The app will not connect to my cameras via the cell network or any other Wi-Fi network. This occurred after an iOS update back in July. It only works on my home Wi-Fi. I contacted customer support 2 months ago and was wondering if there has been any progress with an update. The app no longer works since Apple updated their iOS to 9.3.3. I verified this by using someone's phone that had iOS 9.3.2 and it worked perfectly. Please update. I have had no issues for the 2 years that I have owned this equipment. I have been told that Lorex is aware of the problem, but 2 months have gone by and still no update.
Our apologies for any difficulty you experienced. Our technical support team was happy to resolve this for you.

I bought an LNR382 in 2012 and it started having hard drive issues in Jan 2016 Lorex was kind enough to work with me in trying to solve the issues and ended up sending me a brand new DVR at no cost. I will recommend Lorex to anyone and will continue to use them for my security needs. Thanks so much Lorex!!
Unfortunately I had to purchase the LNR382 because my Lorex LNR280 died/ stopped working after only 15 months. Being 3 months past the warranty Lorex did nothing to replace it or discount a replacement. With 8 Lorex cameras I had not choice but to replace the DVR or replace the whole system. By the way. One of the cameras stopped working about 16 months; also not warrantied or backed by Lorex so that had to be replaced at my cost as well. So $3,000 later I am very unhappy with the lack of a company backing their product. Once this DVR dies I will be moving to a different manufacturer. When the system works the cameras are great and clear but I have spent too much $$$ to hope it keeps working to where I feel I got my $$$ worth.
Thank you for your feedback. Our sales team was happy to assist you with a discounted replacement. We hope it suits your needs.

I bought this system from Costco to replace my old q-see DVD I recommend this DVD.
Great resolution and color in daytime. Night vision as expected with today's available technology. Definitely viewable, but I'm spoiled by the daytime results.
NVR Interface is fairly easy to learn.
Be sure you have the correct software for your PC, Android, IOS system. Fairly easy to use.
Due to the complexity of my network, I contacted Lorex Support for assistance. They did an awesome job in resolving my issues. Great support experience.
Easy set up. Great resolution. Software easy to install. Could be more user friendly, but we manage to maneuver thru it all.
DO NOT BUY IF YOU NEED GOOD MOTION DETECTION
Setup is easy, truly plug and play, user interface is clumsy but functional ***BUT*** the motion detection is very crude, and for my needs this rendered the LNR300 setup unacceptable. There was no middle ground between too sensitive (hundreds of events per day from insects and leaves) and not sensitive enough (completely missed human activity). After many hours of attempting to adjust, and several calls to Tech Support, they said nothing more could be done with the LNR300 system and I should call Customer Support.
After some persistence, Lorex Customer Support came through and offered me a no-cost upgrade to an LNR400, which was incompatible with the cameras I had just put up. I was out the time and aggravation of having to replace the cameras, but at least it didn?t cost me more money. The LNR400 motion detection is working well, and the system overall is acceptable
Be forewarned that the LNR300 and LNR400 interfaces are very different, almost as though they were programmed by different companies. If you upgrade there is a learning curve and a whole new set of quirks and limitations.
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry the motion detection is not suitable for you on this system. Our sales team was happy to assist you. Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us at 1-877-755-6739.
This product is everything I was looking for. It was easy to set up and easy to use. The mobile applications work wonderfully. The only drawback would be the time I had to spend in the attic...but with a little pain there is reward. :)

Good Product. Good ETA
Works reasonably well, one problem was when you have all 8 cameras connected the built in network in the NVR can't handle the bandwidth of all 8 cameras on 30 frames/second at highest video quality so you need to knock it down to 15-18fps and medium to higher quality on some of the cameras, not all of them. They still are recording at 1920x1080 but lower frames/second and more compression at medium/higher quality rather than highest quality. Also the mobile ap. tries to work but drops out after a few seconds on my Android Ver. 4 and it will not work on Android version 5 and above. Lorex is taking their sweet time re-writing the new code, please step it up. Thank you

I purchased this product along with the LNB 2153 HD Camera and 24" Monitor. I use it for the back of a commercial building I manage. It basically covers the back and most of the garbage area.which has become a problem. I am in the front and it is excellent for viewing that area. The playback, digital zoom, etc. work excellent day or night.
The quality of the camera's is good. If you need tech support expect to be on hold and on the phone for a long time. Working on resolving some issues. Will be happy when we can get everything working. Did not realize that when I purchased that if you have more than 4 camera's you do not have 1080dp. Was not happy with that as I would have bought the other NVR if sales would have told me this,
This is the second NVR I have purchased form Lorex. For the most part the equipment has met my expectations. The only problem I experienced was that for some odd reason I could not view the cameras remotely. As previously stated this is my second NVR, I had no problems with remote viewing with the first unit so this was a surprise.
After about two hours on two different days on the phone with Tech support the problem was corrected. Maria and Christine at Tech support were knowledgeable of the equipment and worked diligently to rectify the problem. They even scheduled a call back time to make sure that the equipment was working properly.

I purchased the LNR382 and 4 cameras to replace my 5 year old existing unit and it works great!! The day and night vision are the best. I watch from my iPhone off and on from work. Very, very good quality and I love it! Would recommend to anyone.

Purchased the NVR382 with 6 cameras. The products are of excellent quality. The distance and definition on the cameras are superb, even when in night mode. However, the initial setup process was a bit difficult as the PoE ports on the back of the NVR were not the one I wanted to use. I wanted to use my Cisco PoE switch to provide power and network connectivity. I was able to setup in such a way but only after some research as such method is not included in the manual. Also I wish the firmwares are easier to find. Per the manual we just need to visit LorexTechnology.com. But I'm still not able to find it till this day. Another thing is the playback is a bit sluggish when viewing over TCP. When fast forwarding at 4x the screen hardly moves at all, but then all the sudden it's 20 secs later. This is a great product to get if you're some what familiar with setting up network equipment. For me it completely suits my needs, but just wish the playback feature can be more smoother when viewed over TCP. I love the ability to view remotely.

I purchased the LNR382 with one camera and the system works well. excellent distant night vision. I have the camera mounted on the porch, before I would have the dusk till dawn light running and now since I have a good night vision HD camera, I turned the light off. I did have to port forward router but was no problem. remote viewing via IPhone 5 and then Galaxy s5 active is outstanding. PC remote viewing does work. I needed to get technical support help with that and that was resolved quickly. I have camera set up to watch front yard and watch cars go by. DVR has two video outs, 1 HDMI and one VGA, I have monitor with HDMI connection by DVR and a VGA splitter and 30ft extension cord that I got from cables_parts on eBay to another monitor in my room. The system does not record audio. The use of only using a cat5 wire for power and video is cool. I am trying to only get by with one camera but I am wanting to add additional cameras to monitor more locations. You cannot read license plates at a distance 20ft or more.
ordered a home security camera system (4 cameras) wireless, back in may did receiver it the following week. wasn't to back to work with being a computer systems person (have to say don't really like the interface to the unit but it works. My big job was running power in the roof area. the four cameras are located somewhat in the corners of the house having somewhat a good reception the receiver in near the center back of the house. Only problem deal more with the insects flying around the cameras this seem to be what the cameras are picking. but otherwise system seem to be working ok does cover the area around the house night vision is ok.
just got my NVR with HD camera easy to install and good quality.
For now it has met my expectations. I am still learning through and will update as my experience improves. I did buy two more dome cameras to add to existing 6 cameras which is a good testimony that for now I am happy.

This is my second lorex nvr product I own. The newer stratus system to allow remote access/mobile access makes set up much easier than older nvr models. It is truly plug and play/scan and go. Picture quality of 1080p is well worth the expense.
This is my first NVR / security camera combination experience. The NVR itself takes a little time go get used to. Specifically walking through the menu's and figuring out where all the settings are. Once you have an idea where to look the NVR itself is great to work with. It provides great video that can be watched remotely. The camera ( LNB2153B) purchased with this NVR works great and gives you very good night vision. The thing to watch is that the night vision LED's attract bugs and can give you false positives with the motion detection on. Although you can turn the sensitivity down, sometimes it still triggers on flying insects. I love the system but would warn anyone trying to read license plates, that it doesn't seem to work unless you are around 20 to 30 feet or closer. If you are farther than that and use the digital zoom, it really isn't readable. There are a lot of features packed into the NVR and it just takes some time to figure out how to make the most of them. I also had to port forward my router in order for the stratus feature to work. If you use Lorex's port forwarding software it really takes the hassle out of it. Also once the router is forwarded, then you can use the digital bar code to get the remote viewing to work really easy. I have had fun watching the family leave in the morning for work and school. All in all I would recommend this unit to a friend.
