This is the second review I have done on this unit. I have received not one, but two, replacement parent monitors due to charging and sound issues. I purchased my original unit in April of 2014. The customer service people have been rude, do not contact me back after phone calls and emails and once sent my replacement to the wrong address after confirming that I had moved and they had my new address. Last night the battery on my second replacement monitor exploded. The door and the little screws holding it in literally blew off the unit while on a table next to my head. It scared the crap out of me, but I'm just happy it didn't happen while my children were around. I am now left with a useless monitor for the third time in a little over a year. I cannot understand how a company can continue to sell obviously faulty products, especially products that are meant to help protect our childrens safety and well being. Charging and sound issues are one thing, but exploding batteries are another. You spend this much money on a video monitor and to have it not work in such a short amount of time is sad. I would give this product and this company zero stars if it were an option. Save yourself the money and go with a different company!
My monitor battery failed and became swollen just over a year after purchasing the product. The customer service team went above and beyond to help me out. They ended up sending me a completely new camera and monitor, to replace my failed one. I am only rating 3 stars, simply because the camera failed after only a year, and had poor battery life for months before that. I'm hoping I just got a lemon and the new one will serve me well. Only time will tell.
Other than the battery issue I have no complaints about this product. the night vision works extremely well and the picture quality is great. Has many nice features and, when it works, is a fantastic baby monitor.
I really like this monitor and camera. I hadn't have any trouble with it until the battery started to swell and it wouldn't hold a charge at all. It eventually swelled so big it tore apart the back of the monitor. I called customer service and told them of the issue and I was promised a new monitor would be sent out. I waited and waited and I hadn't heard a thing from this company. So I called back and had to explain again what happened they promised someone would get back with me within two days. Two days came and went heard nothing. Basically I called about 8 times and had to repeat this process over a month time period and nothing happened. So I finally wrote a review and a service rep got back with me within days and sent me a brand new monitor along with a new camera. Which I really appreciate! I am hoping this one with last a lot longer.
Overall the product is good but the customer service wasn't great to deal with. They did make it right in the end! Based my stars on the product aside from battery issues and customer service.

very disappointed in this product. I have had this monitor for only about 16 months and have had the battery expand and not hold charge THREE TIMES!!! the first time customer service was great, I got a replacement right away and every time after that it has gotten worse. I am currently waiting for a new battery and it should have been here almost 2 weeks ago. I have said I just want a refund now cause I'm done giving this monitor chance after chance and nobody seems to be listening to me as I'm just told to wait every time. So I am beyond annoyed right now which is really to bad as the monitor was amazing when it was working. Great picture, great sound quality, everything was just amazing and I love it... Minus the constant battery issue. (I asked if it was something I was doing wrong since it has happened 3 times now and keep getting told no, so I'm blaming the monitor)

I was upgraded to this device when the one I originally ordered was out of stock. This was an amazing upgrade! The camera works great, the monitor is awesome. Simply Put, I couldn't be happier!
I bought this unit to keep an eye on our 10 yr old son whom I thought might be having mild night seizures. I have been using it for a little over 2 wks now and overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. I had used audio monitors in the past but this is my first time to purchase a video monitor. This has met my expectations. The night vision is nice and clear. I was hoping it had motion recording but
you do have to push a button when you want to take a picture or record. Since a previous reviewer complained about the battery, I turn it off and unplug it when I am not using it. So far, I have not had any issues with the battery pack. My only issue is with the camera movement. Sometimes it seems to have a mind of its own and doesn't point directly at my son! For example, if he throws his hand off the side of the bed, it focuses on his hand! But then it was designed to watch an infant in a crib not a grown child!! I just use the toggle on the monitor to re-position the camera. When I am done with it, I am going to give it to my daughter as a gift. She has a 15 month old and is expecting another child this summer! I know she will love it!

As a long time Lorex/FLIR customer, I have been sorely disappointed by this product, the product preceding it, and more importantly, the customer service provided to me.
As this BB3525 unit was a replacement for an older model baby monitor with battery pack issues, I was expecting a trouble free replacement, sadly this was not the case. The information provided to me via Technical Support, Customer Service, and the Returns Dept manager I spoke with, was all conflicting, and in the end, I had to pay $75 for a replacement on what should have been a warranty replacement issue.
Fine, so now I'm $75 down, and a boatload of phone time in the hole trying to get the problem resolved.
The BB3525 turns up, great, set up is a breeze, but the unit doesn't allow for camera expansion, which is contrary to what the Returns Dept manager told me. Irritating, but not the end of the world, at least the monitor doesn't have a swollen battery pack which has cracked the LCD screen and is a fire hazard.... Oh wait, in less than two months, the battery pack has swollen and pushed the back cover off the monitor. Great. At least they're consistent, right?
