Horrible customer service, in the last two weeks I have call seven times to talk with someone on purchasing this unit. Two times the phone ranged at least 20 minutes no one answered. One time the guy disconnected me and the other put me on hold and never came back. The actions of this company is making me do something I have never done, leave negative review. Further more they have upset me so much with their games I will have my staff post negative reviews on here and everywhere we can on the internet. Stay away from this company

I purchased model # NVR2411T order # L201046 ($809.99). I had Security cam intalled the system december 26 2015 ($784.76). One of the four cameras developed moisture issues and the image is fuzzy. I cleaned it by unswrewing the lens but it didn't work. The DVR cuts off after a few days and has to be reset by turning off the power. I do not live where i installed the system and its frustrating. It did it 3 times in a two week period. Unfortunately for me I bought the system and didnt install it till after the 1 year warranty expired. I called the company with no results. I would appreciate a call or email on how to fix these issues.

I am very glad to have this system. I'm still going though all it can do, but so far am loving it. I have it hidden away with it connected to a spare monitor via hdmi and a vga cable going to our Epson projector. Love going to split screen and still watching our movie and the cameras at the same time.

The only thing let for me to do is seeing how to use the app on a 2nd smart phone and my pc to see the cameras.

The cameras where very easy to set up. The Flir Cloud app is fantastic.
The IP cameras were automatically recognized seconds after plugging them into the Dvr.The one negative point would be the small hex key security screws can strip easily while tightening.

I had my new DNR300 installed by the Geek Squad. They ran the wires through the attic to the unit in a discrete place. With the experience of installing so many, they were blown away by the picture quality. One of the 4 cameras was effectively DOA. I'm waiting for the replacement to arrive. No concerns with treatment from customer service whatsoever. The were apologetic. I'm expecting everything to be straightened out.

I'm glad I have the system from a solid brand name as LOREX. Passersby are aware of the cams. They serve as a pretty good deterrent. Very handy to check out what's happening via my phone. Overall very please. No regrets.

Well when I received the package on the 30th of September I was pleasantly surprised that they bump up the DVR to the 300 series, but after I plugged it in I could tell right away that something was wrong. The jack that plugs in the network was dead. I call tech support and they said that they would send me a new DVR. I waited a week and never heard anything so I call back they said that they were sorry but nothing had been done with my ticket and they said that they would expedite the ticket, but it would still take a week to ship it to me. Now it is Oct 5th and I still have not heard from them. Now I have to call again to get the same run around. The service sucks!

Well, everything seemed to work pretty much out of the box. However, instead of a NVR200, it looks like a i got a DNR300, so that's good. However, the remote stopped working in the first few hours (actually the remote seems to be working but the unit isnt responding to it - I have been waiting 3 days for tech support to reply. I have high hopes for the system as the image quality and actual NVR interface and app seem to be good. Re: the app, the instructions mention SyncroIP, which I thought stunk, but I got the FlirCloud app and that seems to be much better - very confusing array of apps when one searches for FLIR or Lorex or Digimerge in the app store....)

Purchased this product in April for a new home install. Upon installation there was no power to cameras. Tech support suggested that a new power supply was needed... It has taken me three weeks waiting for emails just to get to a point where a replacement is supposed to be sent. I still have not received a tracking number... This is supposed to be a "Security" product and it defeats its purpose if you can't get parts shipped quickly to even test the system adequately...let alone if something failed once installed....

Bottom line is Lorex needs to fix their tech support and replacement parts policies and procedures, there's no excuse waiting this long for parts.... Can't rate the product until the parts are sent...

I ordered this system in Jan. 2015 and installed it in Feb. 2015. System worked great until April when 1 of the cameras went out. Took several emails and calls to finally get a replacement camera sent to me. All was well until Jun. 2015 when another camera went out. Opened up another ticket to get a replacement camera and did the normal troubleshooting to determine that yes it was the camera and that they will setup a RMA and send me a new camera. Opened the ticket on Jun 14 2015 and I still have not received my replacement camera. Messaged them twice and never received a response even tho they said someone will respond to me in 1-2 business days. Finally called up today to see what was going on and apparently since my 90 days are up, I have to send in my faulty camera first, in order to get a replacement. Seems like noone that I spoke with before decided to tell me this bit of news. I will be selling this kit when I get my new camera back as I do not trust it to stay working. Poor customer service. DO NOT BUY

Great product and setting up the cameras and DVR took some work put it was easy to install. Came with 4 100 yard cat 5 cable runs that also provide power to the cameras.

Settin up connections to our Microsoft PC, IPAD and IPhone was difficult because of the IP addresses and router configurations and naming convention for your system I could not figure out. But I worked with LOREX tech support and we had it all configured in about an hour. For first time users I recommend using tech support for this configuration.

I have had the cameras for about a month now. We use them as nanny cameras and the quality is very good viewing on my iPhone. Very easy cameras to install. I had some minor issues setting up the cameras for viewing on my iPhone and iMac, but technical support was very helpful. If you call technical support during peak hours, the wait time can be lengthy. I called earlier today on a Tuesday and had no wait time. Lorex has multiple applications for use on Mac's. The instructions advised one application but Technical Support advised another application. It can be a bit confusing, but again Technical Support is knowledgeable and had me up an running in no time. I'm using the suggest app, Flir SyncroIP, which is very simple and works great. It would be nice for the app to allow you to view saved recordings from the NVR. Overall, the price is very good and we are pleased with the camera system.

I pre-wired my house for a few outside locations with Cat6 while it was under construction. I have no idea what I was doing but started to research what I could afford and get the best bang for the buck. I bought this system with only the idea I needed 3 maybe 4 cameras. When it arrived it was labeled Flir not Lorex but I have since learned Flir is the company that bought Lorex and is a great name of quality so you are in good hands. Setup was nothing more then plugging everything in and all cameras showed up and great clear quality. Sure you have to mount and adjust the cameras to point in the right direction but that was 2 mins of effort. The system is a true plug n play. Getting to know all what you can do is the trick. My wife loves the idea she can view the perimeter when the dogs bark and not have to get off the couch. She has had security issues in her life and this system is easy for her to use and review. We have it on our iPads and phones and can check on the home out of town or in the house.

I have since made my setup even better. I have learned how to move the system to our family room and not tucked into the closet. Since it is an IP system you can have all your cameras plug into a POE data switch $150. and all you have to do is plug the NVR into any cat5 port in your house and it will find the cameras. I have a 75" TV and we can switch the input button quickly and boom we have the cameras on our big screen. We save our dogs from barking when the pizza guy comes, I'm heading out the door before he gets out of his car.

Best part is what you get for the price is off the charts a screaming deal. You only get 4 ports on the back but is you get an 8 port POE switch you can plug in up to 8 cameras. The system only comes with a 1TB drive and it's the easiest thing to change out. I had 2 old SATA drives 2TB each and popped this in, added a simple cable and now have 4TB of space.

I have now learned so much it's become fun. Cameras only watch and you have to review if you are looking for something so it is up to you if you review. Make sure you setup Motion detection on the right camera or more so it will catch the guy looking over your fence/gate. The review pull down menu shows M for motion and I just click on those and that will show you the activity. Look to Digimerge which is the new owner of Lorex and you will learn about other cameras that can be added. BTW, these are only bullet cameras and have no zoom or PTZ features. On review you can click on camera and draw a square and digital zoom that spot, cool.

On the phone with support for more than 3 hours two separate days trying to setup. Still don't have resolved as I'm being told it's my Att router that is the issue.

Shipment arrived quickly, Product was securely packaged. Was pleasantly surprised to find out that the NVR is actually a 8 channel NVR with 4 cameras included. Setup was a little confusing due to multiple references to the Lorex Site, the Flir Site and the Digimerge Site but once I decided to go with the Flir site I was able to get thing up and running. I had to contact tech support for a user account issue and tech support was fantastic, the waiting cue was short and the support technicians were courteous as well as professional.

TIP: Upgrade the system firmware before you do anything else. If you are only looking for the basic features, the firmware that is in it will work but if you are looking for the more advanced features, upgrade it right away.

purchased product jan12 2015 received on time set up for product was plug and play to cameras and nvr picture clarity was what I expected excellent quality only problem im having is seeing it on my pc and remotely to my android phone had it to my pc in a small review video but not able to add it to my screens will get some tech support. there are a numerous amount of different options to look at and adjust to my liking only other thing is that the product delivered was a flir dimerges product name the equipment was the same on lorex website as for sound noise it is tolerable no big deal as some other reviews mention looking forward to getting it fully operational soon with some help of tech support also ddns wizard was not bad to set up. now if I can get videos on my pc as per my cms software cd ironed out and able to see it remotely I will be completely satisfied . price and quality was great

This product is awesome for the price, easy to hook-up and very user friendly. This is my second security system purchased from Lorex and I see no need to shop anywhere else. the system is self explaining and the pictures are beautiful with 1080p and my HDMI Monitor. Did have a little problem getting DNNS setup, but Tech Support was great and system works the way it is suppose to, could not be happier. You do have to run the Ethernet lines to each camera, did not like the attic, but system is POE so you don't need to run power lines to each camera. Wonderful system.

Item seems to work as claimed, however the idea that the remote apps for Android, iOS will be of any use is FALSE. Simply looking at either app store will show you that none have been updated in ages, iTunes has few reviews, same for Google Play. For an item that clearly states remote access via a Smartphone (one has to wonder if this feature so BOLDLY featured on the website) is driving sales.....IF so don't waste you $ look into other companies that sen to support the apps after the initial release

Incredible resolution! Very easy to setup and use. DDNS setup not so great, I tried making the lorex one and the flir one and can't get either one to work. Went the old fashioned port forwarding way and works great. I have purchased many Lorex systems for friends and family in the past year and I have to say the quality you get for the money you pay is second to none! If I have one issue it is calling in for sales or tech support, the wait times are ridiculous, but everyone who does finally pick up has been a great help in all departments.

Very easy system to install, literally plug the cameras in and you are done. I did setup the system with the cameras on a table for a few days first to make sure they worked ok before installing. The software seems to be ok as well, easy to navigate around in it and find what you need. I haven't tried the DDNS yet so can talk about that. This is my first system and I think its worth the money (especially with all the discounts over Black Friday weekend) and im happy. Only time will tell how the system will hold up but for now all is good.

This is the first time I purchases a security system from Lorex.
I must say that I'm very pleases with my purchase.
I always wanted a better than average security system to protect my home and I think I have found just the unit.
My NVR 2411T system came a couple of days ago and yesterday I installed two of the four 1080p cameras around my home.
The installation went well but was a little time consuming due to the fact that you need to bring the wires into the house.
Other than that the installation went without any major problems.
The instructions that came with the unit are clearly laid out and easy to understand.
Setting up the software on your local network was easy although I have not used the DDNS service away from my home to remotely view the camera output yet.
I hope to try that in the next couple of days once I have the other two cameras up and running.
Some people have complained about the noise from the fan on the unit but my system is running smoothly without too much noise.
I would recommend this system to my friends any day.

I purchased this as an upgrade to my analog system. Resolution is not a clear indication of picture quality as image processing has a lot to do with that. Overall I am pleased with it based on the price payed. Having the DDNS service provided free is a nice feature and the automatic port forward toll was pretty handy. Be aware the firmware on the website is actually older than what shipped on my NVR so double check before proceeding. I don't see an easy way to be able to log into the camera's directly to be able to change settings short of using a POE injector, unless there is no intention to log into the cameras like a traditional IP camera.

I like the mobile apps but wish there was a way to default to specific channels when they are opened. The menus are fairly straight forward but would recommend spending time going through each one to familiarize yourself as a few items are in spots you wouldn't expect.

Mine were branded Flir as opposed to Lorex which I preferred. The eyeball domes are of decent quality and I anticipate will last with the occasional lens wiping. Honeywell has cameras that look identical to these so not sure if these are made in house or?

Make sure you run the cd that is included in the camera boxes as it has links to software and documentation. The mobile apps use the sub stream so play with those settings under the recording tab to get a good balance between quality/bandwidth needs. The far right box under the stream settings must be checked to instruct the system to send the mobile stream out.

I would have liked a bit more settings to play with in regards to picture but overall I am content. The daytime footage is fairly crisp, nothing in the documentation indicates if there is a manual focus adjustment or if it is fixed from the factory. At night it is acceptable with no IR bleed/reflections as it is not a domed housing. There is some noise in the picture I would like to get rid of but the manual doesn't indicate if the gain setting will affect this or not?

I am giving it four stars overall as it is not the level of high end IP cameras but realize I paid less for the whole system what one single pro IP camera would cost.

I bought the system to use outside of my home after a thief had gone through my car while parked in my driveway. If it happens again I'll have something for the police but, chances are, any experienced thief will notice the camera and move along.

I'm having some trouble with the system like Jordan (see previous reviewer) but I won't deduct points because the installer (me) might be the issue and not the equipment. There are so many features to learn about that it's easy to miss things. For example, I hope that you can block out certain areas of a given camera (e.g. only alert if something moves on my driveway, not the road beyond it) but I don't know if I can. The instructions mention a sensitivity setting but I can't find it. If these are problems, hopefully they will be addressed in the next system update.

Like Jordan, I had the problem with the time changing but I figured it out; specifically, find the NTP (network time protocol) setting and move it from -5 hours to -8 for Pacific Standard Time. Anyone outside of EST will need to do this.

Unfortunately I missed the 25% off sale but I got the 15% discount and I really appreciated the free shipping. My system appears to have shipped from their US warehouse but, thankfully, I didn't have to pay any duty upon arrival. UPS once delivered a $400 item to me, with prepaid shipping, and then charged me $100 for their cross-border fees (complete scam!) so not having to face that again was greatly appreciated!

Bought a DNR200 with 4 x 1080p IP cameras. (NVR doesn't actually say Lorex anymore, threw me off a bit. found out FLIR bought out Lorex.) Installation of the hardware was quite simple, hooked up cameras and a monitor and picture showed up automatically. However, system wise, their instructions isn't too helpful. Very detailed but not too accurate. Still having issues setting motion detection and time up. The time keeps changing / reverting to a different time so the recording isn't accurate. Tried to contact them via email, but got a very generic answer. Will try and call next week. However good quality / build for price.

Purchased NVR2411T with 4 Cameras. System arrived on time and it was all that I expected. I setup the system on the desk and ran it for a week to make sure everything worked before climbing the ladder and installing the cameras.

System worked great on the bench, I had all the features setup prior to installation including DDNS, Motion Detection and recording. I made the mistake of upgrading the firmware before I installed the cameras (6-12-13) the firmware changed a couple items on the device interface so the MOTION detection REGION button disappeared from the console interface.

I called tech support they remoted into the system and showed me how to use the HTTP interface to the console where all the features were still there. (note use compatibility mode for this to work - also not documented). I suggest using the HTTP interface for configuration and the system CONSOLE for searching for video/recording.

Network, DDNS etc all setup fine (but I am a geek). I can see how the setup can be a problem for some customers since the instructions are not 100% clear for the novice.

All in all the system is excellent, picture quality is great, night vision is good. Setup was simple all in all.

Note: Fan is loud so choose your location carefully.

Purchased the FLIR/Lorex NVR DNR200 Series w/ 4 PoE cameras...found the installation instructions copious, specific, but not exactly right...after getting help from 3 others with various networking knowledge, I had to call customer support. Three calls later, my system is up and working, but cannot display on my full HD TV which is where I wanted to display the output. No one seems to know why. Or what changes could be made to make it work.
On my 2 pcs -- one wired, one wireless, all is well. Very pleased with the picture, etc.
However, the setup of the cameras cannot be saved on exit (why does this feature not exist?) and the process for recording and playback and other features of the software are obscure.
I am not a security geek, so maybe this is sop for security software, but user-friendly, NOT.
If I were to restart this whole process, I would have a Lorex professional install everything, and explain how to use the features.

When I received the system, I thought they sent me the wrong one. I ordered a Lorex HD NVR security camera system with 4 HD IP cameras. The shipping carton showed that it was shipped from Lorex, but nowhere on the cameras or the DVR did it say "Lorex" brand. Instead it had a brand name of "FLIR". I researched it on the internet and found that "FLIR" had acquired "Lorex" so they apparently are putting the "FLIR" logo on their products now. One of the four HD cameras that I received doesn't display color properly. Even in bright sunlight, green grass looks pink and all other colors are way off. I tried this camera on the other ports of the DVR with the other network cables that were supplied and it still looks the same. The three other cameras are fine. Obviously I have a defective camera. I created a "Ticket" on the Lorex website three days ago and haven't got a reply yet. I'll give it another day or two then give them a phone call if I don't hear anything before. If I can get Lorex to replace the defective camera I think this is a good system.

Even though when I placed my order, the order never got to process correctly; I had to call in and my issue was resolved right away even thought it took 20 min to get someone on the line. I got the system 4 days later and I was able to set the with no problems. The resolution is great, the features are also great. If you plan on buying this system and upgrading to more cameras don't "Its not supported". Which makes totally no sense, since the 4 ch NVR is the same as the 8 ch NVR system. There should be a firmware difference between one an the other to enable more cameras to connect to the NVR making this the reason why I am only giving it 4 stars. I also did not like the fact that when I opened the box the NVR had a manufacturing date of Jan 2013 (a year 1/2 later).

Price was very good. Product shipped quickly and in good condition. The cameras appear to be of very high quality construction and the NVR is solid as well. Mounted the cameras on steel single gang box (blank) covers and mounted the covers to the single gang LV boxes that were pre-installed in my soffit. Installation was relatively easy however I have been unable to get the cameras to connect to the NVR yet. Going to install the latest firmware tonight and see what happens. If that doesn't work, I will call the Lorex tech support line and test their skills!

Very quick delivery and super easy installation. It took me few hours to find the right spots for the cameras and run 4 network cables but on NVR setup / IP address / 4 cameras / and some basic settings I spent no more than 30 minutes. After 2 days one of the cameras started to stream blurry picture ( during the day and also in night vision) but Lorex / Flir customer support solved the problem by sending me camera replacement!! VERY NICE!
The only problem I found is the password length. Using web interface or Flir SyncroIP I could setup password limited only to 8 characters... but using Flir SyncroIP app for Iphone I managed to setup longer password :)

Purchased the HP NVR camera system with 4 HD IP cameras (NVR2441T). Excellent value for the money. Plug and play out of the box. Apparently Flir Systems, a leader in military and commercial vision systems purchased Lorex to get into the home market. My NVR and cameras have the Flir label on them. I purchased the LNR182C6 (8 port NVR with 6 HD IP Cameras) system. After mounting the cameras and running the CAT 5 cabling, this system is pretty simple to setup. As for the 1080p video quality, it's decent, even at night. That being said, the digital zoom option for each camera is poor in my opinion. The objects being viewed (zoomed in) in that mode appear blotchy and unrecognizable. The cameras did not come with a sealing gasket for mounting which could lead to moisture issues. The NVR is pretty easy to configure, though I found a few bugs during testing and setup. I am hoping for a firmware update to be released and keeping my fingers crossed that it will fix a few issues. I would have given this system 5 stars, but because of the poor digital zoom quality (guys this needs work) and a "buggy" NVR I am giving it 4 stars, which is not that bad.

My Lorex NVR works great and the cameras are as good as Blu-ray to be honest it's the best I've seen for security cameras and the installation using windows 7 was a breeze. I have 3 of the HD 1080p cameras and I will be adding on with a fourth. This has been a real wonderful way of providing my family with the security they deserve. The customer service was great when I needed a few questions asked but the installation of the windows client went smoothly using the software live view.

I had been looking at video security systems for my home for about a year. I spent the time educating myself on the different features offered by various manufacturers. I had narrowed my selection to the Lorex LNR 300, eight camera, 1080p POE, system but the price was too high for my budget. I eventually bought the LVR200 from Lorex at a discounted price. It came with 4 bullet cameras. I installed the system myself, crawling around in the attic wasn't much fun but I'm thrilled with the results. I added an additional 2TB disk drive which was a snap, to give me 3TB of recording space. I did have issues trying to get the web access to work. I have 2 routers which complicates the matter. I tried everything to get it to work, no joy, so I call tech support. After being on hold for an hour, I finally got connected to a real sharp techie that took control of PC, logged into my routers and got it configured perfectly. I can now access my cameras from anywhere. I give this system 5 Stars+, the cameras are plug-n-play, the menu system is intuitive and easy to use, the camera clarity is good, and the system setup is extremely flexible. I was concerned that other reviews mentioned excessive fan noise but I just don't see it, I don't even hear the fan. Highly recommend !!
