Working is very good and very easy to set up.
My DVR was broken and the warranty period has expired.
But, Lorex gave a free 1-year warranty and replace new DVR.
Lorex customer service and A/S were very good.

Works well other than how difficult it is to set up and get the DDNS working. I eventually gave up. Just keeping the system in case of a burglary. Still happy with the product.

The neighborhood I live in isn"t considered the safest, numerous homes in the area have been broken in to. Now with my Lorex Edge and remote viewing I feel so much more secure, it made quite a difference on my home insurance policy, not just the theft part, but liability as well, as my agent said a picture tells a thousand words. Thank you Lorex for your amazing products they were so easy to install.

I installed your LH314 four camera security system and was having some difficulty getting the remote viewing connected. Lorex technical assistance provided me help during 3 calls in between which I consulted Comcast customer service to make sure there was nothing on their end blocking the ports needed to connect the remote viewing. I also had 2 calls with Applecare to make sure I was configuring my Apple Airport router properly for port forwarding of the needed ports. All the Lorex techs were polite and knowledgeable but the last one who finally succeeded was particularly skilled. He instructed me in what setting to change on the DVR to finally enable remote viewing. I am very grateful. It affirmed my faith in Lorex and its technical assistance team in standing behind their porducts!

Based on a recommendation from a neighbor, I purchased a wireless four camera-DVR system on line. It took many long waits on the phone to talk to someone and to get a call-back. After placing my ordeer, the charge promptly showed up on my credit card. Over a week went by with no e-mail notification of shipping. I called back and entered service tickets and had to go through several sales reps to get my product shipped. It arrived in good shape finally and I was able to set it up out of the box easily. The cameras and DVR are working very well now. I also figured out how to get remote view on my smart phone and on my PC after submitting another service ticket. I am pleased with the performance of the system and with the on-line instruction manual. If you can stand the frustration of waiting time to contact LOREX by phone or e-mail then I would highly recommend this system.

I purchased additional Model 960H Varifocal camera(s) because I was so impressed with the image quality in daylight and night vision conditions.
The adjustable angle and distance is also fantastic.
It's a very easy setup to connect the wired camera(s) to the back of the monitor...
It's virtually a plug and play system.
I only wish the made this camera was available in wireless.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the 960H Varifocal to anyone interested in a purchasing quality camera(s) at an affordable price.

I purchased the affordable Lorex LNC116 stream camera(s).
The camera(s) setup was easy as was the CD setup on my PC, MAC and Laptop and App
downloading for my IPAD and smartphone.
To record you must insert a mini SD card up to a max of 32g which is not supplied.
The camera(s) daytime and night vision recording quality is excellent.
It's nice to be able to monitor my home and property from a remote location, and that's worth every penny as it puts me in control.
On the negative side, while I was away there was a power outage which meant the camera(s) went offline.
When the power resumed, I had no way of reconnecting my camera(s) remotely.
I called Lorex service and was told through a recording that my call would be answered in 45 minutes.
When the service technician finally got around to taking my call, he told me to re sync my router and camera(s) by pushing the WPA button on the router and camera(s).
Impossible when your 1500 miles away.....which meant my camera(s) stayed offline till I returned home.

I suppose if the LNC116 camera(s) were connected to my router through an Ethernet cable, this may or may not have been an issue.

That being said, the whole purpose of going wireless is to connect the strategically placed camera(s) to the router without having to trip over Ethernet cables.

so my rating is between 3. 5 and 4 for the LNC116 camera(s) and a 2 for the Lorex service.

Being hold for 45 mins plus to me is NOT service especially when your issue can not be resolved.

In my opinion, It's time Lorex hires more service technicians.

I purchased the reasonably priced Lorex Edge LH328 home surveillance system.
The system came with 2 wired and 2 wireless LW2201 cameras.
I love the touch screen function and the camera(s) day and night vision clarity.
I also purchased 2 Varifocal - model 960H cameras. They too have fantastic day and night vision clarity.
The plug and play installation is great as is the various record functions.
But what's really nice is being able to view, playback, record etc. from an IPAD, Laptop, PC or smartphone from anywhere there is internet service.
I can monitor my home from wherever I am and that control is worth every penny.

If I have any negative comment(s), it's not with the equipment but rather with the service department.
Like other reviewers, it's not abnormal to be on hold for 30 minutes or more before being able to discuss your issue(s) with a service technician.

To me this is NOT customer service especially if your calling from a mobile phone.

To gain a customer is good but to retain that customer is GREAT.
Without customers a company wouldn't be in business
Customer response times should be 10 minutes or less and if that means hiring more technical support staff....so be it.

So my review on the products is 4 but on the customer support it's a 2.

well the fact i have nothing but time to sit and write this while i wait for customer service should say enough... avoid the lorex products, we have 4 systems and nothing but problems and then jerked around on warranty.
40 + minutes to wait for service rep on phone is a joke...
we have had to send 3 units back to manufacturer for replacement over the past 3 years...
waste of money and i will be advising costco not to carry this crappy brand anymore..

Great set up and software. We have one camera that isn't working but just submitted the ticket and so far lorex is following up nicely even though telephone wait time was 40 mins. I emailed and created my ticket and have received folow ups that they will get back to me. Hopefully a programming issue and not faulty hardware but that remains to be seen. The other three cameras all work great. I will follow up as soon as the one camera that isn't working is resolved

I purchased the black box 3 series lh030 worked great for a week, now between the customer care hours of operation and the waiting on hold it seams it will be a good 2 weeks maybe before I get any help on replacing my unit . The tech support was great, but once they dreamed my unit defective the customer support end is horrible... I read a lot of great reviews for this produce and line , now it makes me wonder .... Feeling like I got the short end of the stick

Support is almost non-existent. Only buy from Lorex if you will never need to ask a question.
Two years in and I finally got all 16 cameras working - but nothing else besides remote viewing.
Don't say you have not been warned.
And don't believe their Facebook likes - they offer a 1 year warranty extension if you like them on Facebook and then do not honor the warranty. It appears that the support staff is overwhelmed and under trained. They will close tickets by giving you non-related goofy answers and after a couple of years you just give up. I used to be mad, now it is just a sad waste of $1000+

I think the overall rating for this product is good. The quality of the cameras are good, but the resolution for a 480 is not that good for facial recognition when the camera is placed at a distance. Remote viewing has been difficult for me to access. Support for this has been limited or nonexistent and I still have yet to be able to access remotely. My overall rating for this product is average 3 stars because of the usability and accessability of remote viewing. The support for this is yet to be addressed for me. I would recommend this system for anyone on a budget, however I feel that this requires some networking and computer system knowledge.

This is my second Lorex system and it is terrible. I have continuing problems with both the DVR and the cameras that came with it. The DVR continues to send images via e-mail that are not viewable. My original DVR failed and replaced only to have the replacement with the same issues. For no reason at all the DVR stopped retaining the video for reference and when it did, some days were there and some were not. There are issues with not having full functionality of the PTZ camera and several of the cameras have failed. The issues are many and on going.

I would not recommend this to anyone.

I have 3 Lorex Edge DVR's in two locations. At one location I am using :80 and :81 to access over the net. I have nat'd so everything connects in and is routed to the correct IP address on my local net.

Everything worked great until recently. The clients are not working properly on Mavericks and I have intermittent connectivity when using the PC client.

I already jumped ship from Q-See years ago, but I think after some pretty horrible video quality, network issues, and poor software support I think I may need to look at some better equipment

Bought the 8 channel DVR with 4 wireless cameras and could not be more happy. I have read several reviews about installation being a bear but I had mine up and running in about an hour minus installation of individual cameras.
The only real hurdle I had to overcome was the amount of signal over my wifi which required me to purchase an additional router to separate the traffic. This was a small set back but in reality a good one because I am now getting a better signal overall with all of my devices. Looking forward to the weather getting better so I can install my last two cams outside.
I used this system in place of a $250 baby cam that would be useless after the baby is grown. Now I have inside and outside coverage home and away. Worth the investment.

I PURCHASED THE LOREX EDGE+ 16 CAMERA IN NOVEMBER 2011. THE TOUCHSCREEN MONITOR WENT OUT BEFORE BEING 2 YEARS OLD. I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING LOREX ABOUT THE SCREEN SINCE AUGUST OF 2013. THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD REPLACE IT FOR $125.OO.I PAID THE $125 AND THEY SHIPPED ME THE MONITOR. WHEN I RECEIVED IT THE BOX WAS DAMAGED AND SO WAS THE MONITOR. I WORTE TO LOREX.THEY WANTED TO GIVE ME A REFURBISHED UNIT TO REPLACE THE DAMAGED ON BUT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE SHIPPING BACK TO THEM. WE FOUGHT FOR A WHILE AND I FINALLY GAVE IN AND PAID TO HAVE IT SHIPPED BY. THAT WAS IN DECEMBER. IT HAS BEEN 1 MONTH WITH ME WRITING THEM AND ASKING FOR A RESPONSE. I HAVE YET RECEIVED ONE. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICES IS NOT VERY GOOD AND YOU USUALLY GET PLACED ON HOLD--I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD FOR A FEW CALLS FOR OVER 2 HOURS AND TWICE THEY HUNG UP ON ME AFTER 40 MINUTES ON HOLD. Hi,

I installed the DVR Lorex Edge +, with 4 cameras. It was esasy to install, I had just to extend the cable and put the cameras where I wanted, and thats it.
Now I can view the 4 cameras in live mode, and get recorded for 29 days aproximately.

Also I conected the DVR to my router (with LAN cable), so I can get the live view in my android phone via LAN (local network) or via Internet. You can get the android free software from Play Store.

I recommend Lorex products.

I purchased the Lorex Edge LH 3261001 at the end of March 2012 and this is my second Lorex system I have owned. Since it takes a while to know how a unit is going to operate I have waited to do this review. I can say that my first Lorex had issues with e-mailing motion alerts and they could never get it to work for me. I had the same issues with this unit and when it mailed me the still capture 95% of the stills were unable to open. Also with this unit I had a much harder time getting a hold of technical support and they farmed out to another country an answering service who never forwarded the message so a Lorex support person would call. It took days before I could reach a Lorex support person. I finally got someone to help with the issue and it took months for them to get it to work. They kept telling me that no one else was having this issue but I found on line several people complaining about not being able to open the attached jpeg. It got so bad they sent a new unit and I still had the issue. Finally they wrote a special firmware that I am using that I now get the captures. I also had problems with the cameras not switching between color and B&W so they replaced approximately 4 out of the 8 cameras. I am still having the issue with my cameras and it takes either shining a flashlight at the camera or unplugging the cameras power and repowering it up to get it to go to B&W once it is dark.

My LH320 works great! I have never had any trouble with remote access and use the web front end, the PC client, the MAC Client, and even the iPhone and iPad clients. All work great through DDNS and through my static NAT'd IP address.

I am using six LH2110 wireless cameras, and I have processed video feeds from two Raspberry PI computers going to two other inputs. The Raspberry Pi computers are processing IP video streams from two PTZ cams and output the feeds to composite video going into the Edge+ DVR.

Finding the exact event time is easy - by just typing it in using the console and mouse, or scroll through the alarms for the selected camera.

My only problem with the system I have is it only has 8 channels - so I ran out of channels. I would like a 16 channel system.

I recently installed another 8 channel system for a friend at his place of business. He's happy with it so far.

Lorex wireless camera system is without question the best system out there. I have been using it at my business and home.It is wonderful to be able to view my business from home. The tech support has always been there and helped me set up the wireless network.Setting up the cameras
were very easy and I was viewing them within an hour after setup. I would recommend Lorex and have,to anyone needing a security system.

I purchased the LH 328 - Nice system. Setup to the point of Port Forwarding was quite simple. Tech support was necessary to get the system to view the cameras on my laptop, iPad, and iPhone. But once established, it worked beautifully. I must say that the greatest disappointment was the extended wait time on hold for Tech Support which needs extensive revamping to be a satisfactory service. I'm not looking forward to my next phone bill! No complaint with the product.

The Lorex DVR system works great and we have not had any problems with it for the last year. The remote access is very good. The LW2110 cameras on the other hand are terrible! Installed four cameras and all of them failed between 4 and 8 months time. Lorex replaced the cameras under warranty and half of the replacements failed within 6 months. I recently purchased a new LW2110 camera and it began failing within 2 days of installation. All of these cameras are indoor/outdoor cameras that are installed outdoors under cover and out of the weather - yet they are failing. The power supply units are also of questionable quality - of 8 units, 2 failed within six months. Calling Lorex requires extreme patience as most technical support phone calls take 30 - 40 minutes. Leaving a call-back number is successful only about half the time. I will be choosing a different system for my next security camera installation.

FANTASTIC SYSTEM ! Have used and shown it to many other store owners with GREAT REVIEWS, from them all. We started with an 8 camera system in the store and have expanded to this new 16 Camera system. Two of the main features that they all like is the Quick and Easy Touch Screen System, That brings them right to the camera or person in question, with just a touch. Also the quick access to the back up camera feature for almost instant rewind. This product has so many features you just can't list them all. Great Product ! Would and Have recomended to Other Retail Store owners.
