14 Connecting to Your System Using PC or MAC

You can connect to your security system over the Internet using VMS Client for PC and Mac computers. Securely connect to your system from anywhere with no recurring fees for live viewing.

The VMS Client software allows you to:

View live video from cameras over the Internet
Play back recorded video from the hard drive
Manually record video clips or save snapshots to your computer’s hard drive
Access your recorder’s complete set of menu options for remote configuration

To connect to your security system using VMS Client:

Enter the recorder’s Device ID or IP address.

	Note
To access the recorder remotely enter the Device ID. To access the recorder from the same network you must enter the IP address. To view the system information such as Device ID, IP address, and HTTP Port, see 13.3.8 View System Information .

Enter the HTTP Port.

Enter the User Name for the account you wish to log in as (default: admin).

Enter the password for the account you wish to log in as (default: 00000000).

For PC users, to download the VMS Client.

For Mac users, to download the VMS Client.
