We purchased our Sweet Peep Video Baby Monitor to use with our first baby. It was easy to set up and was well priced compared to the other video monitors we had looked at. The Sweet Peep monitor has a good battery life. The Sweet Peep was sensitive to our baby's noises without picking up all of the background noise. It is great to hear and see our baby. It does create a surround sound affect if we forget and leave the monitor on during the day as the monitor and camera were kept in separate rooms fairly close in the same hallway. I do wish the monitor and camera could be farther apart before they disconnect. The range of this monitor is not as long as we would like when you take the monitor outside when the camera is set up inside but it worked well if you plan on remaining inside. We did run into a problem with our monitor suddenly disconnecting from the camera and being unable to reconnect with the camera. We called Lorex-FLIR technical support and after a long wait on hold, the technical support staff was very thorough with his investigation of the issue and he confirmed our monitor qualifies for warranty replacement. I will be happy again when our replacement monitor arrives.

Originally the setup went smooth. I had problems setting up 3 cell phone viewing. Finally figured it out. The manual is not the easiest to understand. It works great.

Thanks to the lorex team, and their fantastic customer support in helping me recieve the wonderful experience of sercurity and safety for me and my families, That's the only home sercurity system we as a family uses, and with their fantastic customer service , I see why we chose lorex as our number one provider, we currently have the 8 camera home system and also the bb2425 camera /baby monitor system and for a while now it has been holding up still for us , till recently when our night vision went out, but surely enough the lorex team fixed that issue fast and sent another one,I just wanted to say thank you for everything The lorex team has done to get our house back on the right track agian

I love this baby monitor! Not only can I see and hear my baby, I can also speak to him and play a soothing lullaby with this wonderful baby monitor. I also love that I always know what the temperature is in his room. I highly recommend it!

So far this unit is doing everything it is supposed to do. Audio and video are good, night vision, two way communication and camera control. I do hope the battery life holds out because it's nice now.

Would love this product if it didn't constantly say I was out of range when it's maybe 50 feet away from the camera not to mention when it is saying in range the monitor doesn't alert me or let me hear that my daughter is crying

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear your monitor is malfunctioning. We were happy to assist you with this.

This company is worthless! I bought a baby monitor and when I opened it from the box, the wireless feature wouldn't work. It only works when plugged in. I called the company to get it replaced. My baby is three months old and we are currently using it only plugged in. I talked to technical support and they told me the unit was bad and a new one would be sent to me. I talked to customer support and they said a new one would be sent to me. I called back three weeks later and another representative said I had to send the old one back before the new one would be sent or pay $150 to get a new one sent. I asked to speak to a manager. A manager never got on the phone but I was told they would waive the $150 and send me the monitor. That was two months ago and still no monitor. I try to talk to customer service and have waited for up to an hour and no one answered. I cannot go without a monitor while my baby is so young and it works when plugged in. If they want me to pay $150 I will just buy another monitor to never have to deal with this company again. They are full of lies. Not worth the hassle

Thank you for your feedback. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. Our customer service team was happy to assist you with a warranty replacement. We hope all is working well now.

The reason we bought this monitor was because of the temperature monitor and alert system. I wanted a baby monitor that would allow us to set a range of temperatures that we consider "acceptable", and if the temperature in the baby's room goes above or below the set range it would alert us. The problem is that, in terms of HIGH temperatures, the lowest "HIGH" temperature at which you can get an alarm is 28 degrees C. What's up with that? I would like to be alerted well before the temperature gets that hot. We have a space heater in the baby's room and I trust it not to overheat... but I wanted this extra peace of mind to have a back-up in case the space heater malfunctions. The set range of temperatures is adjustable above 28degrees C, ie you can choose instead to be alerted when it reaches 29C or 30C, but if you want an alarm at 25C or 26C it doesn't allow that. Silly. Kind of pointless to have bought it, and i don't understand why it was designed with this limitation.

Got the sweet peep monitor to replace an old black and white tube one. The receiver is light and small and really convenient to carry around the house. The video image is fine and I like the option to turn off the screen and have it automatically turn back on when the baby makes noise. A decent product that does what it is supposed to.

I am so disppointed with this product. I loved the Live Snap and, when I had my third baby and needed to add another camera, was so sad to see Lorex had discontinued it. But, because I loved the Live Snap, I decided to stick with Lorex and purchased this product with three cameras. I don't care for it at all. The music feature is silly and when hit by mistake, wakes my children up. It is loud and can only be controlled by the monitor. My son turned it on and then the monitor battery died. I had to plug it in and turn it back on to turn the music off in my son's room!
The switching between cameras is slow even when doing it manually which is very inconvenient.
Finally, this morning, I found that the monitor had frozen on daughter #1's room and I could not switch to the other children's rooms at all. Everything was frozen - volume control, etc. I had to take the battery out to turn it off and turn it back on to unfreeze it.
The monitor is only 2 months old. I am so disappointed at how this compares to the Live Snap. I regret not going to eBay or similar to try to find a third camera for that one.

This monitor has a good picture quality, I enjoy the mode that will turn on the screen if noise is detected. My biggest issue with the monitor is the range. Two rooms over I frequently get the out of range error which is very frustrating. My old motorola I could take outside anywhere in our yard and would not have an issue.

I purchased this product for my baby to join us in January 2015. I did a LOT of research for months and I came accross Lorex as an option to redeem with my credit card reward points. Once I got to research the reviews and info on the Lorex and particularly on the sweet peep, I knew I was going to buy it. Best reviews in the market! and what I really liked was that even tho all monitors have bad reviews, I found that Lorex was the one with the minimal negative reviews. That gave me a lot of confidence. We decided to go and purchase it (not from the rewards as they did not have this model). Since then we have tried it and we are really happy with the purchase. I feel like I could totally trust this device!!! I hope I will have these feelings for a long time!

I received this product as a gift from my mother-in-law. She did her research and found that the reviews for this product were great overall. I had it set up with two cameras and it worked well until this summer (July) when the monitor started saying "out of range" and wouldn't pick up the signal from the cameras.
I guess the review may be based more on the customer service/warranty than it is the product, but I am very frustrated I STILL don't have a working monitor and it is the end of September! It has taken 3 months and Lorex has not fixed this problem. Every time I call customer service I am on hold for 10-30 minutes before I even get help. They are reluctant to help and they even charged me $30 (which they said they would refund) to send out a replacement part. WHAT IS THE POINT OF A WARRANTY THEN!?!?

This Sweet Peek baby monitor is our second Lorex product and it's even better than the Live Snap. The camera is great quality day or night and the microphone is super sensitive. I love the night light feature as well as the soothing music feature. This is definitely a must-have for any parent and I highly recommend it.

This baby monitor has been working out excellently for my family. The set up was easy and use is straightforward. I love the large screen and zoom features. The night light has come in handy a few times as well. The picture quality is great compared to similarly priced video monitors. I think this would also make a great nanny cam with the sd card and other features. Oh and this monitor is not annoying with excessive loud beeping.

Great little baby monitor for the price. The screen is nice, and you can see in the dark very well. If you are price conscious and cannot justify dropping $250 on a top-of-the-line monitor, then you won't be disappointed in this cheaper alternative!

I really like this baby monitor, I could see things perfectly while I was cooking, going to the bathroom, watching TV etc. in the Living Room. This is the best thing in the world to have if you are worried about someone in another room or outside etc. you can put it anywhere & make sure everything is alright. This one doesn't have sound so I had to buy one that did I used this one until the other one arrived but I really love them both. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

Easy to use and set up. Has a lot of nice extras and you can easily monitor baby. Convenient, portable around a decent sized house.

I love the clarity of this monitor, you can literally watch your little one breath. It is amazing. The night vision is a pretty neat feature as well, though we keep our infant's room pretty bright, this doesn't do a lot for us, but, we tested it in the dark and it does work very well. Being able to talk to your baby through the monitor doesn't help us a ton yet, but as he grows, I could see us saying "it's time to lay down" that sort of thing, and I think we will love that.

My only issue with this monitor is the lack of range. It is not a huge issue inside the house, but if you thought you would take this outside while you sit on the back porch or do a little gardening, it won't work. I know many people would never use it in this way, so I consider that just a quibble.

If you are in the market for a monitor, and you have used an audio only monitor in the past you will never again use anything else. This is a purchase you will love!

Sound is very clear and loud, set up is very easy, video is very nice. Tried out night vision which also is good. No complains with it yet, I also like the colors.

Pretty good monitor. I like the original one that I bought for our oldest son. This one just doesn't quite have the range that the other one does and the other one interferes with the signal making it even worse. But the features of the monitor are great, useful and easy to use.

26 out of 77

After going through several brands, this monitor worked best for us. The temp is accurate within a couple of degrees, the two way talk/nature sounds is controlled by the handheld and has a volume which is controlled on the camera which is wonderful and many other brands do not have that (a lot also don't offer an antenna on the handheld device but this one does!), pan tilt and 2x zoom from the handheld, the night vision is great and this can be mounted on the ceiling, it has motion tracking, recording and the ability to take pictures, you can see 4 cameras at once and set alarms if the temperature drops too low or a timer. The only thing I've had trouble with is accessing the menu, the "enter" button is hit by clicking in the "joystick" and sometimes it doesn't register but after the frustration of dropped signals and cameras moving by themselves with other brands, this one was a relief! Have not had any problem with signal in my home and I love being able to see baby when I am not home. The handheld monitor does have to be plugged into the WiFi base for the remote viewing to be possible. At night we just plug in the monitor next to our bed and leave the screen off so the sound still plays an turn the screen on only to check on baby. Its an easy push of a button on the top. Overall I would definitely recommend this to any mom! I'm so glad we chose this camera over the others!

A few weeks ago I wrote about a problem with the night vision. I had submitted a ticket and warranty information and was promptly attended and was sent a new camera. The problem has been resolved and I am pleased with the rapid response of the Lorex Team.

After two months, suddenly the night vision stopped working. The camera works fine in daylight or with ample ambient light but not in the baby's room at night. There is no mention that I can find that this is something that can be turned on and off, so I assume that there is a flaw. I have written to Support and awaiting response now. The range of the monitor is also pretty limiting. It drops the signal fairly often and makes a beeping noise when it does which can be sleep-disturbing. The music is nice, and the walkie-talkie voice option is excellent.

I haven't got to use it yet, but I am excited to try it. The snap between the connection piece of the camera and base is too fragile and I would recommend better packing or having the consumer attach the 2 piecies together.

With the intention of purchasing a second monitor for travel and for main use at my parents house when my daughter stays there. I now decided to keep this one for home! After using a monitor for over a year that's double the price, I saw this one at Walmart and decided to purchase it. Glad I did. Very happy with the quality, ease of use, bigger screen and features. So far so good!

Very Happy to have /choose this monitor

Do not need to read instruction. Very easy to set up and activate it. Various Practical Functions except temperature alam. (you can see the current temp on the monitor and set up alarm but it is limited to control temp low and high. (I wanted to set the alarm at 72 (low) and 79 (high), but I couldn't) Monitor is clear to see during day and night. Sound is great (there was no delay)

Works great

Only real issue is battery life. For the most part it stays on the charger but, if it is in use more than 3 hours(camera on and off) it starts to quickly die. Other than that it gives great picture quality in night vision and standard.

Great Monitor, Quality Picture and Sound

I'm impressed with the quality picture this monitor has to offer. It is sharp image, especially compared to some other brands I have used. The daytime quality is obviously much better than the night vision. I love that I can see the movement of my son breathing while he is sleeping. The music command is great when your baby needs something soothing. There are different songs that you can select from or you can even select the feature to speak to your baby and sing to them yourself. I've had other brands recently that I had to give away or re-sell because the light on it was too bright but I do no have that issue with this monitor. The light glows in an amber color so it is soft and dull. It provides just enough light but not too much. The sound is great and I don't think you'll ever need to use it on a high volume setting. I find it adequate while on 1 or 2. The handheld monitor is lightweight and easy to carry. The buttons are labeled with easy to read/understand icons identifying their functions. The battery life seems to be good so far. I have accidently not plugged it in one night on a weekend around 10/11pm and it was still on at 6am. WHAT I DISLIKE: -It barely has pegs/legs for a stand. I like to keep mine on the nightstand next to my bed and I used to always knock it down just reaching for it. Now I lay it on its back because it is too easy to knock over. -The screen does not have a timeout/screensaver function. You have to manually turn the screen off so that it does not burn an image into the screen.

***************UPDATE 8/25/2013****************

I've seen some reviews where other people have complained that they don't get a good range with it but I have not experienced this problem. My son's room is on the front side of the house and when he naps, I usually go outside and do yard work in the back of my house outside and haven't had any issues. To date I still absolutely love this monitor and now I plan on buying another camera so I have two views.

We needed an extra monitor, but we didn't want to buy another pricey Motorola (MBP36) monitor, even though we really love it. We ordered a bare-bones video monitor by Infant Optics (DXR-5), but realized we really wanted the ability to talk to our daughter via the monitor, a feature we frequently use on our Motorola. So we returned that one & ordered this one, on sale at the same price as the Infant Optics monitor ($99). This monitor has the talk feature, and so much more than the basic monitor, as well as some features comparable to or better than our Motorola monitor. Even though we don't use it, the lullaby music sounds better than our Motorola (less tinny & creepy). This monitor also has a VOX feature which triggers the monitor screen to turn on when a certain threshold of noise is detected in the child's room, and you can set the sensitivity of the noise trigger. Our Motorola does not have the VOX feature at all, and it's a pretty convenient feature. Only downside I can think of is that I wish the Lorex camera had a bit more flexibility in manual positioning, like rotation along its axis, not just up & down. Haven't compared the reception distance yet, or battery life, but overall seems to be an excellent value for the sale price.

We were looking for a video monitor that will grow with our little one from peeking in on sleeping baby to monitoring tantrums so we can intervene if the room is being destroyed. Ha! This monitor seems to do the trick. The screen is a decent size. It captures image well: day or night, and it has a zoom feature we like too (although, that image can be grainy at times). I love being able to talk back to my child to soothe him without having to be right there instantly. Having the temperature show on there is a great feature too, so I know whether he might be cold or warm. It's definitely a good monitor so far & I'd recommend it.

Love this monitor! It has very cool features and a great picture. Much nicer than the one we had for oyr daughter two years ago. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

This is a good baby monitor, I got this monitor because my kids share a room and i wanted to be able to watch them. The picture on the monitor is very good, as well as the sound. The features are nice and my 4 year old loves that it plays music and asks for me to turn it on every night. The zoom can be a little touchy but over all it works well. I wish that you could move the camera around to look at every area of the room but this isn't necessary. The only complaint I have is that the base makes a strange noise at time that can be heard over the monitor, but turning it off and back on resolves this. Very good product, I have enjoyed it.

My only complaint is the the picture is more black and white than in color. It stays charged for hours, and it shows the temp in the room (with alerts if it is too hot or too cold). You can talk into the remote for the child to hear you and it plays music. Monitors with a video camera are usually a lot more expensive. You get what you pay for but for the price, it's a good value.

Bought this as the deal of the day for $80 and it was worth every penny. Clear screen, great night vision, awesome sound quality, and easy to use! So glad we have this to keep a close eye on our newborn son while we aren't directly next to him. Fabulous addition to our nursery!

This monitor a great monitor! Our last monitor (different brand) finally died, and amazon was having a killer deal on this one. Have it a shot and it works awesome! The only thing I do sometimes complain about is that the lowest volume setting is still really loud. So we can't play the lullibies or anything at night because it'll keep us up.

All the nifty features on it is really cool!

It's a great monitor!

We had originally purchased a Summer Infant Touch 2 from BRU and I was skeptical to open it. The reviews weren't the greatest and many people complained about it not working after a short while. It sat in our bedroom for about 3 weeks and one day I got an email that this camera was on deep discount on Amazon. I rushed to look at reviews and do some research and was surprised with the positive feedback.

My husband and I decided to give it a shot and I am so glad we did! We both love the camera. Everything from the two way talk, to zoom to lullabies has been great. I can't complain about the monitor whatsoever. In a few short weeks we will be welcoming our second addition and have already purchased the additional camera and look forward to seeing how multiple cameras work together.

My daughter was getting ready to have are first Grandchild. We thought a Baby Monitor would be a great gift. I was looking for an Audio Baby Monitor and was getting pretty frustrated by the lousy reviews. Then this showed up as a Deal of the Day. I researched many more units then ordered this one. I was a gift for the Baby shower. the day after it arrived she went into labor. lol the baby was at the baby shower. Anyway we gave this to her the day she came home and it has been a Godsend for her. Works very good the monitor is very detailed, easy to operate, and has not had any issues in the first month. So far it's been a bargain.

The nice thing about this monitor is that it works right out of the box with little need for technical wizardry of any sort. The image quality ranges from very good to acceptable depending on the light in the room and there is a decent amount of range that should get anywhere in most houses. The construction is solid and it has nice extras like rechargeable battery, night vision, and two way talk. It is a good investment to keep a close watch on your most precious investment.

I have to say that I didn't do a lot of prior research on this unit before buying it, as it was a deal of the day and was $100 off. Upon receiving it and taking it out to use, I found several of the features to be above and beyond what I expected. I like the dual conversation mode which allows me to talk to baby from outside of the room. I also like that I am able to turn on lullabies from my device, again without being in the room. We also tested the range and were quite impressed. The picture is not super clear, but for $79, I definitely got my money's worth.

Works very well even in low light. And the volume is very loud so you can hear even the smallest sound. I was lucky to get it at an extraordinary price of 79$ because of a Groupon, and I'm very satisfied with the product. Home is not big but 2 walls and an hallway in the middle are no problem for the signal. Battery lasts enough and keep all night under A/C I can keep an eye at my love while I go smoke a cigar in the balcony or go around the house. Sure, no bells and whistles but who cares?

We were impressed with this monitor and all the listed features worked as described.

-Night vision is cool

-Good resolution

-OK instructions

-Talking through the device works great

-No range problems, was able to use this two stories down

-Temperature alerts are a good idea

Other Notes:

-Need to plug in handheld part for overnight use (batteries only lasted around 6 hours)

-Camera can use 4 AAA batteries which last about 5 hours or must always be plugged in (we just keep it plugged in)

-Cord is a about 6 feet so you may need an extension to mount high on wall or on the ceiling

-Lullaby feature works but isn't very useful

-Night light is not bright at all

Overall we are really happy with it.

We bought it for the price and reviews. It is a great monitor. Awesome features like the night camera & the music. The battery does not last for a whole day but it is mention on the instructions. Very practical it is more like 4.5 starts to be honest. It is our 3rd baby so it's worth it.

It's definitely a good monitor so far & I'd recommend it.

We bought two of these cameras to go with our Sweet Peek baby monitor and are not disappointed. Setup was easy, the picture is clear, and the two-way talk feature is a must. It's also nice to be able to turn on a nightlight or play music for our little guys - all controlled from the base receiver.

The only reason I'm deducting a star is that when the camera is mounted on a wall, the camera angle is limited - you can't turn the point the camera up very far.

This monitor works great! The night vision is clear and I love all the features on this monitor. I also love that you can attach another camera to it so you can have a camera in each kids room and then switch from camera to camera.

Great video Monitor.

Picture quality is very clear. The lens gets a wide view of the entire crib in only a short distance.

Sound quality is excellent. Very clear.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product.

The key points I was searching for in a video monitor was:

1. Turn off video with continued sound monitoring

2. Talk-to-child capability

3. Pan around the room

This monitor has the first two. The "Pan" feature is not a true pan, it is only functional while zoomed in at which point you are able to pan the zoomed in view. The picture and sound are both clear enough. The talk feature is not weird or creepy sounding. The music is mellow and at a good volume on the child's end HOWEVER it will play rather loudly through the parent unit due to the speaker on the child's unit being obviously right by the microphone. No matter, in our experience our son does much better with white noise (he prefers ocean waves, the little bugger). The sound machine is located on the opposite side of his room and does not "wake" the monitor when it is in sleep voice activated mode.

I never got into video monitors until this! The picture is super clear and the audio is the best. I love being able to actually listen to my son breathe. The monitor is across the room from him and if I turn the audio all the way up I can hear him breathe and it is wonderful!! This is just a great product. It holds a charge really well. If I had to think of one negative it would be that the screen scratches relatively easily. Easily if you mean letting your ten month old crawl with it ;)

My 9 year old has a lot of anxiety and is prone to nightmares. Now he stays in his bed all night, thanks to this "baby" monitor. I keep it set on Voice-Activated, so when I hear a bad dream getting ahold of him, I can easily push the button to softly speak to him and within minutes he is relaxed and sleeping peacefully.

This Lorex monitor also helps when he doesn't feel well or gets scared in the night. All he has to do is say "Mommy?" and I can soothe him right back to sleep with a push of the button. When necessary, I can take his medicine in to him or go in to feel his forehead, but in most cases, the monitor tells me what I need to know to help him get back to sleep.

From a technical standpoint, the monitor is very easy to use, and after just a few minutes with the manual I was able to use the various features, including zooming in and panning from side to side. The sound quality is great, and the picture quality is pretty good.

I'm sure this would work wonderfully for a baby, but I have to say in our case, my older child and I have both had many more peaceful nights since getting this monitor. I highly recommend it.

We have this one set up in our baby girl's room (well, she's 18 months now, but she's still our baby!), and the image is clear and the monitor and receiver have been reliable. I love the ability to talk to her or start music for her from the receiver, and it function just as described.

So why not five stars? Well, we also have a Levana video monitor, and it has a couple of features that this one conspicuously lacks: the ability to pan the room and a bigger screen. The Levana is my perfect video monitor, and any other video monitor will be compared to it. (This one is in a room in which panning isn't crucial, though, so this one gets the job done.)

It's very easy to install and use (up and running within 10 mins of taking it out of the box) The night feature is a little choppy when watching my husband move around, but it may have also been the lighting in the rest of the house. I love that this has an intercom and temperature feature on it. It allows me to soothe a crying and tired baby without having to go into the room and make sure the room its comfortable for the baby when the temperatures drop overnight. There is a music and zoom feature along with the day/night camera and a charger for the handheld monitor. The monitor doesn't include a stand, which would have been nice, rather only a belt clip, for in my circumstances, a little pointless. All in all, it seems like a tough and useful device with monitoring nurseries and playrooms.

I have one other video baby monitor, which actually costs more, and find myself using this set more. It's very handy, easily portable, and visual quality is excellent... especially in pitch dark.

After a very easy plug and play setup, you are ready to go right out of the box with little effort. Place it anywhere and use it anywhere. What more could you ask for. It picks up sound levels to your specifications, and is silent by choice on the other end. With a wide range, I am able to go into the basement or even my driveway, and still have a clear signal. The best appeal is that the monitor goes into your pocket allowing you that much needed extra hand when moving around.

It's plugged in mostly at all times, but you can move it around without wires when you need to. Use rechargeable AAA batteries and you are good to go without waste.

The most impressive part of this is in fact the night vision feature. I put the unit in my linen closet, pitch black, and could see everything clearly. Highly recommended. And a perfect shower gift!

My fiance and I are in the process of building out our home to get it ready for the future. We started looking into the Lorex Sweet Peek to get an idea of what sort of range the device would have in our apartment building. We live in a pretty modern building with cement ceilings and walls (earthquake zone sort of situation) so I was worried that perhaps the connection would have a hard time going from our second bedroom to the master one on the other side of the building. Luckily we tried it out and the connection was, for the most part, pretty good. We did notice the same issue a few other reviewers noticed where there was a noticeable latency issue between the camera and the receiver when we used them from a further distance. I image we'd mostly rely on this device for the noise threshold feature and just to keep a general eye on our future children so I don't see that as being a critical problem but for the cost of the device I wonder if it should have a stronger range.

Either way I found the device to be wonderful and I highly suggest it to others looking to keep an eye on loved ones.

This is a very nice baby monitor that is easy to set up and use. It's wireless and can run on batteries so you can carry the monitor around and still have an eye on your precious one. I have never owned a baby monitor before so I didn't know what to expect. The sound and video is crystal clear and even the night vision works well.

This baby monitor is great. It has everything you need to ensure your little one is safe and secure, and is easy to set up and easy to use. The picture and sound are both clear and clean. I was especially impressed with the clarity of the picture at night, something I had not experienced with my previous baby monitors. What a great feature in an affordable product. I would also recommend that parents try the "sound only" mode during nap time or periodically, as one thing I found is that it significantly reduces the drain on the battery. This is a really nice product and would make the perfect baby gift.

I gave this to a friend as a baby gift. This was their first child and they were very, very nervous. This monitor not only offered the basics, but with the intercom, IR Night Vision, Zoom, built in music, AC adapter capability, etc - they fell in love with it. Being able to check in on their child in the dark (with the night vision), carrying the monitor around the house, digitally zooming in - these are the things parents want. This was a big hit!

My wife and I love this video monitor. It has truly given us a brand new perspective on our baby. There is nothing parents want more then to know their child is safe and secure, and the Lorex Sweet Peek Video Baby Monitor does just that for us. Furthermore, the night vision and zoom features are tremendous upgrades from our previous monitor. We can see as clear at night as we can during the day.

I highly recommend this product.

I love my Lorex sweet peak video baby monitor! It was great to finally be able to watch my baby's movements that went along with the noises we had been listening to!

I like that I can charge the receiver and carry it around the house with me. The camera provides a clear picture with night vision when it is dark. I only wish the night vision kicked in when it is a little darker. I have found that our monitor is almost always automatically in night vision mode even during the middle of the day. I obviously have my baby nap with the curtains closed and the lights off but to me it still seems light enough to not be in night vision mode.

I like the fact that I can speak to my child through the receiver. (I'm expecting to use this feature more when baby's a little older). The lullabies are nice, but I haven't really played them much as they seem a little too loud and blaring and I can't adjust the volume of them.

Great product!!

Although my kids are all grown, I picked this up for when my grand children come to visit. I have a fairly large home and this handheld monitor has no problem picking up the signal anywhere within my home and even outside in the yard. The fact it is all digital probably helps in the range and clarity. At first inspection I thought battery usage would be great, but this unit can be plugged in, which is very useful. I haven't used the night vision aspect of it, but just playing around with the features and getting used to it I tried it at night and it works just fine. The entire unit is operated by the hand-held, including the zoom and sound controls. So easy to setup, simply by pointing the camera towards where baby will be playing or sleeping and go about your business, not having to worry because you can not only see what is going on, but hear also. The price is reasonable making this little Baby Sitter well worth the expense.

I love this baby monitor. I plugged it in and it worked perfectly. No static, no channel changes, no issues! It seems a little odd that the pictures shows the child in color since the monitor is black and white. I don't have a problem with it being black and white, but I thought it was odd. The monitor tells you the temperature in your child's room and it has been accurate 100% of the time. I also like that it will play music if you would like it to. My only con is the price. It is a little pricey, but I wonder if you get what you pay for? I have had bad experiences with static and the constant need to change channels with other monitors. All in all I am very satisfied with this monitor.

While I know this does not have all of the bells and whistles that some video monitors have, I am very happy with this product. It does what I want it to do. It gives me a clear image of my son sleeping in the dark. The screen times out after a while but the sound continues to work so if you hear something you can touch a button and see your child again. I do not use the talk or lullaby feature as this only gets my son excited and prevents him from falling asleep. I also have not tested out the battery yet as I have always left it plugged in. I think the night vision is perfect. I have no problems seeing my son in the dark. It is very easy to use and set up. I would recommend this product for someone who simply wants a video monitor to watch and hear their child.

The monitor is small. The overall size of the monitor is about 4 X 2 X 7/8" (not including the belt clip). The screen measures about 1 x 2 inches. It does not come with a stand, but it will stand upright on its own.

The video quality of this monitor is okay. The colors are a bit muted. At times, it just appears as black and white. The camera is not adjustable from the monitor. The night vision feature is nice and worked well. You can turn off the video capture and just have audio monitoring.

The audio quality was not great, but was not bad. It was a bit better than the Lorex LW2450 LIVE Video Baby Monitor)

It has 2 way audio so you can talk to your baby before you go to his room. Hopefully, hearing your voice is enough to calm the baby down and reassure him so that you don't have to go to his room.

I like the music feature. You can press a button on the monitor and music will play from the camera to soothe the baby.

The screens on these things are getting better and better. Our first video monitor was big and bulky. It took up a lot of room and did a poor job of seeing our son at might. Now years later (we will always need a monitor for him for medical reasons) Both of us love this monitor. It is small and compact on both ends. Plays music (which we don't use but parents of very small children may). Has a 2-way speaker. Has a really good night vision. Quietly turns on whenever there is movement. So far after a few weeks of using this monitor we are just as happy with it now as we were when we first started using it.

UPDATE: 4/18/2012

After a few more days of using I find I wish the buttons were illuminated at night time so I wouldn't have to fumble to find the proper one.

Lorex BB2411 Sweet Peak Video Baby Monitor with IR Night Vision and Zoom is a must have product for those who want to keep a close watch on their newborn child or your young kid. The camera looks like a web camera but it has a lot of cool features. The Night Vision works very well and the microphone on it is super sensitive. I really enjoyed the features on it and the fact that the remote 2.4 inch monitor is hand held and rechargeable. It has a life of six hours but its a lot shorter if you don't forget to completely shut it down. You can also operate the camera either on batteries or with a plug-in adapter (which I highly recommend). You can also use it to keep an eye on the living room or monitor your pets. Just make sure the camera is not too far out of the range of the monitor.

I really liked how much bang for your buck you can get out of this monitor. Hide it and scare your friends and family. If you are looking for a baby monitor camera for you newborn, toddler or youngster then I highly recommend the Lorex BB2411.
