I've had this system for several days and so far I'm pleased. The video quality isn't the best but it's adequate for my needs. Both cameras are functioning properly and are very clear. I had a problem with the system settings resetting it self but I set it to the current date, time etc. again and it appears to be working fine now. I'm pleased with the overall quality and operation of this system.
i am very pleased with help of replacing my camera after i had it a yr and never got it installed . the price was very good since one of the camera i had did not work . i am hearing impaired and they let me do everything on line with their help a very great staff thanks max
Camera works great. Good range. Night vision, speaker and mic all work well. Video quality is good, not great, but good. I now have 3 cameras for my system. Easy to set up and get working. I just can't figure out how to get the time stamp off of the camera. The camera's image has a time stamp on it, and it is wrong (different from the system time stamp) and I can't figure out how to change and or remove it. Other than that, good equipment.
Bought this 2 cam unit LW1742 and it is working as expected.

Product worked well did what i need it for. BUT came time to turn the footage in to the police for investigation i had a hard time getting the computer to read the files through the SD card. I called the tech support team was on the phone for 3 1/2 hours with them to have them tell me i was out of luck getting them to view on the computer to turn in. but in the mean time i could still view them on the hands free receiver. Asked if they would send a new receiver for the cameras so i can turn the footage in to the police department so they can review it and use it in their investigation. they would not assist me in this matter. i am very disappointed in their assistants to help me after spend $350 on their product for 4 cameras and now my house burglarized. Not having help From LOREX on this matter i Would NEVER RECOMMEND this brand to anybody.

Purchased this system several weeks ago. I am in the process of trying to learn how to work it. Have gotten language other than english on the sd card. The instructions that come with the system are very limited. If the sd card becomes full I am unable to access whatever data has been captured. Honestly can not say that I am 100% happy with the system. I will try to check back after more usage.
I can't fairly rate this yet, but I wanted to write up a quick note on support. Our unit arrived with a cracked mount. The box was unopened it was just a fluke. Support was easy to work with and has a new mount on the way.
I anticipate this unit will work perfectly for the monitoring we want to do. The monitor and cameras will be installed in an ideal location with direct line of sight, so we look forward to getting the system up and running.
Purchased this system about 6 months ago. Can't find a lorex video player or app. that will support my SD card on an Android tablet. Would be great to find an app that would make viewing the recordings easy. Also thought the package would at least come with a couple of decals. Your HELP would TRULY be APPRECIATED.

Had a security camera that worked with WiFi before hated it because I always lost signal, no matter where I was in relation to the camera and router in my home. The Lorex system is great because I do not run into this issue! Love how it was easy to set up and the directions were straightforward. However, for someone who isn't tech savvy or has never had a security camera, this system gets confusing. The touchpad can get wonky at times. MAJOR CON: No audio is recorded when motion is detected. >:( Overall, I recommend this for home security if you just want to monitor your property or around the house. I would not have this in my business since no audio can be recorded.

Bought the 2 camera a year ago already. Love it! Keeps us informed of what is happening outside since we spend most of our time indoors. It was weather tested last year when temps dropped to -10 degrees for several days. I use it on camera #1 all the time since we have limited area to monitor. Camera 2 is still in the box waiting to be used at another time. I'm still learning how to set it up to stay on the settings I programmed it for. Occasionally it reverts back to another date & time. I'm missing a setting so back to the instructions here on your website. For an inexpensive camera system it has been excellent. Night vision works well. Fogging happens occasionally so the picture is blurry but it clears up. My husband is now a believer and keeps the monitor in his sight whenever it is turned on. Great product for the money we invested in it. We highly recommend it.

Simple system had an issue and customer service took care of it next day.
Installed unit about three months ago. Used only one camera. Had problems from then on. It would not hold one view, kept switching the view. Then it just stopped working. I was given this as a gift, receipt cannot be found. Had to go to website to even set up the unit, NO instruction booklet. I am very disappointed in the unit. I now have a useless camera mounted.

I received my LW1742 about a week ago, set up was straightforward. No complicated wiring or internet connection required. Daytime images are very clear, motion detection is adequate. Overall, this is a good system. Although, it would have received a higher star rating if it allowed you to record sound in quad view or on motion dectection mode.
The device is adequate, but the way videos are stored is absurd. Instead of one folder containing all of the videos, the devices stores videos in copious amounts of nested folders. Trying to review a days worth of videos is amazingly frustrating and reviewing a weeks worth of videos is an absolute nightmare.
It is as if the developers of the firmware aren't actual users of the firmware.
I purchased this for my chicken coop and pen which is about 200 feet from my house, the system works great and once you figure out how to set the monitor it doesn't have to be split screen the monitor simply displays full screen camera one for a few seconds and then camera two for a few seconds. Night vision is super crisp and clear. I love this product but wish I could find two more cameras to add.

I received this set as a gift and it is a fantastic idea however their customer service is terrible. I was on the phone for over 16 minutes trying to get someone to help me and provide a user manual. The info that came with the set is not user friendly, the company needs to realize that not everyone that has this unit are hi-tech computer gurus.
Would love to have a user's manual.
I purchased this with 2 cameras. Had no problems getting it up and running except the monitor only shows half the screen because I don't have 4 camera's. I can't find any place it tells me how to fix this.....Directions are very skimpy and the touchscreen is enough to really get you po'd. I think if I could solve the problem I have I would be okay with it otherwise. I am rating it a 3 because of the touchscreen problems.
I was interested in a simple wireless monitoring system and this one fit the bill perfectly.
Setup was very easy although I had a bit of a challenge navigating the touchscreen. It is finicky but I have it up and running now and it works great. The cameras require power and it would be highly advantageous if there was an extension available for the power cord. I searched on the Lorex site but found nothing. I'm haven't set up the second camera as a result.
The cameras themselves are of good quality. The LCD monitor is low end but then again this is not an expensive system to purchase.
The unit has been up and running for a week now with good results.
All in all this is a great entry level system perfect for home use
