When the system is up and running it works great. I can log into it from anywhere. However, when you encounter a problem with it such as I did only several months into installing it the tech support is not helpful. Three of my 8 cameras started to fail. They had a very bright pinkish to purple hue. It made it difficult to view what was on the screen. I inquire with tech support. I explained to them I believe the cameras are toast. They were convinced it was the cable. Therefore only the cable was replaced. It ended up being the cameras. Warranty is now up and I'm in need of new camera. I'm currently shopping for an alternative. This is disappointing. I was quiet excited when I first set it up. I've only had the system 2 years and 3 cameras have failed with in the first several months. I'm hoping Lorex will come up with a solution.
I have a 6 cam system and have had to replace a majority of my CVC7711s. I replaced two of them with the model CVC7723 but have only had them for 6 months. I've gone through all of my spares (2) and in addition, Lorex has replaced two - one within warranty and one as a courtesy. What happens in all cases of my failures is that suddenly, the colors wash out. Grass is green but the concrete is a washed out blue. Roofs are purple, etc. Maybe I just got a bad batch??? Very frustrating!
Actually I just replaced a CVC7711 within the last hour with my last spare! So now I have no spares. Hopefully the CVC7723 will prove more reliable. If they hold up over a year, I'll just resolve to replace the remaining 7711s as/if they fail. If these 7723 fail, I will look at alternatives that offer documented reliability.
Thank you for your feedback. Our apologies for any difficulty you have experienced. Our customer service team was happy to assist you with a resolution.

I have eight of these cameras. Of the eight one was DOA. The others are giving excellent service. I do have one complaint and it is a general comment. The BNC cabling connectors are very sensitive and easy to damage. I have purchased some after market cables and they are much stronger.

I just upgraded (4 Cameras) to tvl the 700 ( I had the old 480 tvl with my old lh108 system)
What a great different, my old cameras where metal nice. The (771) new ones are plastic not too sure about that, feels cheap,. Works great! That?s is why it is only getting 4 stars

Very easy to install and adjust and the picture clarity is awesome. I thought I would need to purchase the 1080i HD cameras but I was wrong and so glad I didn't spend the extra money!
