it I had to go outside to ensure we did not have any lights on. Great picture. I would recommend this to anyone.

recently purchased this system, easy to setup but I am having issues with recording and found that the DVR is not working properly, the hard drive says no disk so it is unable to record any footage. Waiting on a response Lorex, Hopefully it is a one time issue.

Thank you for your feedback. Our support team was happy to replace the DVR for you under warranty. We hope everything is working well for you now.

I am very impressed at the quality and performance of this system. Additionally, I'm even more impressed at the EXCELLENT technical service!! Overall, installing the system was straight forward out of the box. I had some issues to overcome due to decreased wifi performance--I have a LOT of wifi devices and ended up installing a dual band router and dual band wifi extender to keep my data throughput high. I would highly recommend this system.

Cons: Weak wireless signal strength for outdoor used, Unable to setup 180 degree direction due to the wireless antenna behind of camera, 1 of 4 cameras LED die for night vision

Although, 1 of 4 cameras LED die for night vision. I called customer service and they are pleased to replaced a NEW camera for me base on the 1 year warranty they offer from my purchased on

After lots of research, I chose this 2-camera system because of the camera quality, plenty of VCR storage, and wireless comm to the cameras. After almost a month I'm very pleased!
I bench-tested the system before hiring someone to install electrical outlets, and was immediately impressed with the strong signal and clarity, no matter where I placed the cameras outside. There's not much detail in the setup instructions, so I called Tech Support and got terrific help from Chris. Not only did he answer my questions but he stayed on the phone while I downloaded apps to my PC and smartphone, and pointed out features for me to explore.
I'm very impressed with the wide-angle and clarity of the cameras. We connected the VCR to a small TV so when the doorbell rings I can quickly check to see who it is before answering. I did initial setup from my PC, and review playback on the PC, so have no need for the provided mouse and remote.
I would've preferred a black or brown camera case, to blend with the dark trim on my house, but the camera only came in white. Please consider offering a color choice.
The system performs better than I expected, so I'm 100% satisfied!

I must say setting this system up the way I wanted was beyond my means due to time restrictions, it took the electricians some time (5 Hrs) to put the 3 cameras out front and one in the back. Once set up and installed I had to download everything which stared out rough but then went very easily. When I say download I mean to my phone and laptop. The smart phone was a breeze. The laptop was a mess until I contacted customer service...they are really good, took care of it all for me. If you go to the website they say for downloading, you get a host of bogus sights. Customer service dialed into my laptop and did it for me. Very satisfied with Lorex's service.

Pros: The cameras and setup are very basic and relatively easy to do. Picture quality in daylight and night vision is very good.
Cons: When I received my system the HDMI cable was bad. I had to go and buy a new one. I called Lorex and after jumping through some hoops, they agreed to send me a new one. It has been over 3+ weeks and I have yet to see one, even though I was told one was on its way.
Internet and email setup has been the worse, the two items I need the most. I am still working with Lorex Support to try to fix these items. When I did get a hold of tech support you could tell they were reading from a script which means they have little idea of what they’re doing. I have noticed in the reviews that quite a few customers are having these same problems.
As for setting up for viewing on a monitor or your smart phone, well that is when things will go south real fast. There is no real user manual and if there is one on their web site, I hope you can find it, I couldn’t. Also, any online tech support is really lacking. The cheap mouse and remote are almost useless. User interface has a lot to be desired. If all worked as it should I think it would be a great deal for the price and rate 5 stars. Just not there yet.

Thank you for your feedback, we apologize for the delay with your cables. Our technical support team would be happy to assist you with any set up issues you are experiencing. They can be reached at 1-877-755-6739.

Instillation was extremely easy, basic setup also very easy. System came on line as soon as it was turned on, only issue I am still having is viewing remotely, called Lorex support they said either my internet connection was to slow or it may be an issue with Windows 10. Video quality would be much better if resolution was higher than 480p..swan sells an 8 camera system thats 720p for the same price, but they are wired units.....this system is much easier to install, but i find that the range claims of lorex to be very much exagerated...i have 1 within 15 feet of dvr/router,4 bars, another at 18 feet,3 bars,...third one at 25ft..1 bar....fourth at 35ft o/1 bar last one is only one behind wall no where near mfg claims,...wasnt for that 5 stars, tech help excellent quality of build very good

This product is ok for video security, but is lacking in accurate documentation and the client software in very convoluted and hard to understand. The manual (if you can find it) does not match the actual software and when it does it does not explain very well.
Client software will not work with windows phone or Samsung galaxy 10 tablet.
Support is good as far as not having to wait very long, but not that great depending on who you get I had 1 of 4 people that were very helpful.
email notifications only work with gmail account and you must set "less secure apps" setting which exposes you to hackers.

So far this has been a good system. Easy to install. You need to watch the installation location of the cameras for movement recording. I think they should include 1 PTZ camera as part of the package and 1 25' power extension cord. You won't get license plate recognition but you do get date, time, and can easily recognize faces. I would recommend this to anyone not wanting to run wires from all around their place.

I like this system after a very difficult time getting it to work. After getting it installed I could view the cameras on a television with a HDMI cable connected but did not know how to set it up on my computer. I called lorex support and a technician took remote control of my computer and when he finished he said I needed to call my internet provider and have port 9000 or 1025 turned on in my wireless router. When I called them they said that it was not possible and that my router would not work with a security system if it required ports to be turned on. The next day I called Lorex back and a different tech answered the phone and said the port 9000 thing or 1025 thing was a wrong way to set it up, that they did not do it that way any more, and did it over for me by taking remote control of my computer, and since then it has worked real nice both at home and by getting onto the internet with a different wireless router. If it continues to perform like this I think it is great. I just had one terrible night of frustration getting it working. I did not find any set up instructions in the package other than connecting the wiring and plugging it in. What I seen the Lorex techs doing to make it works makes me believe that I would not have been able to do it anyway. It appears to me to be difficult enough to require a person trained on the system. However as I said before now that it works I really like it and would not give it up.

Easy set-up and installation as "Quick set-up Guide" is included with package. But NO INSTRUCTION MANUAL ! Wasted plenty of time on their website searching for an online instruction manual for this system without success. So sad, the DVR & cameras work great, but Lorex dropped the ball by not providing any instructions for customized settings. Would love to set for motion recording only, but NO instruction manual online or in the box!!!! So frustrating. No explanation for onscreen icons. What is "PTZ" or "Start SEQ" buttons for?? Gee, an instruction manual would help!!! Seems like a great product, but why not give instructions on how to use it to full potential???? I would have give 5 stars if an instruction manual was available.

I purchased my system from Sam's Club, last fall before leaving for Arizona for the winter. I was able to watch the entire property from Arizona on my laptop. I could monitor time, temperature, outside and inside of my home. It made my wife and I very comfortable and secure that we knew everything was fine at home in our absents. I have had two problems with the system, but they were both handled effortlessly with the help of the Lorex Tech's, which are very easy to work with. I can not say enough about the service I have received from Lorex.

I purchased the wireless system from Sams Club and it installed nearly effortlessly. I was concerned about reports of the wireless system sucking bandwidth from my existing home wireless network, but I have yet to experience any lag or performance issues, and I am also running a second pair of wireless cameras I recently added on. The Stratus remote connectivity feature is a bonus, making even the most inexperienced techie able to configure their system to remotely monitor their cameras from a mobile device or laptop. This has really given my wife and I peace of mind since we spend most summer weekends on our houseboat and this enables us to monitor our home after a string of break in attempts and vandalism last summer from trashy neighborhood kids and druggies living in subsidized housing down the street.

I'm not very technical and I've been able to figure the system out We have had two power surges and I have needed to call Lorax to help me reset the IP address of the DVR so I can get wireless footage when we are away from the house. One thing that I would suggest is to put each camera and the DVR on a surge protector. Had I known that, I don't think I would've had these problems. I've owned several IP cameras and like the convenience of not having to keep the computer on while away from the house. This is my first Lorex product and I really love it. I have it set to record continuously so I don't have to worry about anything. I was familiar with port-forwarding and DDNS before so it wasn't a big deal but for those without this experience you will probably have to talk with tech support. The cameras are higher resolution than any I've had in the past and their night capability is great. My unit came with 2 cameras but I plan to upgrade with 2 more in the near future. My only grip is that the android app is very iffy. Sometimes I can see my cameras and other times it just cannot connect with the DVR. Another problem is getting the email to work so that will require a call since I would like to have that operational when I'm away from the home for extended periods. I subtracted one star because of the problems mentioned.

Ok where should I begin...
1. I bought the LH030 wireless 2 camera system. I love the quality of the image and the system itself. The directions have three different languages on each page which can be very confusing.
2. The directions for the quick setup does not have step one.
3. When you think wireless you think no wires, well guess again. Each camera has to be plugged in to an electrical outlet. That is hard to do if the cameras are going outside or positioned where an outlet is not handy.
I have not been able to check the recording functions as of yet but if you do not have the manual you will be lost.

Bought this after all the high reading and rating I came across , very easy to set up and use , great picture in daytime, night is decent as well. Worst thing I had after about a month my dvr unit stopped working with the Internet . Lorex customer and tech support were very hard to get in touch with due to there hours of operation but I finally got a unit shipped out once I got threw to them . Now 6 months later I had a camera die out on me and again the customer service proves to be very slow and sloppy. Had called a week ago to get a replacement only to get a e-mail 4 days later ( after being told verbally one would be shipped out to me the same day) that I need to send them the defective unit first. Ordered a camera to replace its and I'm awaiting its arrival 10 business days later to find out it was shipped 1 day earlier again being told I'd have my product within 5-8 business days . Called them Thursday got sick of waiting on the phone left my number for a call back and have yet to hear from them , guess I shouldn't hold my breath . Really feeling like they drop the ball in the customer care end of things .... At this point if it wasn't such a pain to take it out and replace with a system that was a bit cheaper or more expensive I would . Very frustrating dealing with the horrible customer care

When the box arrived it came with everything needed and the ease of hooking up was easy.
The only issues I have had is setting up the e mail alerts. I had to set up a new G Mail account just for the Lorex DVR and have Lorex Tech support re configure items on both the DVR and my computer to be able to to receive the e mail alerts. That lasted about 1 day and now have to have Tech support look into why e mails are not coming thru again. The Picture that the cameras provide is clear in the day and not bad at night if with in 50ft of the Camera. For the Money I spent and ease of the Stratus QR Code setup I say well worth the money spent. If Lorex could simply make e mail alert setting up easier and the Remote control better for the DVR better I found you have to be with in 6ft of the DVR for the remote to work even with fresh battery's. So I give it a 3 out of 5 stars. I had the Lorex Tech load the Lorex Stratus system into my computer and ever since then I have Not been able to open the App I keep getting an Error " Unable to connect to Network " Being able to view the DVR on my I Phone is nice tho

I did some shopping around and found LOREX to have the best selection and value. .I found setting up my system was quite simple .I would highly recommend this product. I do however have two criticisms. First is that LOREX should include a wireless mouse with this product instead of a wired one, the price of a wireless mouse would cost the company about ten dollars more. Secondly and most importantly LOREX should disclaim that mounting a night vision camera behind glass ( windows ), the LED lights will cast a reflection on the glass that will cause the camera to record nothing but the reflected light .I contacted LOREX support and was advised that there is no available defuser to fix this problem. Support suggested to cover the LED lights with electrical tape. ??

I have the 4 channel system. It came with two cameras.I wish the HD quality was better ,but a good system for the price. It is nice that it is wireless and you don't have to run wires all through your house to connect to video.I recommend the higher HD camera systems if you really want a good picture.I suggest that Lorex work on that issue, however it may not be possible because too much data to send by Wi- fi.

I bought this product after hard deciding if it would be the solution for my needs. After installing it I spent a few time understanding the configuration for remote management. Now after some weeks of use, I'm very happy for taking the right decision. I'm able to watch the cameras and even review recordings fast and easy through my smart phone, I simply love this solution and will recommend it to my neighbors.

1st bought this system in Feb.2015. It was easy to set up. Adjusted pictures with brightness, contrast etc. controls. A couple of weeks later one of the ports went out on the dvr. I called Lorex Technology, after determining the dvr had a hardware issue, I was sent a (that looked like new) replacement which arrived within a few days. It was in packaging just like the one I bought and looked brand new. There was also an issue setting up the ddns account which took a little time but is resolved. There are no problems watching the cameras on my smart phone. I am very happy with the system and the customer support during all of this.
I will be adding more cameras if needed.
When asked, I tell others the same thing I mentioned above.

This is my second Lorex system. The first was purchased in the 90's for a business I ran. After closing my business I set it up in my home so I could see and talk to someone at the front door from the basement. This system did not record. I purchased the wireless 4 channel system from Costco after 2 nieghbours were broken into. I had the system up and running in about 2 hours, and have viewing on my computers, iPads and IPhones. My unit only has 4 inputs but is the same model number.

Looking for a system to monitor our home , just for a piece of mind.
Looked for several weeks and a lot of web sites. I came up with lorex a trusted system. Had trouble with the hook up with the modem but called for help, and they hooked up the system and went through it with me by hooking up to my computer and went through everything by camera to camera loading each one as I needed to to record , I told them I would need to hook up the other two cameras but I thought I could do it my self ! ( wrong ) lol so I called them back and with ease they did it again (GREAT SUPPORT ) LOVE THIS SYSTEM !
only problem is my wireless got a little slower ! calling them back today to fix that it they cant I will take it off the modem (its for seeing on the I phone app ) I don't need and use it the way I wanted to do in the first place not using my modem ! we will see but for the most part great picture day and night. Ether way going to get 4 more cameras in the next few months to complete this system.
You can't go wrong with lorex love the wireless spite the modem mess up , and then we will see if it can be fixed !

I'm giving this product 3.5 stars. I do like the product, overall. It works well. The reason for "not being perfect" is that this system interferes with wifi internet a lot! I did not know that originally. Long story short, I bought both a new 5 GHz router and also a couple USB adapters for 5 GHz wifi internt, as the Lorex system drives 2.4 GHz wifi into the ground - dropping wifi speeds greatly. I suppose it's all working out well in the long run, as I do now have much faster wifi on 5 GHz. Just a "learning curve" that I had to go through, with some angst along the way. Otherwise though, the camera system itself, running on 2.4 GHz, does work well for what it is. I'd recommend it if one knows fully what one is getting into...

Peace of mind right? Knowing what happened while you were sleeping or away is peace of mind. We had our vehicle vandalized on 2-14-15. Our neighbor called in the morning telling us what had happened. I walked over to the out security camera and it was all caught on the cameras. We, with the help of the community were able to get the vehicle and the plates all because we posted the video on facebook. Had i not had the cameras we never would have known what happened. Cameras work great. Very easy to install. One thing you may need to get is a signal enhancer so none of the cameras are stuck on a image because of poor reception. Poor reception is cause ld by wires in the wall from what im told. I submitted a ticket for support and i recieved my answer within a day through email. Im happy with the decision to get cameras. These do the job. Great pickup

Since installing my LOREX Wireless camera's (2) with an additional two (2) on order they have amazed me with both clarity and detail. The clarity of the camera especially at night is like as though you are watching it during the day. The detail also is second to none, and with initial concerns about using wireless camera's, from those who have tried other products, my concerns have been put to rest and would highly recommend the LOREX Model LH030400 to others. The ease of installation took only 30 minutes to have them up and running. That was due to the initial placement and running the power cable to an outlet as they are mounted to the exterior of the sunroom. Some drilling was required for the power cable, other than that the setup was smooth and easy for virtually anyone with no experience. Before I forget, you can watch the camera's on any PC, IPhone or Android while away and it also forwards emails to you if you set up the system this way. Hopefully they can get an app for Blackberry users soon

I purchased this system about 7 months ago. Installation was fairly easy and it has worked perfectly for what I wanted. The system only had 2 cameras with it so I decided a month ago I wanted to complete the system by adding two cameras. I installed the cameras and they were immediately viewable on my system monitor. However, I couldn't view them through my cell phone any longer. I contacted Lorex support and got a young lady named Teri G. She spent a couple of hours on the phone and working through my computer but I still couldn't view them from my mobile device. She checked my Internet speed and determined it was far too slow. I upgraded my network speed the following morning but still couldn't connect to my Lorex DVR. Terri G. was terrific and refused to give up. She set me up with a DDNS url on the Lorex server and kept at it until she got it working. Just to be clear, the issue wasn't with the Lorex product. It was an issue in my router that was causing the request for connection to be rerouted. Terri figured it out and got me going. The cameras work perfectly and I can now access them from anywhere in the world. I am extremely happy with the service I received from Lorex and especially Teri G.

This ws my first time using a security camera system. I purchased the Lorex Wireless LH030 Eco Blackbox 3 Series security system to provide surveillance tor my home. I wanted to be able to have a visual for my surroundings outside and when I am away. I had some difficulty with the Lorex Stratus App. I was not able to access it. I called tech support and Shanna the tech I spoke with worked with me for 2 hours to correct the problem. Lorex is diligent in trying to resolve any tech problems that you may have. :) We were unable to correct it even though she was dilligent about getting it to work. I called my Internet service provider and there was an issue with the Mac address for a new modem/router that I had installed. After correcting the modem issue, I was able to download the app on all of my devices, and the app worked fine. I still have difficulty loading the camera live view information on my cell phone when I am out of town. I have not tried to view it on my iPad and laptop yet.
I am very satisfied with the clarity of images both night and day which the cameras provide. I plan to purchase two more cameras, because the system only came with two. It was super easy to install and the wireless works fine. I would give it five stars if it were not for the difficulty with the usage of the app.

Recently purchased LH 030 Blackbox 3 Eco. Easy to install. The picture from cameras is much better than previous dvr. Only disappointment is that the motion sensor is triggered by headlights, even with the motion sensing area configured to a small area. We recently moved into a new house and our insurance agent suggested either an alarm company or a surveillance system. Since I use these at work, I thought I would get one for the house. Within 24 hours of setting it up, we caught a coupe of guys checking out the property and trying the doors. It's nice to be able to give the local police videos of them. I purchased this product online. It looks like it has great potential. However, I still have not received the proper power supplies for the cameras. I opened a ticket and Lorex quickly resolved part of my issue. I was supposed to receive two power supplies with each one having the ability to power 4 cameras. Instead I only received one as a result of placing a trouble ticket.
It has now been one week since I followed up my complaint with another ticket and I have yet to hear any reply. I would rate this product higher if I did not have so much trouble getting the equipment I was supposed to receive the first time/

I purchased the 2 camera wireless system Model LH030 from Costco. Found the installation was a little confusing if you only wanted to use a PC and not a monitor or TV. The Quick Start Guide could give different scenarios on how to hook up. I would consider myself about middle of the road when it comes to technical computer problems and would have appreciated more information on the PC setup and software application in the Quick Guide. Also, the actual use of the software once installed was not as intuitive to use so resorted to calling Technical Support to help set up what I needed and then downloadedt the manual (though was 160 pages long and included some of the other models/systems information). I did call Tech support twice to initially get the PC setup up and running and then a few days later to get information on questions about viewing on iPad Mini and Android Tablet along with the PC. With the Tech support everything is up and running fine. Excellent service on the Technical side.

Set-up and installation was easy. Daytime image quality was excellent. Instructions recommended all of the camera's be tested prior to final installation to determine if they could communicate with their corresponding receiving unit. One camera could not communicate (too many walls and distance) so I will try an antenna booster. Cameras have capability to look directly at the sun and electronically filter out the extreme brightness (dot) of the sun. Didn't purchase a camera system with an included monitor as I intended to use my old PC monitor to view images. Infra-red LEDs illuminate in total darkness, however there is a significant reduction in image quality and sharpness. Cameras are 12 volt yet they each require a mini-transformer (included) that plugs into a 110 volt outlet. Camera can to be installed outside directly over an exterior electrical box, however, approximately 6' of wiring and the transformer must be stuffed into the box. If there is insufficient room inside the box this type of installation will require shortening of camera wires and removal of electrical plug to facilitate hard-wiring camera to home's electrical system.

I was very deliberate in my search for a video surveillance system. Reading users reviews and comments of various products across the spectrum of available systems. Lorex/Flir came out on top in my reading of different forums and retailer websites. The system was more than easy to set up in comparison to other tech undertakings. By no means a techie, I found it manageable and completed the task within 6-8 hours (took my time, no hurry). It has been very nice getting updates to my phone, watching video of the house on my work computer, and email alerts when something goes wrong with the system. The motion sensor sensitivity zones was exceptionally easy. And so far, the three times I've talked to support, they have been very patient and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this product, and I'm a veterinarian, not a computer geek, and don't work for the company.

System works well. The only problem we had was with the remote viewing but after speaking to technical support and finding out that most of the problem was my internet provider we solved the problem.

We purchased this camera bundle and we finally have the cameras set up and working. Installation was more detailed than expected. We had to drill holes in the house to get the wires to the DVR, make adjustments to make sure we had all the angles we needed covering and now we realize we need additional wires for length because we have another area we need covered. Right now I can see the perimeter of my property and that makes me happy but I wish it was easier to purchase the Lorex brand as far as physically being able to play with all types of Lorex systems and get expert opinions about use before purchasing because now I wish I had brought a different system .

For the price I paid I was not expecting it too be as exceptional as it is. I knew it was going to be good because I read reviews before purchasing, but not that good. Night vision is the best. Everything is pretty simple to operate. You have 24/7 visual on your phone/ipad/android, etc. Besides the 20 min wait, their customer service is very helpful and patient. Great quality product and price.

Overall the system the system was easy to install. I had to install a couple extra outlets so that the cameras had power, but the wireless integration went together smoothly. On a side note, beware of installing the DVR and wireless receivers too close to your home wireless internet router. I found that the system did interfere with my 2.4 WiFi radio and thus I had to relocate the antennas.

Good product. Able to put into production in a reasonable amount of time. Quality of cameras good. Would like to have more documentation come with package rather than having to go on line. For the price this will be be an asset. I did try to call support for a question about my registration. I purchased at SAMs club USA and that was not an option for purchased location so I went with SAMs club Canada. Hope that does not cause me any problems later. The support system informed me my call would be answered in the next 40 minutes, not so good I hung up.

This product was very easy to install and operate. I would definitely recommend this product to any "Do It Yourselfer". I am planning on purchasing two additional cameras for my system in the near future. Great picture quality. You will have to download the instruction manual from the website to help in fine tuning the product to your needs.

I bought the 4 channel LH030 wireless camera system this weekend and set it up in a matter of minutes. I cant get remote access from outside my house yet but all my other devices seem to work. The picture quality is good and I love that I can get email alerts with a snapshot of what was detected.

I did a lot of home work looking for the right security system for our home. I must say that the LH30400 that I purchased from Lorex is just what I was looking for. I will say that the first DVR that the system came with gave me some problems with the e-mail notification to my cell. After talking to tech. support to get help, they ended up sending me a new DVR with no hassle in a couple days. Now the system is working just fine.

I did much research and found the LH030 to be the best for the money spent. Easy to set up and better picture quality then I expected. Tech support was very helpful with the only problem I had which was getting it to send emails. It took several calls but they did take care of issue...the only problem now is that I'm getting way to many emails with camera outside and having a hard time adjusting sensitivity levels, at night time no matter how much you adjust sensitivity it just don't activate until you are 2 feet away from camera and during the day it is activated constantly when wind is blowing the trees.. If you record 24/7 you can be covered and just forget the nuisance emails. The only problem I see is if someone breaks in and takes hard drive I'm left with no evidence. Good product for the price and I'm thinking about adding two more cameras to the system. I've read most of other reviews and it seems we are all on the same page.

The Lorex 2 camera wireless system was very easy to install. I have the DVR located about 75 feet from the cameras in my basement office and do not have any signal problems. It is amazing how good the night vision is. Had a problem with the password and called Tech Support. They were great in resolving my problem.

Don't be afraid to spend the money.

I liked the fact the cameras were wireless and waterproof because my main use was for outside coverage. The system was very easy to set up. I downloaded all of the pdf files for reference if needed.
During the late afternoon, the image on my NEC display and iPad was very respectable. As the day progressed, the images got grainier. Once it got dark, I was able to give the system the real acid test. Outside of my garage, I have a single 60 watt light I keep lit all night. The DVR was physically on the second floor near my Linksys WRT1900AC router. My wife and I were on the driveway where the only lumination was the light previously mentioned. We were approx. 20 feet from the DVR. I temporarily attached the camera to a 6' ladder near my garage door. My truck, approx. 25 feet away was able to be seen ok. The license plate was not.
When my wife and I were in view of the camera, we both were washed out ghost silhouettes and our faces were not clear at all. I looked at the recorded video, and nothing we saw of ourselves could be used if we needed to involve the police. Also we noticed any vehicles that drove by were blurry.
I am giving the system three stars because it is very usable for daylight use and indoor use most of the time. For outdoor use, I recommend pass on this system and look at higher end HD camera systems.

Overall, the experience with the produc has been very positive. Out of the box it was easy to use, set up and install. The user interface is comparable to other products on the market which makes it familiar when trying to navigate the settings and functionality of the system. I do have my reserves on the range or reach of the wireless camera system. Advertised as an indoor/outdoor solution, I primarily needed this for the outside of my home. The signal strength of the wireless technology could be better. I do not want to have to purchase additonal extension wires to bring the repeaters within a stronger range of the cameras. The single bars concern me when mounted on my detached garage. Other than the wireless repeater issues the product lives up to its reviews and advertising. I would recommend this product to others who have similair small properties such as my own.

We have been researching security cameras for over a year now and decided that the LH030 would be perfect for us. Unfortunately, we will not be using the access via tablet or phone because we do not have good internet access. We purchased the system 3 days ago and after downloading the instruction manual, had no problem setting up a motion detection system that works great. The pictures are nice and clear and love that you can set specific areas for the motion detection so that trees will not set it off. It appears this is just what we've been looking for .... and an affordable price. Also will have the option to add 2 more cameras and the remote viewing in the future.

Very good camera, I had a problem with one of the wireless receiver when I set it up on a Sunday. I called CS (open on a Sunday!) and they took care of issue once I set up warranty online. I work in Security as a tech and for the price this system is great and I would recommend this to any small business or home owner. If you purchase this system make sure you setup the warranty immediately is will speed up any issues encountered and tech support if here in the USA and level three support so issues are fixe in the first 10 minutes.

Overall this system is pretty good and was easy for me to setup. Good reception on all cameras. Remote viewing works as expected. A couple annoying issues.... there is no on/ off switch, and no manuals included in the box.
Also when setting up, make sure to set it up with a static DDNS to prevent issues when the ISP changes the IP address.
I would recommend this system.

We purchased the LH030 Eco Blackbox Wireless with 2 camera system and purchased two additional cameras. Installation was pretty easy but had to download the operator's manual for the set-up of the cameras to the DVR. This is a good quality surveillance system for the money that is basically easy to install. Would recommend to anyone that is looking for a good system. I am also impressed with being able to access the system via my Laptop when we are away from home.

Installation was quick easy. Setting up cameras in app quick and easy for a moment . Picture is good during day. Nighttime is ok.After a month I could no longer view cameras on app. Customer service takes 15-20 mins to get a hold of. First call 45 mins and the lady hung up when she couldn't set it up. 2nd call 58 mins and we had to disconnect so I could call my cable company about router password, first service rep had no problem with password. 3rd call it took 60 mins with one rep and then transferred to supervisor who took 55 mins and solved the problem by connecting through IP address at home and a different one when away. Week later connecting to app wasn't possible again but this time I just had to unplug and replug unit. A major issue with wireless cameras is it interferes with your WIFI causing it to be slow or no WIFI. After a month and half of complaining to cable company and having technicians out we came to the conclusion that it was the cameras. Cameras off WIFI great. Contacted Lorex online and they said I have to get a dual band router. Really where was that when I bought it. That's an extra $150

To be honest with you i am having problems right out of the box. The mouse doesn't work with the DVR and neither does my remote. But when i hook the mouse up to my laptop it works fine. All i can do is see a live view. I cant set the date or anything because i cant access the menu on the DVR. The worse thing is i have been waiting for a response from LOREX TECH support for almost four days now. If im going to pay $350 for something i would expect it to work.

I received the cameras faster than i thought. This wireless system was very easy to install ( I expected to have more problems with the installation).
Even though, there is a wall, the wireless is working fine with no issues.
The only thing i am not 100% happy with, is the quality of pictures.
I feel more comfortable now, having such a good surveilance system. I would recommend the system to everyone.

Very easy to set up. Camera seem to be pretty good. Night vision is really cool. Having a little difficulty setting up the internet viewer for my system, but have not spent too much time on it. The wifi works good with the exception of putting cameras out in the alley side of my garage. I keep moving the DVR closer to get signal.

I love the system. It came in a nice package. Everything that you need is in there. Easy to install and set up. The software works perfect. If in addition to email messaging can be added to the system would be better b/c we tend to check our messages more frequently than our emails.

We purchased the LH030 Eco Blackbox wireless 2 camera system with plans to purchase 2 additional cameras. Installation was easy with the quick guides included in the box however they are not as in-depth as they need to be. The further instructions needed to set up our online account, so you can view outside of your network, were not included in the quick guide. We downloaded the full manual online to get this final step accomplished. Once that was complete the system was in full working mode.

Product was very simple to understand. Installation was simple requiring only a ladder and screwdriver. My wife and I can check on our property with ease from the app on our smart phone or laptop. Initially purchased the LH028501C4WB wireless unit, but wireless signal did not work through 12" thick stone walls. Returned the unit and purchased the LH030800 wired system. Installation of 2 cameras took almost a full day with an electrician, but those cameras were working that evening. Plan on installing 2 more cameras over the weekend myself.

The cameras work well, but for any support there are holds of 15-20 minutes, and customer service and technical support flip you from one to the other. Also, entered a ticket 4 days ago to have the LH028501C4WB unit removed from my profile because it comes up as default, but ticket remains open.
