Lorex uses security certified hard drives that are manufactured specifically to manage the high workloads of the security environment. Designed to be in constant operation, the 2TB hard drive within the DV7082 HD DVR can store weeks (or even months) of recorded footage. Adjust the DVR settings to record at a lower resolution (or program scheduled recording times) to maximize hard drive space. The motion-triggered recording option saves additional storage space by only recording when movement is detected.

4. Requires a high speed internet connection and a router (not included). A minimum upload speed of 1Mbps is required for the best video performance. Up to 2 devices may connect to the system at the same time.

I have had the lorex security cameras and dvr 708 d for about 7 mths. So far they are working fine .The night vision are great on the bullets cameras.
Would recommend this system to buyers.

Pros: Great 1080p picture while it worked.

Cons: Fan is loud, runs hot, have to use supplied cables (cables from my previous system were lesser quality and affected the quality of the picture), stopped working after 7 months, impossible to reach anyone concerning warranty service.

Nobody at FLIR Lorex responds to online ticketing system. Have written three in last two weeks without any response.
Have waited long past the "estimated" wait times, nobody has ever answered the phone. Left phone number to avoid estimated wait time, but nobody called back.
"Live Help" is perpetually offline. Left a message, never got a response.

Buy at your own risk. In my unhappy experience, FLIR Lorex makes an undependable product and the warranty is worthless.

The DVR is great so far. Probably should have installed it in my equipment is a little loud for our entertainment center, however, a wireless mouse is not available so had to place it there.

There is one flaw.....your tech support and customer service are really BAD! One tech support rep told me that you do not get a power supply for the cameras and that you attach a 110v plug to the black and red power leads! HUH? Now customer service..... Have been trying to return two cameras for two weeks now (replacing them with four upgraded cameras). Have an open return request waiting for approval and two open tickets to address the inactivity. Still waiting and getting frustrated, but the new cameras will be here tomorrow.

Both customer service and tech support are very hard to understand and the phone volumn is very LOW. After three weeks into this new area for me I believe I could be one of their best tech support persons.

I now have a new rule......before I purchase any product from any company, I will call their support folks to see how long I am on hold and whether I can understand then. Also test their skill set.

Would give them 5 stars were it not for support issues. The picture quality is wonderful and functionality is great!

I recently purchased this item to replace an older analog system. The change over was easy, and quick. You do need to DNL the smart phone application which is helpful if you are away from your location.
This change over was very easy and without hesitation I would recommend this unit, you will need a monitor that takes a HDI input to get maximum value, but those type of monitors can be purchased cheaply at Best Buy.

I never write reviews which is sad because I depend on them myself. This DVR works extremely well. The set up is easy and it works. I paired it with two of the PTZ 1080 cameras. I have never seen with such clarity. The recording video is excellent, the playback works great, and it all works seamlessly. It set up on my phone, Ipad, and computer. I ended up calling support which was fabulous because I made a simple mistake and they walked me right through it. Both times I called they answered right away, were friendly, and had me fixed quick. I was overcomplicating the easiness of set up. The time stamps are dead on when tied to a network. My older cameras worked fine with the new unit. The thing is just very easy to use and navigate around. Great Job Lorex!!!

My order # L457860 from May 20/ 2016 with 2 defected from the day I received. I Called and Lorex replaced one defect model LE2712B and other LZV1722B with ticket # 139774, I haven't see anything yet. Also Lorex said will send me an one year and six month warranty if I write a customer
review. I did wrote 2 time but I Haven't see the warranty send it to me yet. Please , do it right to me as your customer. Thank you for your time to read my issue with your company. The receipt said : Try it, Test it and Return it within 60 days if you are not satisfied*

We bought the 1080 HD DVR to replace a old DVR that no longer worked. It was a easy install. Unplug the old unit and pug our new in and it work fine even with our old cameras of a different brand.. With the FLIR app we can watch our house from anywhere..

Bought this with the 4x 720P wireless camera package. Easy setup and was able to get system up and running in minutes. Like the fact that this also allows remote access to via phone/ipad. Really like the search feature. We init. bought the system to catch a doorbell ditcher, and that did it on it's 1st night with the night vision. Still can't figure out how to take a snapshot of the video and email it from the DVR. That should be much simpler. Overall, great value for the functions.

Easy to set up, I bought this with 4 dome camera's. The problem I had was I didnt check the dome's before installing them and it tuned out one camera did not work and one power cord did not work but they are going to replace them. I can't figure out yet why one camera is much better picture they the other, when I go into each camera settings I can get a higher frame rate and higher bir rate then my other one witch does not make any sense, maybe I will have to talk to the tech support. The night vision and distance is better then I had hopped, I need to instal a light in the one area to help my night vision.

I bought this DVR to replace the PC based recorder I was using. Works Great! I also bought some better HD cameras, LBV2723B, and now can really monitor some locations where my old cameras did not have enough resolution. I am also still using some of the old cameras where the distance is short. I haven't tried to use the FLIR technology and put this on the web yet, put that is going to be a big plus.

This unit is quieter than any other unit I have owned. This is my third one too. It preforms excellent and has the FLIR option available so my wife and I can view all our cameras on the web and our cell phones away from the house and off our own network. I love this unit.
