The pan-tilt ability of the LNC254 WiFi security camera will greatly expand your monitoring coverage. This camera can be programmed for automatic patrols or you can adjust the field of view straight from your smartphone. This feature is especially effective when combined with the motion and sound activated alerts provided by the camera.
Two separate lenses are used for day and night video. One lens is used for daytime viewing while the other lens is specially designed for low-light conditions. Your camera also contains a powerful infrared LED that allows you the ability to see up to 30ft away in total darkness.
A built-in microphone and speaker allow for two-way intercom abilities. This ability will provide you with many benefits, such as:
Two different kinds of detection abilities ensure nothing is missed. Along with standard video motion detection technology, the LNC254 wireless monitoring camera will also provide you with alerts if the built-in microphone detects sound.
Use a wireless or wired connection depending on your needs. Connect the camera over Wi-Fi with no hardwired connection to the router (as long as your router has a WPS function) if you want to keep your camera mobile. A wired connection might be for you, on the other hand, if you mount the camera to a ceiling or wall. This hardwired Ethernet connection will provide you with a stable network connection and maximum connection speed.

I've had 4 Lorex 216 cameras for 2 yrs now and I very satisfied with them. I just purchased this new very similar version , the LNC254, and I'm already having 2 issues: 1) In one of the cameras the Night Mode control doesn't revert back to Day mode at the expected light level (you have to give it a jolt of 40 lux or more to make it switch; 2) Sunlight saturates the sunny areas of the image even though the video is set to Outdoor. Changing to Indoor+Sunlight doesn't improve it either, (it shouldn't). This second issue is more concerning because it affects both cameras in the pack... The Jury is out until I get an answer from CS.
Setup is very easy and the PTZ has a good range of motion.
Thank you for your feedback. We were happy to resolve the issues for you.

The LNC254 is an excellent camera with many features that you would find in higher priced cameras. I had some trouble initially being able to control pan/tilt but after contacting their support I was given a link to the correct software for my Mac. The phone app works great and is easy to use, motion and sound sensing work very well.

The LNC250 is everything that I wanted in a home security camera. It is a remote pan/tilt/view IP camera that is controllable over the Internet with my iPhone or iPad. Setup was pretty simple. So far it's very stable and I haven't had any loss of connectivity. Mine is set up on my wi-fi network and plugged into AC power. I'd like to mount it high up out of reach of any intruder but the AC power requirement limits that option. I don't have any AC outlets high up in the wall or ceiling. It's not that big a deal since an intruder could switch off the power at the circuit breaker box anyway, but not before tripping the motion and sound detectors in the camera. Motion and sound sensing trips notifications on my iPhone, which is a great feature. The night picture quality is much better than I expected. I'm debating the need for a 32GB SD micro memory card since I can store the video on my iPhone if necessary. I like having the ability to listen to the audio as well as stream the video. It works very well on the Verizon LTE cellular network. There's the normal latency but it's not hard to work with. If you turn on the microphone and speak through the camera, the sound quality is marginal, but I doubt that I'll use that feature much anyway. Time will tell the camera's endurance and connection stability but so far it's impressive. I ordered a two pack of the LNC254 because I was so pleased with the LNC250. The phone app allows quite a few cameras in the list. It looks like 6 might be the limit, but I'm not sure.
