This cam works very good compare to the high price cam. The resolution 1080P so clear. For the price it is very good.

These cameras caught a would-be car break-in artist recently.
Provided the footage to the Sheriff's Deputies.
Arrest made in less than a week.
Good job Lorex.
Keep working toward better cameras especially for night vision.
The better they are, the more convictions!

Purchased an LNB2153B camera as a spare for my LNR280 surveillance system. System in continuous use since Sep 2013.
Currently using LBN2150 bullet cameras that came with the LNR280.
All cameras that came with the system (LNB2150 bullet & LND2152B dome) including the LNB2153B spare tested A-OK out of the box.
System was an easy install—initial set up, local LAN hookup, camera install (including ethernet cable runs) in outside locations on house).
Straightforward integration with both Mac and PC computers on the LAN. DNR runs quiet. Fan noise is not a distraction. Am using a Samsung S223590H 21.5 inch LED monitor.
I have not set up for remote over-the-internet monitoring— no experience to provide any lessons learned.
I purchased the LNR143 system in December of 2014. I found the system very easy to install and configure. Picture clarity is remarkable. I just purchased and added a 5th 1080p HD IP bullet camera. I would recommend this system to all.

I purchased the Lorex 8 Channel Stratus HD NVR Security System with 2TB HDD and 4 1080p Cameras in March 2014 and have been happy with the system and performance. I just added a 5th 1280p camera to the system and it is performing great the picture is clear and sharp. I would definitely recommend the lorex system to my friends.
These cameras are shoddily built and don't last.
My camera stopped working fewer than 90 days after it was purchased. There is no physical damage to it and I have tried several different network cables.

This HD quality camera lives up to it's claims. It is clear, focused, sharp and produces an overall high quality picture. The one area that could be improved is the linearity of the image. Horizontal lines near the top and bottom of the image appear curved as in a "fish eye" lens effect. This is only noticeable if the image contains horizontal lines, like a fence. It does not detract from the otherwise superb image.

I am happy to write this review after working with the technical support staff for several sessions, to resolve a Smartphone connectivity problem.
Each time I called, I was given a person who worked hard to diagnose and resolve my problem. The problem however was not evident immediately and took a while to correct, which did get corrected with the replacement of my NVR.
Shipping of a replacement NVR and return of the "crashed" system, was hassle free and with a little help from tech support resetting everything to "talk" to my setup, I am back in business enjoying my system, and feeling more secure it is doing the job it was designed to do.
Thanks again Lorex, you have a GREAT product, and support service.

1 of 2 cameras failed after the first rainstorm. ":Outdoor" implies the camera can be placed outdoors. I think not. "1 Year Full Warranty" implies that I can get it replaced under warranty, but I can not. Actual warranty is "contained in the original packaging are warranted for a period of ninety (90) days from the documented date of purchase". THE AD ABOVE CONTAINS LIES. If Lorex would have advertised truthfully, then I would have given the cameras four stars. The night vision LEDs white washes things right in front of the camera. FACT: They are able to withstand only a DAMP location. FACT: They are warranted for NINETY (90) DAYS if you keep the BOX and RECEIPT. Someone needs to take Lorex to court and straighten them out.

I would expect a better camera for the price we paid. In a package of 4, 1 failed almost immediately, 2 failed after 6 months, and I have a 4th potentially now after 9 months. In comparison, I have a Toshiba camera in the same environment that has been up for 8 years. I'm almost at the point of returning the entire system before it goes out of warranty.

I already was using 6 of these cameras but needed better coverage of one area. I was completely satisfied with the picture quality and ease of installation of the first 6, so buying another of exactly the same type was an easy decision. The only improvement I could suggest would be to include outdoor-rated cables with the camera rather than indoor cables.
This is supposed to be an outdoor camera.
Rating is defined as: IP66 Enclosure - IP rated as "dust tight" and protected against heavy seas or powerful jets of water. ..as I found the definition to after Goggling.
2 of my 14 LNB2153B cameras failed after only one month in operation and after one heavy rain storm. A disappointing experience for an "outdoor" camera.
All other functions of the camera are great. Excellent day time viewing and good night time viewing has good distance. Did not expect failure upon looking at the camera but as I look at 14 cameras now 2 are hazy. Rating would be 5* without this problem. Customer service told me the camera was water resistant but water proof and to build a shelter around them.... did not seem indicated from this rating nor was it advised in any corporate literature.

I did a lot of research on this system and many systems from other companies before purchasing the LNR340 and 4-LNB2153B camera?s. I?ve had it a month now and am very happy with the purchase and the quality of the system.
The system is pretty simple to set up and use. It did take some work to run the cables to the cameras but with the power over ethernet you don?t have to run separate power lines. I keep the LNR on a UPS battery backup so the entire system keeps working during power outages. The HD 1080 daytime views are very detailed. The nighttime view is good even in total darkness. The night time infrared lights do a have a sweet spot towards the middle and drop off some at the outer edges. I used a smartphone to adjust the views for the best results.
We have everything set up to view on the smart phones and iPad wherever we are. My wife feels very secure being able to sit in bed and check the cameras views outside. I checked the motion detection log a few days after installing one morning and saw people stop to case out cars on the street and the front of our house in the middle of the night. I used the motion detection masking in the software to block out trees and bushes that set off the motion detectors. There?s not much you can do about insects very close to the camera at night or birds setting it off though.
We only have macs in the house and I was surprised the Lorex mac based software works pretty well. The Lorex netHD mac software has the default volume set to ?C? for saving video downloads so you need to point this to your mac volume name to save video or you will get an error message. Saved video can be viewed with VLC Media Player which can be downloaded for free on the internet. The Safari plugin works well also.
I did have one networking problem. I was reluctant to call tech support based on reviews of wait times on hold but finally did and was immediately connected with a tech person who was very knowledgeable and helpful. I had elected to go with port forwarding etc for remote access. This worked for a week then started locking up the NVR so I switched to the Stratus connectivity option which took a couple minuets to set up and works flawlessly.

This is a really easy camera to set up. There is no need to run separate power cables. All you need to do is run one piece of cat5e or better wire. The best advice I got from another review here is to go ahead and set up remote viewing to aid in aiming you're camera. The only down fall is that the optical zoom is fixed. You must rely on digital zoom which gets grainy at high magnification. Also be aware that the night vision LED's will attract bugs and possibly give you some false positives with motion detection turned on. On a funny note it was recording what looked to be dust one morning, but it turned out to be fog. I was amazed that it would pick up fog.

I purchased this product to record my tennis courts and it works great! The set up was fairly easy (i had some help) and now i am able to record all the tennis courts. I am able to access online and i can export players matches for them on a USB Flash drive. I'm very satisfied with this product.
Bought this system about 5 months ago. Very pleased with the "bullet" type. A little less with the "Dome" type.
Excellent quality, excellent picture, excellent product. Do not hesitate to purchase. I have tried different brands of i.p. cameras and so far these are the top performers.

Having purchased the LNR143, I had to get another one of these LNB2153B HD cameras to complete my 4-channel system. The view from these cameras is unbelievable, day and night. The daytime view colors are true, which isn't always the case with other cameras. The night vision is as advertised and the best I've seen ever. It's been in service for a few weeks now and have had zero trouble with any of the components.
I purchased the LNR143 4 channel Vantage NVR withe 3 PoE cameras and a 4th camera to fill in to full capacity. This is an extremely nice system, I couldn't be happier with it.
Having some experience with minimal router access, I am very happy with the amount of instruction and software available from Lorex to make setup easy. I was able to setup every way possible for remote viewing. 3 different methods of viewing on my PC's and a 4th method on my LG G2 smartphone as well.
I have had a Lorex wireless camera system for some time now and new I trusted the brand. So after a recent B&E at my house it became obvious I needed a hi-def upgrade. These HD IP cameras with 1080p are awesome. I'm certain I'll be prepared with much better footage for any incident at my location in the future. Thanks Lorex Technoloigies!
I bought my first Lorex system 6 years ago and it has never given me any trouble. I selected the HD 1080 system for a second location to see if would capture better detail. The image quality is very clear and the zoom feature is very helpful when reviewing incidents. Plug and play PoE was easy to install. The HD cameras require large storage volume so I am adjusting settings to try to save more days of history. I am very please with the ease of system set-up.

I have an 8 channel Lorex Hd Nvr video system and had already owned 4 of these cameras. The quality of the picture and amazing distance of the night vision feature is why I purchased another. I am a paranormal researcher and it is important that the picture be as clear as possible in night vision mode. I had tried other brands and nothing compared to the products Lorex offers. I am very satisfied and will be purchasing 3 more of these cameras over the next year.
I purchased the Lorex 1080p NVR package with 6 bullet cameras. The Cameras are HD and produce a wonderful picture. the downside is how loud the NVR cooling fan is. I have to figure out where to put this NVR it is so loud! Other than that, it was easy to set up.
We are using four of these cameras with the LNR series HD NVR. It is truly a plug-and-play system and the picture quality is true HD and excellent. The NVR and included software is easy to use and we are remotely viewing on Android smartphones, iPhones, and iPads. The cameras field of view works well for our needs, and the infrared does a great job at night, at least at close range. These are some of the best value HD IP cameras out there. My only concern will be reliability. I've already had to return one that quit working. The others are still going strong so I'm hoping for the best. I also wish that Lorex would offer these cameras with a choice of lenses. The included 4mm is good for most applications, but to view something farther away, an 8 or 12mm would be better.

I purchased a 4 camera system with 2TB NVR. The system was easy to set-up and looks great. I am using an Apple Mac Air and have not yet figured out how to access remotely. The instructions for Apple products are vague and there is always a long wait when calling tech support. I am sure this will be resolved, but the documentation should be easier to follow.
Purchased the 8 Ch NVR system with 6 cameras (1080p) in Aug. 2013. So far all is well. I did receive help with "remote viewing" due to having a second router that I didn't even know I had. The support was excellent, fast, and courteous. I do recommend this system for a quality experience.

i ordered this product after searching multiple cameras ,reviews and different company products. There are mixed reviews about the product. Iam glad i went with Lorex Net-HD ip cameras. I ordered the package which was on sale for 6 cameras and 2 TB Lorex NVR and all accesories for $1450. I added 2 more cameras and every thing i got it for $1615.(8 hd-ip cameras , 8x100 ft ethernet cables & LOREX nvr DVR TB). Cant beat this price ?.I ordered directly through Lorex sales representative.. SInce i prefered DIscontinued version camera LNB2151B. the rep helped me to get at least 6 of that cameras. Iam Totally happy with the service. it produces stunnig 1080P pictures and hooking up is simple plug and play, since it is power over ethernet, just connect cat5e cable from camera to dvr and watch. i can all the cameras on my galaxy note 2, iPad 4, Ipods etc with stunning picture quality after setting up a ddns a/c. i could position the camera and pictures by looking at the phone, instead of running to the main screen . it is an excellent surveillance system and happy with the Tech support too.

This is my second Lorex DVR system, I was very pleased with the one I got seven years ago, and it was time to upgrade with LNR208, what a great system, I got it with 8 bullet cameras for my laundromat and have access throughout the world, very pleased with the video quality, and also sound. Thank you Lords,
I recently purchased a PoE security system with 6 cameras. Got a GREAT discount and free shipping with my order.
Everything arrived sooner than expected and I began setting things up to test the system before hanging cameras and stringing Cat5e cable.
The HD 1080 system has a great image, and the NVR was easy to setup with the included directions.
I want to be able to monitor the system using my smartphone, so am now getting the Android app and configuring it. Not done, but expect GREAT things.
I would recommend this system to others and am looking forward to my final installation before winter.
For beginners and advances - perfect
I did read a lot, before buy this camera, but was a surprise to see that is much better. For beginners is very easy to setup. NO DDNS, port redirection, etc. For advancer, you can control a lot of specs using the web interface, for this you can use DDNS, port redirection or NAS. Image is very good and you can control quality x bandwidth usage. Night mode is almost perfect because it uses two different sensors for night and day It records on internal SD-card, and because uses a PIR, the camera always record what you need. To see the recorded events is very easy using Lview software. I bought one, than I bought another two.

I recently purchased and installed the NVR System and HD IP Cameras. I did the installation myself and found the instructions provided were easy to follow and complete.
I did run into a snag with setting up the client application on my Smartphone, which was easily resolved with the help from the Lorex Support staff.
I also discovered that one of the cameras was defective. After reporting it, a replacement was sent out and received within a couple of days. The responsiveness was appreciated.
The system has been in use for a few weeks now and is working well. I am satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it to others.

I am basically happy with the NVR System And HD IP Cameras. Daytime views are really good. Night vision gets really blurry if the wind is blowing leaves on the trees.
I was not pleased with the inexpensive cable included with the shipment. When I placed the order, by phone, I emphasized that I am in Alaska with subzero temperatures, and was concerned about the outdoors camera performance. The wire included is actually indoor wire, and I was informed they sent that to save money. So I am supposed to purchase outdoor wire, even though Lorex includes 100 feet per camera of the cheaper wire.
I have had 2 emails to extend the warranty at no charge. The first was an extension of 6 months for registering the product. The second was extending for a full year for writing a review. However, I understand Lorex will not stack the offers. It will be interesting to see if they give me 18 months, 24 months or 30 months.
It takes a while to get through to Customer Service, and they are only open weekdays 9 - 5 EST. They are usually very helpful once I get through, and they will call back when I leave my number.
