Very easy to install and best of all, no port forwarding required. Panning feature works fine when controlling through the same router with the camera but poorly when controlling from another location else where. Not sure but that may have something to do with internet service where I remotely tried to control the camera. Only one user can view the camera at one time. If someone else logs in, the camera will kick the previous user out. Just bought 2 more to keep an eye on my very old parents.

It has been 7 weeks since I first received my cameras and I still can't use them. I have spent countless hours on the phone with their so-called tech support in addition to all the hours I have spent trying to connect these cameras, plus hours waiting for tech support to call me back. Then when they do it doesn't matter what you are doing they expect you to drop what you're in the middle of and take their call. They call while you are taking customer calls from the 2 1/2 hour down time you were on the phone with them, while they read the same manual you read before you called tech support and have you go back through all the same things you tried before you called tech support. They call once while you're on the phone leaving a message of I said I would call back in an hour with answers to your problem but you're not available so you will have to call again and they don't try again even though you have 1 telephone line and answer your calls. You have to go back through all the same sh__ again and wait. Excuse me but my business/life doesn't stop just to deal with your crappy products and support staff that doesn't have a clue. The when I call back it will be a new person returning my call and I will start back at square one. Of course I can get my money back minus shipping both ways. Zero is too many stars for this company, but you have to at least pic 1.

Our sincere apologies for the wait time and any difficulty you experienced. Our technical support team was happy to help you with this.

I'm very happy with my LNC254 cameras. What's really impressive is the audio, compared to the F**cam cameras that these replaced. It is very loud and clear on both ends. Setup couldn't be easier for an Android phone, but I haven't tried setting up for PC over internet yet. I am using these for security and not baby monitors so a little wider angle on the lenses would have been great, but overall a very good product.

We purchased these cameras so my mother would not have to leave her home. we can monitor her from our smart phones at anytime. that she does have someone with her during the day I live only 100 yrds from her. so we are all happy.
I love the sound and picture quality on this camera. very happy with our choice. We had looked into the Medical alert things but this cuts out the middle man. if she need us we can be there quicker than having a 3rd person involved. I have 2 sister and we each take turn monitoring her with the app on our phones.

These cameras are everything I expected! Excellent in every way. I have already recommended them to several others. Your Canadian Tech Support was Superior! I spoke with them on a couple of occasions in the evening and found them to be first class in knowledge and assistance.

Piece of crap software, combined with a useless website where I can't initiate a return and the customer service that doesn't read the ticket fully before responding makes this a bad purchase.

Our apologies for any difficulty you experienced. We were happy to assist you further with this.

I was looking for a camera that was both day and night vision, pan, tilt plus receive and transmit voice for observation of our dog kennel.
Found these cameras by Lorex after much research and sounded like what I needed for what I thought was a good price. After receiving the cameras
I found that the set up was very easy with both my wife's and my mobile devices. I tested them for one week before deploying them for our dogs.
Our dogs responds to our voices and the video performance is great both night and day vision.
I highly recommend these cameras. Easy set up for even novice.

Camera works good when working but if you have any problems good luck getting your camera replaced. Going on two weeks and was just told they submitted the order to the warehouse today and will be another 10-14 day. Will not buy from them again.

Our apologies for the wait. We hope your replacement is working well.

Great Camera, I like that it can Pan and Tilt. Also, it does very well viewing in the dark. The only downside is that the android app and windows software is AWFUL. It needs to be more responsive and easier to use.

I really enjoy the Pan and Tilt feature and color is good in good lighting and a little grainy in poor light but viewing is good. Great price for this 2 pack and I'm able to view my home by way of my android phone which i really enjoy being able to see if everything is ok while i'm away. I use the motion feature on the ping 2 app. and it emails me when motion is detected, a feature that I looked for when buying it. It was a little difficult to set up as far as viewing it away from home by cell phone but with customer support it helped alot and they were patient with me as well. All in all for the price it's all i needed and no cost to use app except your phone data being used.

These are my 8th and 9th Lorex cameras. Up until this point I didn't have any cameras I could pan. The LNC254 camera is very good and easy to install. Initially when I installed them I couldn't get them to pan until I discovered there was a software update. Once I downloaded the new version everything worked fine. These allow me to cover a greater area with a single camera. I mounted one upright and one upside down. I wish they had them in black. So far they are a great camera and I would definitely recommend them.

After returning a pair of P & T Cameras that I had purchased and was not able to to connect to my iPhone, I found the Lorex LNC254-2pk. So easy to to connect and use! Works great with Apple products. It is also nice to have a responsive company to deal with, it also has a good web site. I plan on buying more cameras from Lorex in the future.

This is my second set of Lorex security cameras....I also have a 4 channel wireless indoor/outdoor DVR set. These new wireless IP cameras let me keep a closer eye on my dogs, the pan/tilt function is awesome! I also have the capability to listen in, which is great.
Set up was a breeze and the Ping app is great! PC set up was also easy. I'm thinking about getting another 2 pack to keep closer eye on my shop and customer cars.....

I'll start with the cons.
1. First camera set up very easily. Second camera not so much. The auto search on the L-View app could see it but only allow it to be used via the Camera ID number. When I tried to name the camera it would never come online. At least until I got Tech Help.
2. You need a lot of light to have video show up in color. A lot more than I would have expected. Not a huge deal but you will notice a big difference with/without color.

1. Tech support was great. Downloaded a program that allowed tech guy to walk through my computer with me and solved the problem of the second camera not going online in a few minutes. Seemed like everything he tried I tried earlier, but by golly it worked.
2. Night vision is pretty good.
3. Pan feature really neat.
4. Phone app is great.
5. Two way talking is great.

I already have 2 LNC-215 and LNC-254 cameras at my company facility, and bought two more for home monitoring.
They work nicely, but the only comment I have is that unless the ambient light level is at a certain point, they will be in black and white, rather than color. Once the light level increases, they jump over to color. My rooms are pretty bright, and even then, they stay in B&W longer than they should.

Sensitivity issue?

This is my first venture with Lorex cameras. I purchased the LNC254 for the pan-tilt features (zoom would have been nice). The cameras themselves are pretty good; however the software Lorex delivers for Mac users is pretty poor. I kept hear about this "patrol" function that sounded pretty neat, but apparently it is among several features only available with the PC software. I would concur with a previous reviewer that Lorex needs to get with it concerning Mac users; as we now make up over 25% of the market, and growing.

These have worked great. We use all four possible cameras and they provide clear images. They were a little difficult to get set up with a password, but once it was set they were easy to install. They provide wide range and I love that they can be moved by my device. I no longer have to sneak into the room to adjust the monitor angle. They also allow others to babysit comfortably from the upstairs duplex.

The camera quality is good and the cost of reasonable. The SD Recording is nice, is you do not have a Network Attached Storage.

The MAC and iPhone Applications need some work.

I previously have LNC116 cameras. Wanted to add more and was glad to see they have Pan and Tilt ones now. They were just as easy to set up as the LNC116 and now have more flexibility of viewing a greater area. Can move the cameras via iphone or by pc. The increased improvement to 720p is very good compared to my older camera. Very happy with the pair of LNC254

I recently purchase four (4) LNC-254 pan/tilt cameras. The Lorex web site where I purchased the cameras has documentation for said camera that the L-View monitoring software supports 4 cameras with an optional software available for 16 cameras. I now have 15 IP cameras on my network and also have software for 4 and 16 camera L-View. Upon installing the LNC-254 cameras I had to download the newer version of L-View to have the pan/tilt panel work in the software, the version update fixed the problem. However the 16 camera L-View which is exactly the same in every functional look and feel will not support pan/tilt. The panel is there, it just will not work. It seems to me that a update should be available just as with the 4 camera version.
The "available" 16 camera software that the current Lorex site specifies with the just purchased LNC-254's seems to be non-existent. Tech support said that it should be available for pan/tilt and transferred me to sales which states it is not available. To find this much out took six phone calls and being disconnected after a long wait on hold 4 times. It doesn't seem to matter that they advertise software that they cannot deliver, or that a customer has purchased 15 cameras believing that 16 channel software was available as promised. If they can make the 4 camera L-View work I am sure that they can also make the 16 camera software work for pan/tilt. The camera in itself is five stars, the not "available" software and customer service leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Hard to believe that this is a Flir company, spec and purchase many Flir IR cameras for work use.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any difficulty you experienced. Our technical support team was happy to assist you with getting this resolved. If you require further assistance, please call us at 1-888-425-6739 option 3 for technical support.

Bought a pair of HD720p wireless IP Cameras with Pan-Tilt.

Placing the cameras was the hardest part.

Having had exposure to their previous camera, the LNC 217, which seems to have been discontinued, I was limited as to what camera to buy that was IP/wireless.
This camera is new, and initially would not work with my originally installed Lview software.
After a call to tech support, and no resolution on their end at the time, I downloaded the latest LView software package which got rid of the issues.
Good picture, nice to be able to pan and tilt, should be a good set up. Too early to know, have only had it installed for 1 day.

Excellent product. I already had the Lorex IP cameras LNC204 setup. Got the LNC254 Pan & Tilt 2PK. WOW what a camera. Setup was easy having learned from previous installation. Upgraded to the latest L-View software for my computer. This camera works flawlessly. Mounted for ceiling mount which gives you a better field of view. Works both on my iphone and my windows laptop. There is no blind spots with this camera. Did have to call tech support to learn how to flip the picture so it wasn't upside down for ceiling mount. Super easy.

Excellent video quality. Seems to go offline once in a while, then pops back up. Still trying to get the software to work right on my computer 2 weeks in now. Support hasn't been able to help me, although they have spent a lot of time on the issue. All in all, it is good technology with a couple little bugs.
