Love our Lorex DVR. Gives us peace of mind when not home and allows us to see what's going on outside while we are home. We've used the system several times to review a day's events when there was suspicious incidents occurring in our neighborhood and even caught someone sneaking up to our house to look in the windows during the night! the only problem I have had with this unit from the begging was the remote. I could never get it working. now having problems with the mouse need to turn unit off and back on for mouse to register. disappointed now that I added more camera's had to slow fps down to 10 to get the 960h resolution

I really like this system. I've had it for sometime now and I haven't had any problems as of yet. I do however use a cooling fan under the dvr because it's never off. The clarity for day/night vision is amazing. I love the fact that I have audio and I can hear what's going on outside my home. I will never buy another system besides LOREX. They have not failed me in all the years of using them.

I've had my system (16 channel) for 9 months now. I've already had to replace the hard drive once and just replaced it the second time. Now I have a problem with the password that I forgot and can't do anything with the system. I contacted customer service and the response I got was to call them so we could talk, nothing else.
At this point, I don't recommend these systems due to their customer service and the quality of their product. 2 hard drives, poor customer service within 9 months is not acceptable. I install systems part time and have 4 systems on my books now waiting. I'm going to seek another manufacturer and not purchase any more systems

It is a little noisy, more than a regular computer, don't recommend you to set it up in your bedroom. The reason why I don't give it a 5 stars is because I am very disappointed with the quality of the wireless video cameras. There is only one wooden door and a distance of 10 ft between the camera and the unit yet the image is not sharp, it makes it hard individual recognition. I don't know if it is the wireless technology that has not gone that far to provide a clear image.

The system was impressive right out of the box.
Install was quick and easy.
Cameras were actually quite good, night vision is superb.
Only thing that I can fault is the cameras tend to black out for up to a minute then come back on.
Have tried all settings but I assume this is normal.
After about a month the unit started making a horrible noise.
I thought it was the hard drive but after opening it up noticed that the 2 small fans were not tightened and they worked themselves loose. Also notice that there was a small fan blade sitting in the bottom of the case, probably from rattling around.

But overall for the price as compared to the competition I am very impressed with the system and would recommend it to anyone.

The mobile app works great on my Samsung S4 and my wife's IPhone. Recording functions, motion detection and night vision are Very good for what you pay. Hard drive stores about 8 weeks of events and even my children can navigate the software. Rea the manuals and installation is not that difficult. Overall pretty impressive, just remember if you want HD quality you will need better cameras.

I installed three of the four cameras supplied with the order. Although I still must learn how to operate the recording functions, everything seems to work. I sometimes have color problems with one camera, e.g. green looks bright orange. While checking to see if I could adjust the cameras during installation, it was still tightened down too much and the mount hole cracked. I have had one lock-up while checking the recording settings.

The system seems to be stable and the web site worked without problems.

BNC connectors are too close and are brittle. One broke off while trying to connect cables and now I am down a channel. The DVR freezes up occasionally during playback. Cameras black out. Hard drive is noisy and sometimes grinds.Overall disappointing. Also had to hire an IT consultant to set up web streaming. Tech support was not very helpful and even insulting on one occasion.

Decided it is too painful to try to access on my cell phone (which is a real bummer), now have warranty issue and can't get customer service to answer phone.....

- This is the second system I have ordered/installed from Lorex. The setup was pretty simple/straight-forward, the price point is virtually unbeatable ans Support has been (while sometimes cold) acceptable or above expectation.

I recently purchased and installed the 16 camera system. Installation of the system was simple, connection to the network and phone using the ddns was also simple. Great instructions and ease of use are important to me and this system met my expectations.

I can now be anywhere and see all of my cameras on the phone and if something is strange, I can also take a snapshot on the phone.

Highly recommend the Lorex, cost, ease of use and ability to perform are the best.

With my Vantage Eco Series system, I got even more than I had hoped for. I literally got everything that I needed in two boxes to provide security via surveillance for our entire home and shop. The system is complete and the instructions are as straight forward as they could be. The one time I called tech services to check on a system capability, I got superb service and straight, no-nonsense answers from a fantastic technician who answered my questions with no hype...just skill.

I have this system connected to a home computer for direct monitoring and I also use the Lorex Eco app on my Android-based phone. Both work great.

I have installed a few systems similar to this one in the past, but by far, this is the best that I have encountered. I will be purchasing additional Lorex products as well as recommending them to my friends and family.

We had a break-in occur just over a week ago and decided to purchase the LH126 Security Camera Package with DVR / 8 cameras and so far have been very pleased with the results. If we had installed this sooner, we would've been able to identify the thieves, which would've been a huge help. We live in an area with very few neighbours and none with a view of our home, so this system does the trick nicely to keep an eye on things when we can't.

Setup was very easy and the system was up and running and recording very quickly. It's very reassuring to know that if anything happens now, it's just a matter of looking up the camera footage to see what went down. Also very convenient to have time stamped video to provide police with evidence. The cameras included with the package are very clear in daylight and pretty decent at night, although I can see upgrading a couple of cams in the future for use at critical entry points. That being said, I'm very happy with what I have at the moment.

Being able to view the cams on the internet while away from home is a huge bonus and one of the deciding factors in this purchase. Works great on the PC. I only wish they would release an updated App for IOS7 on the iPad. The current one doesn't work at all.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for an added line of defense and sense of security at their home.

I called Lorex they told me i was under waranty but i would have to give them the serial numbers to the ones that were faulty before the year was up. So now i have to find someone to climb get the serial number for me. Too much money thrown at this already. Just not very happy

Tried 2 brands of camera systems and Lorex is by far been the superior product. Clear pictures and very reliable. This system was an upgrade for me so I've had cams on my house for over 2 years and no problem. Support is awesome and easy. So is installation. I have been buying and installing Lorex products for several years now. This unit, purchased for my own use, was purchased after careful consideration. It is the third of this model number I have installed.

One very good feature of this unit is the web access. It is exceptionally easy, where as previous models had a little more challenge to them.
this unit is also compatible with an android app called IPCam, which i highly recommend. Yes, Lorex has their own app, and if you only need access to this one unit, it will serve you fine. For my use, i monitor several units, and several manufacturers. i need an app that supports this.

i have always found Lorex to be reliable, and long lasting. It is also at a very attractive price. (usually.) I purchased these latest units at BJs, and that seems to be the best price-wise.

Tech support at Lorex has been very helpful, the few times i actually needed to call them.

Iburchased my first 4 camera [expandable to 8 camera] system it was easy for a pre . com era senior to hook up & get going in a very short time I expanded to 8 cameras it is almost 2 years old works great
I like it so much I ordered another 8 camera system & havent had time to hook it up yet
for the money & ease of operation I think it is the best system on the market
the factory support is great thyanks lorex
