Connect over Wi-Fi with no hardwired connection to the router necessary, so there's no need for an Ethernet cable as long as your router has a WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) function. The camera can detect and connect to your Wi-Fi network and start streaming video right away.
The Vantage Stream IP Camera is ideal for consumers who want a reliable, affordable, and expandable solution for monitoring multiple locations. Expand your view and watch over multiple locations with up to 16 additional cameras simultaneously! Using H.264 video compression technology in the camera maximizes recording space and conserves Internet bandwidth. These applications give the user the ability to setup motion activated and scheduled recordings to the camera, microSD card, the local memory of the computer, smartphone, or tablet, or a Network Video Recorder (NAS - Network Attached Storage) with no recurring fees!
The advanced playback software for your PC or MAC the L-Play; enables your recorded footage where ever it is stored to be streamed over the Internet to be viewed on your personal computer. Search for those important moments of your recordings using the advanced calendar playback menu, by selecting the year, month, date, the time of the day or just the motion recorded events. You can even select specific snippets of your recordings right down to the second to be converted to .avi format making it easier to back-up or share the videos via your social networks like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

Instantly know if anything happens at your home, small business or vacation properties all at once!
This camera was built with a dual lens to deliver enhanced day imagery and excellent night vision observation. One lens is used specifically for day time operation providing a clean and colourful picture. Great Camera for the purposes each time I travel I can watch my house, the only issue I have is with the PING 2 app for IOS, I can not access the alarm notification settings because they ask for a password and username which I tried all I have with no success so I went back to the old app.
Terrible camera, has lots of networking problems. Goes on net and then takes days to reconnect. My other cameras do not have this problem, yes they are Lorex. L-View software for the Mac is junk, if your program crap you get crap.
We're sorry to hear you are not satisfied with your cameras and have attempted to contact you to assist. Please reply to our emails or call our technical support team and we will be happy to assist you 1-877-755-6739.

Bought one a couple years ago, I liked it so much we decided to buy another. Easy to set up on iPhone, I would highly recommend the LNC116.
Location: Los Angeles
I have only tried fixed IP/ethernet on a Mac/Iphone and this camera is great, fast connect & good picture, good iPhone interface. I have a ticket pending for an OS X Yosemite "L-View" update, this app could use a Mac rewrite. The camera scheduling & email notifications were exactly what I was looking for.

I love the ease and convenience with which I can now view using the IP camera. I have a few suggestions as to improving the software, and the enclosed instructions, but the camera and it's operation are terrific. Great product.
Not nearly as easy advertised. Direct WPS setup did not work with a new generation WPS router. Everything had to be done manually. There are caveats and changes in instructions for every variation in first and second generation iphones and ipads. Had to call customer support to set up password because Lorex web page would not communicate with ipad, only PC. Note: your account password has to be exactly 8 letters...just a little thing they don't mention in the written instructions. Finally got it to work on both iphone and ipad after a few hours. Also, have to reprogram after any power interruption. Lastly, they require you to take a picture (that's right, take a picture) of your receipt, and download it to their web page to complete the warranty registration...why can't their computer link up an online receipt with model and serial number like every other company in the world? Lorex, you really need to fix this! One star because at least it finally worked after several hours of effort.

I recently purchased 2 additional LNC 116 IP wireless cameras because I was so impressed with the 1st two I purchased.
They are so simple to install and are crystal clear viewing on my laptop, a Iphone and IPad.
The night vision is also very impressive as is the recording capability.
Even more impressive though is how he service level for customer and technical support has improved.
Previously, it was not uncommon to be on hold for minimum 45 minutes to an hour before being able to speak to a Technical support person.
Three times this week I called in concerning various issues and was answered immediately by very professional and customer focus individuals....
Well done Lorex..... Quality products backed by great service..... A marriage made in heaven.

I am very pleased with my all purchase.
First I order 2 set and then another 2 set and again another 2 set of cameras.
Customer service is excellent they answer all your question whenever you post it.
I can watch all the cameras thru my phone and computer.
Trust Lorex and buy direct from Lorex and I hope you will be satisfied with your purchase as I am.
works perfect, easy to set up, iPhone and iPad apps work perfect and iMac interface no problems will buy more

Easy to set up (on mobile device)
The camera works.
The camera works with the iPhone.
The software will NOT work on a Mac. CS doesn't seem aware of this... yet can't get it to work either. I want to use the huge HD on my computer to record. Won't happen.
The resolution is good enough to make out what you're looking at. But don't expect detail. The HD models are moderately better.
They expect me to pay shipping both ways when I return this due to the fatal flaw (theirs!) that the camera will not work on a Mac as it is advertised to do.
We're in discussions now. Or more accurately due to the non-responsiveness of the company - we're in a monolog about returning.
Two stars because the camera DOES work. In fact the hardware seems quite robust. It's the SW that really lets this thing down.
I love the ease of setup with these cameras. Pop in a microSD card and you can keep the video or simply use your smartphone and Lorex Ping for a quick glance when you are away. Uses minimal data of your phone plan to check your cams for 5-10 seconds each multiple times per day. NO PORT FORWARDING! Once a cam is set, you can move it anywhere within range of your wifi and just plug it back in to electrical socket. Set motion alarm and you will be notified of trigger and watch the video starting a few seconds before the motion to get entire scenario. Great peace of mind! Picture qualtiy on a smart phone gives you enough to know what you need to know. You're not going to be able to read license plate numbers or zoom in on faces, but you will know more than you did without the camera!!!!
This is an easy camera to setup and it works well. And being able to view it on my smart phone from anywhere is great.

Great IP Camera! Very easy to set up. Scheduling was a breeze... Highly recommend this camera .

The Lorex software is easy to use and setup. We just wish that they provided 16 cameras with a 16 channel DVR.

Being retired and not at all a tech savvy individual, I did have my doubts about my ability to understand this product and actually make it work on my Mac. Upon receipt of the LNC 116, I set aside one afternoon and began the process of reading the instructions provided and watching the videos on the Lorex website. It took about 4 hours total for me to get the camera up and running, start to finish. I still have not mastered all the intricacies of the numerous features, but it's coming along nicely. Overall, I enjoyed the challenge and the learning experience that came from it. I am really happy with the end result; so much in fact that I plan on adding more cameras in the near future. Thank you Lorex.
Very easy setup but not very good picture quality.

I'm a techie but I didn't need any of that knowledge to install this. It was just as easy as advertised. Put in the CD, install the software to connect it to the network. Then a simple scan of the barcode to get your mobile device to work with it. Couldn't be simpler. I would highly recommend this camera.

This camera is great for checking on things when away. The motion-detection system offers sensitivity settings as well as a few storage or email options. The camera doesn't "look like a camera" and is less intimidating and noticeable for visitors (and burglars) than large lens alternatives. I like the iOS interface, and very importantly love this camera's ability to re-initialize itself after a connection loss (using WPA2 wifi encryption) which is critical when on travel. For the price I believe this is a very good choice for the price point and feature set combination, and as an IP cam it doesn't require a base station. If you need higher res than 640x480, it will either cost more or have fewer features overall at this price. My preference is to use 4 of these over a couple of wide angle hi-res cams for greater stealth and angle options, but again individual needs should be considered before choosing a cam. I have found tilt/pivot cams are great but tend to become center pieces instead of fixtures when placement is attempted and they are anything but subtle when moving.
The setup is fairly easy because you can do mostly everything on a mobile device. The sensitivity levels on this camera are WAY off. I tried all of them. A tree branch moving will set it off or turning a light on or off. If you put it too low, it will not record at all. Settings on motion detection recordings cannot be changed like other cameras I have owned. I was getting email notifications about every 5 minutes on my phone! The picture quality is way better than the d-link camera I owned previous to this one although I like the features on the d-link I returned it and will continue my search.

The picture in daytime and at night was a good resolution and had no lag. Even a novice like myself was able to set up the IP camera wirelessly over my home network. Although my eBook reader would not read the bar code, I could manually set up the camera with its serial number both on my eBook reader through the lorex App and my desktop with the lorex software. Unfortunately the android APP that the lorex uses to connect to the camera over the internet would not connect the camera to me when I was at remote hotspots. It was for that reason that I returned the camera. What good is a surveillance camera that you can only connect to when you are on your home network.
This camera was so easy to set up and configure. I had it working in under 2 minutes. I have no reservation recommending this to anyone needing a wireless day night camera. Can access the recordings via my iphone, ipad and laptop. No complaints whatsoever.
Cameras work great. But Mac users beware, software does not work as ADVERTISED on the box!
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would have given this product 5 stars, had the software worked on my Mac as advertised and had customer support been better. it has been days and I am yet to hear back from them.
I am in retail sales and services (I am a tech) and I would never keep my customers waiting for days! Customer support gets 0 stars!!!

VERY nice product but... Poor video quality
For beginners and advances - perfect
I did read a lot, before buy this camera, but was a surprise to see that is much better. For beginners is very easy to setup. NO DDNS, port redirection, etc. For advancer, you can control a lot of specs using the web interface, for this you can use DDNS, port redirection or NAS. Image is very good and you can control quality x bandwidth usage. Night mode is almost perfect because it uses two different sensors for night and day It records on internal SD-card, and because uses a PIR, the camera always record what you need. To see the recorded events is very easy using Lview software. I bought one, than I bought another two.

Bought one camera originally. Bought 3 more a month later because they are so easy to set up and very user friendly. Keeping an eye on things at home when I am away at work. Still trying to find out all that they can do, but I am learning week by week. Pictures are amazingly clear. Can't wait to see the clarity on my next mobile phone. Excellent price!
The LNC116 I purchased, couldn't be connected. I call the tech support, very busy , hard to understand the tech's , they didn't know how to solve my problem connecting, I have a MAC computer. One tech work with me and couldn't fix the problem, he refer me to second level tech and he couldn't fix the problem so he refer me to level 3 tech and the same. Over two hour on the phone with know positive results. Plus a long wait time just to speak to anybody. Return the product.

The camera is fine but you can ONLY expand with LNC116 or LNC104 models, which they don't mention. So now I'm stuck, unless I sell this one and change my system.
Dealing with "customer service" is THE WORST!!!
I'm giving it 2 stars only because it works.
Location: New York
Clear picture. Relatively easy to install and setup. Still trying to learn all the options to it.
I don't know what's wrong but the instructions are minimal and there is no trouble shooting guide so it must be a bad camera. I do what it says and all it says is "failed" when I try get it to do anything. It can find the camera on the network.
The system was fairly easy to install. The picture is great and the ability to take pictures and record from your phone is a great feature. I would recommend this product to others.
Location: Boynton Beach, Florida
I bought this from brand smart and this was perfect for my living room. I wanted to be able to watch my home from my wireless device while at work. The audio and video is perfect. I like how you have the ability to record from your cell phone without taking up space on the sd memory card. The only thing I don't like is that the wall mount could be more stable. It was hard to position the camera perfectly. Overall, I would recommend this product to all.
Location: Agoura Hills
Very expensive and the resolution is very poor. I have it in my living room to check my dogs, and I cant even see cross the room. I only see shadows when my dogs moving.
This is a really great system, photos are incredibly clear, easy setup. Recommending to family and friends!
It connects very easy both installation and monitoring.
I recommend this product 1000% yes 1000%
Picture quality is gret including mobile.
Got what I paid for.
Very easy to set up and use. Start it up, connect it and play with it at your desk before permanently installing. If using with a w-fi only connection, consider signal strength before installing. If router signal strength is low, bandwidth and image quality must be reduced via software.
Link & website work well. Software allows very reasonable adjustability, access to features and intuitive use. Camera lenses are fine, low light & night vision work well. It is very good for monitoring the front door. It is not a super camera designed for long range and control, but that's not what I purchased. I may now purchase another, different Lorex camera for more a more challenging application.
Again, satisfied that I received what I paid for (price & ease of setup and use).
These are the best cameras I've come across for the money...

Great Camera, Easy Setup
Really nice camera, setup could be done using your mob device only, QR code for setup a nice feature as well. Really like it, using a baby monitor.
